The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

Room was good - a great value for the price! Just a few minor complaints - TV remote didn't work; a little noisy late at night (Saturday night; we were next to the elevator). Beds: very comfortable. Pillows, not so much (overly firm). Bathroom small but clean, bath/shower good, water pressure and temperature fine. Nice pool, adequate gym. Convenient in/out parking, reduced price with hotel validation. Front desk staff: helpful and polite.

Hotel personnel were very pleasant and helpful. Room condition was fine, but not great. Hotel was full (due to music festival) so we had to find our own parking (vs. valet service). This was not a big issue as I was traveling with someone and we were able to locate parking close by, but I would have been concerned and irritated if I were traveling alone. "Didn't expect much, got even less"
I've been to Montreal many a time, and always seemed to enjoy the hotels where I stayed until now. Thankfully it was a short trip because if we had to stay more than one night I would have relocated. They offer valet and parking, but limited spots, so granted when we arrived at 12:30 AM there was none left. We had to park 2 blocks away. The room itself […] was average but the bathroom was extremely cramped. The toilet was situated awkwardly, the faucet leaked, and you could hear every foot step in the hotel, so if your a light sleeper, good luck. In the morning the complimentary breakfast meant waiting in a line up in a room with very little seating. Maybe I'm being too critical but this was by far the worst hotel experience I have had in Montreal, than again its also the least amount I've paid for a hotel room in Montreal.
