"dirty room"
was not good ,one bed had not been changed ( had hair on the sheets. a package of condoms was in the dresser along with some cookies, room was not very clean.

I was attending a conference in Lawrence, and the hotel was very close to the campus. The hotel is family owned, and they were quite helpful. Sadly, it is an older facility and not without problems. The shower was more of a trickle, and the neighbors were noisy ( and a bit drunk) at 4 a.m. That's not the hotel's fault. Yuck! This hotel is absolutely filthy. I will not be staying here again. I have 3 small children and they couldn't walk on the floor barefoot for 2 minutes without getting BLACK feet!!! Overall, the place creeped me out!

Hotel is old and run down walking the stairways stinks Iike a toilet. All the rooms smell old and musty. It's as if all the rooms use to be smoking rooms. It wouldn't surprise me if they have bed bugs. I hated this place my husband and I couldn't even sleep there. The manger was awful. Never again!!!!! Don't use hotels.com
"Not ready for prime time"
Each and every aspect of this hotel suffers from deferred maintenance. the housekeeping staff knocked on my door at 845, i sker them to come back later. when i returned to my room at 4pm, the room still had not been cleaned. Ok, I can only complain about a couple of things. One, I wish the shower flowed a little bit more water through the shower head. Second was that my room's AC seemed to keep the room a little bit on the damp side of comfort, but this was not a serious thing. The room itself was clean, the bathroom could use some better detail cleaning. Dirt in corners and shower curtain had mold spots at bottom, those could stand to be changed out. Service was good. If needed I would stay there again.
Linens were clean and fresh. There was nothing particularly nice about the hotel but we were there for the price. Never saw staff even at "breakfast" except when we checked in.

Can't complain about the price. But can definitely complain about the lack of cleanliness at this hotel. Not good. A much better idea would have been to stay at the Baymont Inn next door.
"worth it for the money"
There were a few issues with maintenance but they were cooperative in getting them fixed on the first day. For the price it was definately well worth it.
Close to I-70, air conditioning working well in late July, pool was very refreshing. My only 'not good' was that the TV could not be set to 'aux' so my grandkids could watch movies from the dvd.

We have small children and they were really looking forward to the swimming pool. We were highly disappointed that it was "out of service." The toilet flushed continuously and the faucet was shaky on the sink. This motel isn't in good shape. There was stains on the floor and you could see gaps of light when the door was closed. The pool was digusting. This motel advertises an outdooor pool, but the water was green. When we asked the front desk we were only told the pool wasn't working.

When I don't want to spend very much money, I stay at the Days Inn in Lawrence. Usually it's alright, but this time we had some trouble. Our first room reeked of paint fumes and the painters had left some equipment in the bathroom. We easily changed rooms. We were disappointed with our stay at Days Inn in Lawrence Kansas and switched to another hotel for the following night's stay. It is actually more of a run down older motel than I expected. "Noisy & Needs work."
Minor improvements to the room were definately needed. Carpet coming up a little, tissue dispenser broken, bathroom door splintering and needed to be repainted, and the tv power button was broke (had to use control). Well we came back to room one day, and there was a gentleman in our room. He was walking towards door when we walked in. It was odd because there was no cleaning cart and he had nothing in his hands. He pretended to check air conditioning controls, which was silly because it was not the weather to even use either heat or cold. Empty bottle with cap on and still cold in trashcan outside of room.It was brought to attention of manager who said his people would never do that. Well they did and I know it was just a beer, but it was the principal of the whole situation. So if you go to this motel, evidently they go thru your things when you are not there. When we book rooms there has to be a trust somewhere, us as the guests are in a vulnerable situation leaving our items in the rooms anyway so you as a motel owner have the obligation to us to hire trustworthy people that will not rummage thru guest's rooms when they are not there. "Satisfied with the price"
I was satisfied with the quality for the cheap price. It was located not too far from the downtown area. It served the purpose of aplace to stay while we attended a concert down there. At first glance the room semed adequate. Then we noticed someones hair on our sheets, meaning the sheets were not changed that day! Called front desk to have them changed, had to call a second time, and they took over an hour to come and change them. When we pulled up to the hotel, there were two cop cars out front. When we entered the office, the Front Desk staff was talking to a cop. The female desk agent repeatedly told the officer that she did not want those people here anywhere. We waited several minutes to be helped even though there were two desk agent present. only draw back would be that it seemed they moved the "non-smoking" sign to that room for my stay. it wasn't even in a section of "non-smoking rooms", all the rooms around me DIDN'T say they were non-smoking rooms. the room was very smokey smelling as well. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient on check-in and check-out. the sheets and towels were very clean, the mattress was clean and comfortable. and yes, I checked after I saw the condition of some of the rest of the room. there was a general air of uncleanliness and neglect about the walls, light switches, countertop, and fixtures. the light […] switches in the bathroom were grimy. i asked for a non-smoking room but the room smelled of stale cigarettes altho not horribly. the flip lock on the door was broken. i checked in at 5:30 pm and then went to my meeting. didn't get back until after 11:00 pm. at that time, i noticed that my bathtub had standing water in it plus some particles of debris. this was NOT there when i checked in. what happened is unknown. "Money Well Spent"
I booked this room because I was attending a concert in Lawrence, Ks. Even though the check in time wasn't until 3 I got into town early and decided to see if I could check in. They guy was extremly nice and allowed me to check in around 12:45. I didn't spend much time there as I was out visiting the town. However, our beds were comfortable, the pool […] looked a little small and it was outdoors, the breakfast area was extremly small (about4-8 tables) so we didn't even try to eat the continential breakfst...instead we went to Waffle House. "Needs Improvement"
The room at first glance was okay but there were plastic bottles and trash under the beds and a hole in the shower wall around where the shower head comes out which allowed water to spray out of the shower. Only one very small trash container for the entire room. I enjoyed the pool; it was clean and warm.
