I have stayed here at least a dozen times. Never for more than one night. I come to visit friends nearby. Though not fancy, they are very polite, and everytime I stay, it is very quiet. On this trip, my cool air didn't work. Now, I never did ask for any help, and since I was going to only be in the room for around 6 hours, I felt that I could be alright. […] Which I was. I travel to Wash State often and this was another quality Best Western property. Professional staff and super attention to cleanliness. Excellent cable TV and wifi service. Solid breakfast. Great location, close to downtown Mt. Vernon (go there!). Don't let the somewhat dated looks of the facility deceive you. It's a great place.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. T 4pm when we arrived the temperature in the room was 59. We turned up the thermostat to 70. Fifteen minutes later, nothing appeared to have happened so I called the front desk and was told that the room would slowly warm up. Well yes. By 10 PM it was 66 degrees in the room. The hotel was very old, the locks on the doors were not very secure. When I was parking a woman in a white mini van pulled up and asked me who I was. I refused to tell her then she became upset and yelled to me that she was hotel security. The continental breakfast was very poor and it felt like management was skimping on everything to save money. The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful but, the walls are thin, we could hear the gal in the next room coughing all night. So, we weren't able to sleep all that well, the location was convenient and for the price, it was as expected.

The main reason I chose this hotel was that it advertised T.V. with HBO. I wanted to relax and watch good movies through the evening. The hotel was full of refinery shift workers who were hanging out in the parking lot. Was a bit intimidated by them and was awakened at 6 am when the change of shift happened. My dogs had their noses to the floor all over the room suggesting that lots of dog/pet smells were "speaking" to them, and that the carpet could have been cleaner.
