The hotel is in need of a facelift. It was always THE place to stay when visiting Yuba City but, over the past few years, it has deteriorated. The area is quiet. The bed was comfortable. There was a TV. The room was relatively clean however, the carpet was badly stained. They have upgraded the heater so that the thermostat is on the wall and not on […] the unit itself. There is a small fridge and microwave - at least in the rooms with king beds. I do not know about the other rooms. The lounge is gone and has been replaced with conference room. The restaurant is no longer open. They do however, still provide a server yourself breakfast for their guest - waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit, bread (with a toaster), etc. I will continue to stay there for now. It was good. I had a hard time turning the heater on the first night as the instructions were not in my mothers' tongue. We had to call for towels on the second day because they had not been changed. Apart from that it was comfortable and quiet.

it was a nice simple room, the button for the heater was stuck and I could not get the heater working the first night, so they offered me another room as they could not send anybody to check it, but I refused because I was next to my friends' room. Other than that it was fine

If the hotel did a few more improvments it could be very nice. The white doors and handrails we not very upscale. A change of color would give it less of a hotel feel. Our rood was a little musty, ok its a hotel not a big deal. The furniture was nice and bed comfortable. If more detail in the finish work were taken the hotel would have a higher rating. […] More wood trim and base board, more care taken in the instalation of the finish trim work, tile showers, more upscale bathroom lighting. I feel these improvments would really make a differance. The hotel is sooooo close to being really nice, I think it would be money well spent by the owner. the room was clean....the remote worked... pool and hot tub were closed for the winter...and the restaurant at the hotel were no longer in service but for Yuba city I think it was the best choice and I would stay there again vs a super eight for example

Hotel has been there for a number of years, but they have upgraded the inside with new fixtures and vanity counters. There were two sinks and a vanity area. It was clean, roomy and quiet. Hotel amenities were sparse as they provided two tiny soaps for use with two sinks and bathtub. Lotion and conditioning shampoo was provided with shower cap. The rooms are older but in good order and clean, the breakfast included waffles. The staff is friendly. The bed and pillows comfortable. Seattle's Best coffee in the room was nice, but the soap & shampoo is really cheap. It is walking distance to shopping and restaurants. It's a great value we would not hesitate to return.

My door lock had some problems and I couldnt get into my room with the card key. The housekeeping and maintenance people where very helpful. The let me into my room after verifying It was my room. Because I was at the other end of the Hotel, they went to the front desk and had two new keys made for me and returned them. Maintenance was called and quickly […] showed up and fixed the door lock. I juice vegetables and bring my juicer everywhere I travel. I was concerned that the sinks where not deep enough in refernece to the spickett to rinse the parts of the juicer.They where big enough for my small plastic strainer to sit in so I did not run left over pulp that was rinsed off parts all down the drain. Room was neat, clean, and comfortable. Parking can be a problem during periods of high occupancy. Complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel was undergoing some renovation so there were a few minor problems. The staff was very helpful and cordial.

good bargain if you are in the area. This was a clean, nice motel in Yuba City. Not much to do in the area, and a bit out of the way if you are looking for something off the highway (like we were) but overall a good value.

The hotel is old in a questionable neighborhood. It's a basic needs hotel but I did have an issue with how noisy the heating/air conditioner unit was and the fan in the bathroom.

A great value. Room was a good size, clean, enough furniture and flat screen TV. The hotel honored our request for ADA access to the room. The biggest bright spot was the full hot breakfast with the most attentive and pleasant staff. You just don't expect that the their price point.

The A/C heating system was very noisy. I had to use a makeshift shim out of newspaper, to stick in the casing, to keep it from rattling. I had to use my cellphone to receive incoming calls, as my room phone would not ring when people were calling me. I notified the front desk, but apparently they couldn't fix the problem. The brochures in the room indicated […] there were vending machines available, but I was told by the front desk that the hotel didn't have any. (The brochures were dated March of 2011, over a year and a half ago). When booking the room online, I was led to believe there was a restaurant/cocktail lounge, which was not true when I checked in and was an inconvenience for me. This was just what we needed. It was very economical and offered all the necessities plus a nice warm breakfast in the morning. The staff was friendly. This wasn't a high end resort but well worth the price. We would definitely stay there again.
