We arrived three hours late due to our flight being delayed. The night clerk was friendly and checked us in promptly. The bed was really hard, but the hotel provided extras, such as a mini fridge and microwave, The breakfast was okay. We would stay here again, if we are back in the area.

It was easy to find and fairly close to everything we came to see/do. The bathtub had chips in the porcelain which were an eye-sore, but pretty good value for the &&&.

Its a cheap hotel...so don't expect the Four Seasons. But rooms are clean, free breakfast is good, beds not so good. If you need a place to stay for a couple of nights, though, not bad for the price. Will stay here again.

Upon check in the ft desk employee was scratching his lower areas the whole time he was helping us. Yuk. The room smelled like a chemical bath when we 1st walked in. We left the patio door open for a few hours and it got better. Trying to sleep was tough with all the vehicle traffic on division. A room for four people and one nights stay it was fine. Would I stay again probably not. For a "non-smoking" room it was the first thing you smelled. We travel with air freshner and that wasn't enough. The bathroom had a plug in air freshner that was empty. The t.v. remote on/off button didn't work. The staff was very nice and did what they could. Great location, staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and had everything we needed. My only complaint was the breakfast was supposed to go until 9:30. At 9:10 there was nothing left except cereal, waffles, bread and beverages. Obviously one shouldn't expect much from a free breakfast, but that was one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

We arrived early for check-in. The very friendly young man at the front desk got us a room. We went up but found the room still in process. The front desk asked us wait for another room that was almost finished. No worries. The next morning we woke up to snow outside so my friend turned on the heater. within 3 minutes the smoke alarm was screaming away […] above my head! The room was clean, but apparently the walls are not insulated well. Woke up many times to guests slamming their doors. Also the water temperature changed frequently while showering. My room was in the basement "dungeon" of the hotel. The tub and sink were very slow to drain accumulating nearly 3 inches of water. But that really didn't matter since there was no hot water either, so taking a shower was out of the question. The dead bolt didn't work properly and the security chain was completely broken. The hotel is older but there have been some updates. Some of the remodeling leaves a little to be desired like two different types of carpet in the same room. Overall, the bed was comfortable and it was clean and quiet.

Room was clean. Hotel was on a very busy street, getting in and out of parking lot was not the easy. There was no hot water. The best we could get was a luke warm shower. When we reported to staff all we got was a form to fill out and a business card for $10.00 off the next stay (which we won't be using).

The only concern we had was no ice machine was working on 3 floors. The air conditioning was working. The staff was exceptionally nice. We have slways found the Howard Johnson's to be a good hotel.

Our stay was just ok. Complaints -- 1. When checking in they tried putting us on the third floor, but due to my mom's knee we asked to be put on the first floor to avoid any stairs, but unknown to us the first floor was BELOW the main floor. And they didn't even try recommending to us the second floor didn't have any stairs. 2. Our sink was clogged […] and it took them a day and a half to even come and fix it! 3. Our hotel door never locked properly, you could literally just push the door open, instead of putting your room key in to open it. So we never kept anything of value in our room. They said they fixed it, but it still didn't work. 4. There was a huge odor of mildew all around the hotel. GOOD -- 1. The breakfast was good. IT WAS QUIET AND PLEASANT. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD ALTHOUGH EGGS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. THE HALL WAS TOO HOT NEXT TO THE VENDING MACHINE AND ICE MACHINE. OTHERWISE, IT WAS A PLEASANT STAY AND THE POOL WAS REALY NICE. :)
