I started the week off with my adult daughter. We spent 3 days at the resort. Relaxing and having some girl time, which we do every year. We also like to stay close to home just in case she is needed back home with her hubby and three boys. So this resort was great and the traffic the day we went was nothing!!! The rest of the week I spend with it with my husband. The room was serviced everyday with new towels, even though we hung them up rather than putting on the floor. The only room available for us at the time of booking was the efficiency, handicapped room. It was ok except trying to keep the water in the shower was a hassle and for that reason will request non-handicapped in the future. The Inn Season staff that we encounter, either maintenance, staff floating around the outside of the building or the reception area staff were all professional, helpful in our requests and were always to ready to assist in anyway possible. Its a great location if you are going to Martha's Vineyard, as the Island Queen docks across the street. You can go for a day & come back on the late boat & your room awaits you. I understand in speaking with one of the staff associates that Management is hoping to have a new pool put in by 2015. That should attract more people. Shopping and restaurants' are very close by.
Our first visit to the Harborwalk Resort. We arrived Friday lunchtime to be greeted by friendly reception staff and the new General Manager Fraser. Check in was quick and efficient and we were given a room on the ground floor overlooking the harbor which was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The grounds are very neat and tidy and we spent a relaxing time sitting watching the world go by. Fraser was very attentive and friendly and gave us great recommendations for eating out locally, he also helped with our trip to Martha's Vineyard, although he hasn't been at the resort long he seemed very knowledgable on what to do in the area. Housekeeping we're very efficient checking each day whether we needed anything. Overall a great relaxing weekend and would highly recommend the Harborwalk Resort.

We had a great time at the Harborwalk. It is very convenient to all attractions on the Cape. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen area is small but functional. The staff is very accommodating. Helped with any issues we had in a timely manner. Highly recommend.
"EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE"

I have to say that I had the best experience ever at the Harborwalk Resort! I had been traveling on what should have been my vacation, but it got interrupted by family illness. When I arrived at the Harborwalk I was so looking forward to a nice hot bath to relax and unwind. When I got to the designated room, I realized it was handicap accessible and did not have a tub. I went back to the front desk to see if there was any chance another room might be available. Unfortunately they did not have a comparable room with a tub available, so they upgraded me to a larger unit at no extra cost. The manager and staff there were outstanding! They definitely get 100% feed back from me:-) Thank you Fraser Kirkpatrick, General Manger....you are the BEST!
"Rough start, Great finish"

First the rough start. Our unit wasn't built yet and we had not been informed of it so when we went to check in the front desk said we had no reservations and our unit didn't exist. Didn't exist? I just paid $$$ for it. Well they finally found us under a different room # but when we went to the unit it was a studio and not the 1 bedroom we had purchased. They moved us to adjoining units and it was. Then there was the maid service, or lack of it. The first day things were ok. the second and third days the maid came to empty the wastebaskets and change towels, but she did not make the beds or vacuum. Grented it was h holiday weekend but still, two consecutive days? Now the good part, Nice room, friendly staff bent over backward for us after the rough start. I would especially like to commend the maintenance person Sean for going above and beyond the call of duty for us by returning an important document to us which we had accidentally dropped out of doors the night before, It rained that night so the paperwork was wet and could easily have been mistaken for garbage and thrown away. We are grateful to him.
"great location new management"
I stayed at this property through our Time share membership. It was a great location right across from the Island queen ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The room was great, clean and modern. View of the harbor was fantastic. Multiple restaurants were within walking distance. Spoke with the manager Fraser. Said he is new to the property. He was very excited about alot of the changes going on to the property. Will definitely stay again.
"Clean, comfortable, nothing fancy"

We found this motel/vacation "resort" through our time share membership. It definitely is not a resort but rather a motel. We visited in late September, during the shoulder season so it was very quiet. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was fairly large, very comfortable, queen size bed, and a full kitchen. The evening staff was not very friendly but the day staff was very helpful. It is across the street from the harbor which was a nice place for our daily walks. There is a ferry there to Martha's vineyard. Location was nice for getting out to explore Cape Cod, our first trip there. We made day trips to different towns on Cape Cod; Newport, RI; JFK Library outside of Boston; and Plimouth Plantation. On the way to Plimouth Plantation, we discovered a cranberry bog being harvested in Carver, MA which was very interesting to watch as we had not seen that before. Falmouth is nice community with a quaint main street and eateries. Their local On the Water StriperFest Festival and Dream Cruise by the Sea was celebrated while we were there which was a fun local activity to enjoy. Don't expect much more at this "resort" then a nice clean room and good location for exploring the area.
"Nothing bad nothing good. Just adequate."

Upon arrival the woman in reception was disinterested in serving customers and dealt with in as few words and as little interest as possible, barely acknowledging our presence. Not really anything bad or good, it was a basic clean room and served its purpose as somewhere to sleep and shower. Would stay again if I needed to as it was quiet and I couldnt be bothered to find anywhere else.
"Good base for trips to Martha's Vineyard"

The room was big and it was clean. It was fairly quiet despite it's location at the side of the road and it was perfect location to get the Island Queen to Martha's Vineyard. The staff were okay, although seemed slightly bored to deal with us on check in.
"Great Base Of Operations"

My wife and I received a free 1 night stay here so we weren't expecting much. As it turned out, we were very pleased with the place. Granted, calling it a "resort" may be a bit of a stretch since it has no pool or other such amenities but if you want a place with a nice, clean room to use as a base of operations as you go about the cape and Martha's Vineyard, this is the place. Here is my tip: If you are going to Martha's Vineyard arrive early and they will let you park in the resort lot while you get on the Island Queen to go over to MV. Not only will you save money on parking but the Island Queen is the cheapest ferry we found (only $20.00/person round trip). BTW, you can walk to the dock from the resort, they are even closer than the Island Queen's parking lot.
