Arrived 4/9/13....coachella is going on...all of the concert workers are roomed there. I arrive with my pregnant wife and kid and they bump me up to a suite. Awesome. I was so happy. I was just passing through and they made me feel like a rock star

Hubby thought we'd pulled into a truck stop. But the place was pretty nice. We didn't use the pool, but it looked OK. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. Beds were comfortable, but I wish that they'd leave more substantial mugs in the room, don't like putting plastic or styrofoam in the mwave.

One of the main reasons I choose this hotel since it seemed to be the only when in the area that the room doors are accessed through a secured hallway vs directly from the parking lot. The staff was friendly both at check in/out. The lobby was bright and clean. My room was large and clean. The bathroom was clean. The pool looked lovely, we were disappointed […] that we didn't have time for a swim. The neighborhood is run down but didn't see any thing that concerned us. It is located close to the casinos, freeway and resturants. The hotel is older and showing her age a bit but the friendly staff and clean rooms make up for it. This hotel had a very friendly staff, 24 hour pool and spa, DVDs to borrow, clean rooms and is within a couple miles of an upscale area ( for shopping and restaurants) Its those 2 miles between the upscale and the hotel that is unfortunate. It looks like a trailer park and low income housing surrounding the hotel. Also, it is just off the freeway, so […] a little...like that. I've never had a problem with Best Western. We were going to a party in Palm Desert, but everything there was sold out. I found this hotel, read the reviews (some good, some not so good) and thought we'd give it a shot, and so glad we did. First, they are pet-friendly, and upon check-in we were even offered a doggie package consisting of a bowl for […] food and water, a water bottle, treats, and kibble. Our room was very tidy and clean, and the bed was really comfy with nice bedding. In addition to a coffee maker and coffee, the room came with a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast is served every morning from 5am-9am, and is a FULL and complete continental style breakfast (cereals, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, etc., etc., etc.). This hotel also offers free Wifi, as well as DVD movies. The only drawback is that the walls and floors are a little too thin. There must have been some sort of kid tournament the weekend we stayed here, because you could hear kids running through the halls and jumping up and down in the room above you. But, all-in-all, we were pleased ... and so was our little Ms. Charlie. We'll definitely be back when we're in Palm Desert again. Read more

The breakfast was wonderful as was the service. I enjoyed this hotel for the money. The only thing I might mention is that I used the extra blanket that was put away with an extra pillow in a bag that indicated they had been cleaned and the blanket had a bunch of knotted hair on it. Nice place off the beaten track. A little dated but good room size and great staff. All good until we wanted to shower in the morning - NO HOT WATER!! The boiler broke down, maintenance said 20 minutes at first, then indicated it would have to be replaced and would take a week. The manager was very contrite, offered full credit. We checked into the hotel after a trying time on the freeway from Anaheim to find fresh dates and cool citrus water in the lobby. Yum!! The staff were delightful and helpful in recommending restaurants. We had booked a single king with a kitchen. The room was not in the greatest repair and faced the railroad tracks. The doors to hallways did not lock. Carpet is dirty and torn. A big cart was right in front of the entry door making it hard to bring in suitcases etc. I asked 2 houskeeping ladies if they coud be moved and they acted like they did not understand me. It appears there is a lot of defered maintenance.

It was just an overnight stay on our way home. We had a bit of trouble finding the place but after calling the hotel we found it. The breakfast in the morning was good and more than enough food. Over all its a good place to stop for the night. We didn't eat out after we arrived at the hotel so I can't comment on any of that.

The hotel is a good value for the money. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I was especially impressed with Jacob on this visit. He checked me into my room swiftly and then called the room to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I enjoyed having a very good selection […] of DVDs to borrow free of charge. The beds were pretty comfortable, too. However, the pillows seemed to be more decorative than functional. They were overstuffed and not made for resting your head upon them. There were a number of noisy aspects about my room during this stay that were annoying: The bathroom fan turns on with the bathroom llght. You cannot turn it off while you are using the bathroom for any reason. The doors do no seem to be properly sealed because any noisy guests in the hallway sounds like they are inside your room. The air conditioning unit works well. But when it was off it still made a "buzzing" sound akin to a lawn edger. Fortunately I had earplugs to drown out the sound. Not only was this hotel very clean and beautiful, the customer service was OUTSTANDING! We reserved a room for two nights but our car broke down on our way there, so we were unable to arrive in time to stay the first night. When we called they were very understanding of the situation and only charged us for one night!
