"a great stay"
Room was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Although we didn't use it, it was interesting to find a TV in the bathroom. Check in was fast and convenient. Friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Almost as good as being at "home""
Smiling faces from reception to housekeeping. Liked the little cottage patio concept on the front porch where you can relax on a wicker couch, hear the birds chirping and the wind through the trees. ThanksGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Arrived late and spent 25 minutes in the lobby waiting for a desk clerk to check us in. :( Road to entrance wasn't marked, so that was a little confusing. Breakfast was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location, easy access. Pillows too soft, bed too soft. Rusty door frame in bathroom. Debris around back of building. Showed lack of supervision and grounds care. Adequate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We are currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on the complete renovation of the hotel. This includes the painting of all doors and frames in the hotel. Hotel seemed old: smeed old and had dated old stained carpet. Hot tub wasn't working. Bed was great, that was the best part of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to our location of pick up"
the stay was great but the bed sheets to our king size bed had holes in them, and why does the staff need to be so unfriendly they barely aknowledge you when you walk in and forget it if your leaving. No goodmorning good afternoon or goodnight!!!!! no, thank you for coming in or stopping by ??????Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to UW Point- visit our daughter"
We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the breakfast had very good varity. But I always give one suggestion to all hotel/motels, you need more hooks in the bathrooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Need a blanket"
Would have liked a blanket on the bed instead of just a sheet and the heavy comforter.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice placeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a very quick trip - just overnight - checking in at 11:00pm and out in the morning. Very comfortable beds and pillows and nice linens. We weren't traveling with our dog this trip but were glad to see the hotel is "Pet Friendly". We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the complimentary breakfast. We'll be back if we need a place in Stevens […] Point. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"August 5, 2014"
08/06/14 Julie B Stevens Point, United States
Comfortable beds, pillows; front desk very pleasant; room smelled "different" than I was used to experiencing in a hotel--I think it is the cleaning products. Regardless, I got a great night sleep after a long day in the car.
"Great Service, Large Rooms & Good Value"
08/06/14 Christopher F Holtsville, United States
I recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip. It was recommended due to its proximity to my client. The service and front desk was excellent. The rooms are very large and clean. They even have a TV in the bathroom. Indoor Pool and whirlpool were very nice. Plenty of pillows! Good value!
"Need some blinds"
08/05/14 Mike K mendota heights, United States
The back lights in the back parking lot stayed on until 5 am. Only blind were very thin. heavy blinds were for show and did not move to cover the windows. If you like sleep, do not go to this hotel. They also could afford to repaint the trim in the bathroom as our room showed a bunch of rust. It is too bad because the staff is super friendly and nice.
"Comfy, friendly hotel"

This hotel is a little gem. We have stayed here every year for the past 14 years for an annual camp. The staff is always friendly, and goes out of their way to meet your needs. The rooms are clean and the beds cozy. They serve a full breakfast and provide coffee, tea & cocoa all day and night, as well as cookies and fruit.
07/28/14 Chuck S Verona, WI, United States
I have stayed at Country Inn & Suites in the past. For the price, they usually are clean, fairly modern & offer a nice breakfast. This hotel had a nice breakfast but that is the only positive thing I can offer. Our room was not clean, the bathrooms very dated with tv (with a remote control in the bathroom) and cookies that were not fresh as many of the Country Inn & Suites offer. We had a group rate of $114 and it was below the standards of other nearby hotels. I would not recommend this hotel.
"Could have been 5 stars, but...."
07/20/14 gfox3 Jackson, Wisconsin
I called the day before I arrived and asked for a room with 2 beds. I was told "sure, no problem." When I arrived the next day I was checked into a room with 1 bed. I went to the desk and was told there were no rooms with 2 beds available, but for $10/night I could get a rollaway. I agreed to it, but when the rollaway arrived I was told there would be no charge, and sorry for the confusion. The rest of the 2 day stay went fine, but the initial experience was not positive. I would stay again.
"On the Point"
04/29/14 Cindy H Plainfield, Illinois
We stayed here two nights for business. Check-in was efficient and quick. I was concerned as our room was near the elevator. The room was very quiet and extremely clean. The breakfast area was busy but the food was constantly replenished. There was a nice variety from which to choose. Would definitely stay here again.
"Please put some money into this place."
04/14/14 Beastpopo Minneapolis
I stayed at this for a 2 night stay due to a function my daughter was in. We have stayed here in years past and I figured it was time to review it. The school district picked up 1/2 of one nights stay so we are pretty much locked into this hotel. Let me preface this by saying I am completely laid back and not nitpicky at all. However, of the 3 years we have been coming here there has never been a time when the elevator has not broken down. I informed one of the housekeeping staff of this and her response was "Again?". Clearly they need to address this issue. When it was working I am quite certain that there was a team of hamsters powering it, as slow as it was. The pool area was another thing. The pool is about the size of a large postage stamp. They have the heat set on 85 degrees in there. Throw 20 kids in the mix whipping around the water and it is like visiting the rain forest. 5 kids in our group suffered chlorine burns. The chlorine was so strong it burned your lungs and eyes. The hot tub did not have enough water in it to run the jets. The water line was below the filter housing the entire 3 days we were there. The room was nice. Carpets needed cleaning, our door would not latch unless you pulled it shut. This was a problem when the kids would leave the room and all our belongings were unsecured. The refrigerator in our room was not working. I informed staff but nothing was done about it the entire stay. The beds were comfortable and clean which was nice. Staff was exceptionally friendly and nice which kept me from rating this a "1". This place is not a dump but clearly there has been not much done in the form of upgrades. For what it is they need to lower their rates a bit. Until then I would avoid this hotel.
"Nice hotel but very noisy"
03/15/14 rickolig Wisconsin
Nice hotel, clean with a comfortable bed. Pleasant staff. Hallways were very noisy, walls are very thin and not well insulated from sound. Apparently my room was right above the lobby because all night all I heard was people coming in and out, loud conversations and partying! Other than not getting any sleep, the room was nice.
02/21/14 James F La Grange, Illinois
Our room was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. A small flat screen TV was located in the bathroom with it's own remote so one wouldn't miss any of a program that they were watching on a larger screen in the guest room. Room was quiet. Full hot breakfast with Scrambled eggs, Belgian waffle, ham, and oatmeal. A variety of continental breakfast items as well including filled donuts, toast and jam, muffins, and bagels with cream cheese. Orange juice, apple juice, milk, tea, and coffee were available for drinking. Price was appropriate for value received. Have stayed at other hotels owned by this group with similar experiences. I would stay here again and recommend to my family and friends.
