The only comment that I have is that the carpets on the third floor corridor looked tired thus letting the high caliber of service down on over positive experience that I received at the novotel.

Our stay was excellent. The hotel is ideally situated. The room and the service were excellent. The breakfast on the first morning was excellent particularly with the juice machine unfortunately this was not available on the second morning.

The hotel is less then a block away from the bus interchange and next door to the intercity bus station. So, if you don't know Canberra at all, it is the place to start.

This was the 2nd time staying in Novotel Canberra. We chose this hotel cos it is close to the Canberra Center and everything. We all enjoyed the swimming and gym facilities in our 2 days stay. The highlight was the buffet breakfast as the kids ate free. It seemed the only hotel has this special benefit. One thing you need to beware is when you do your booking, you need to know you pay in $US instead of $AU. We also recommend the Jamies' Italian Restaurant in the Canberra Center.

Great stay, great service and convenient location. Room was very clean and comfortable. Aina at reception was fantastic and treated us to a fruit platter with sweets for the kids, as a gift for our celebration stay. Aina was genuinely friendly and assisting. Such a great location with cafes and restaurants just putside the hotel. Great heated spa and warm pool, especially with rain outside. Lovely buffet breakfast too. Thanks Novotel staff.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to see the Inca exhibition. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was exceptional as well

Rooms were very good but the bathroom is in need of attention. Baths are too high with no railing to hang onto and very, very slippery. My wife fell trying to get out which is not very satisfactory and is very dangerous!!

Queens birthday long weekend was busy here. The breakfast was delicious but it took 50min to get a table at 9am each morning due to so many people. Room service very slow, 40min for 2 lattes to be brought up to the room.

Great hotel! Nice rooms and a 5 minute walk to reataurants. Loved the fact that they had a couple of ports (HDMI/USB) that allowed streaming to the television. Great gym and pool. Great buffet breakfast as well.

Our stay at the Novotel was overall alright. We had a triple bedroom with a king bed and a sofa bed. The quality of the mattress and pillows was not good. The pillows were too soft with no option of getting other types of pillows. The springs in the sofa bed were quite uncomfortable and jutted out. The hot water in the shower stopped working one night [I did not find out about it until I was in the shower and had to have a cold shower. When asked about it, they just apologised and said to wait until next day for a hot shower.] Breakfast was included in our stay and there was a good selection of food. [However, the menu did not change for the three days we stayed] The coffee machine was out of order for our entire stay, and we had to do with some coffee pods which tasted like dishwater. The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay, as it is very close to the Canberra Centre, and we enjoyed the car-parking option at the hotel. Data speed of Wifi was good and worked well.

We were expecting something more from a Novotel hotel but it was quite disappointing came down to the restaurant and wait more than 30 minutes in a queue to be seated two days in a row! Also when a fire alarm were activated and we managed to evacuated the building no one give us an explanation not even instructions!

Room service was prompt. The wooden structures... beside desk pantry area was chipped and old looking. The toilet and shower was nice and modern And clean. The bed was soft and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a great selection but the coffee was terrible. Over all id recommend this hotel as my previous stay had been devine. This time I felt I had been given an older room.

We have stayed here before & weren't disappointed. I made a bad booking mistake previously & Paul went out of his way to help, no fuss. The room was very very disappointing, as it stated a double room, so I assumed we would have had two rooms, as it had to sleep my husband, myself and our two children, but this was not the case. Two beds were crambed into the room which was very very small. I would hate to think how 4 adults would have fitted in this shoe box. The children even mention how small it was. One of the beds was practically hard on one of the walls, had to climb over to get the the bathroom. There was no room for hanging - only could a suit bag, the beds were horrible, the pillows even worse, hard lumpy and old. I had the worst two sleeps of my entire life in this hotel. It was a first visit to the nations Capital and having this room made it very disappointing. I did not want to stay in the room, but it was not refundable, nor could they move us when we discovered the patio door was not working. We even offered to pay an upgrade to move, but not possible. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean just not good for a family nor two couples wanting to share to cut costs.......would never ever stay at this motel ever again nor would I think I would stay at its chain due to the disappoint experience had and I would definitely not recommend it as a place to stay.

Excellent location for restaurants, pubs, tourist attractions and nightlife. Upgrade to an apartment and full breakfast was a pleasant surprise! Apartment was very clean,spacious and well appointed.Wished we had the time to stay longer. Location great for walking to dining venues. Easy to get around to major tourist attractions if you have your own car. BUT very surprised that if you do have your own car you are charged $20.00 per day to park at hotel on top of your room cost and no free wifi - even the local coffee shops have free wifi.

Reception and concierge staff do not answer calls from room as too busy at desk. Safe batteries can't be changed on weekends due to no maintenance staff working. Food in house is very poor. Showers have pressure problems and the pipes shudder when turned up even a little bit.

Nice & central to main central shopping area, walk to shops & restaurants. Parking was a little bit of a hassle, as out the front their was only Pick up & drop off point, which I didn't think I could park in at the time to check in, so parked around the block then came back to reception to check in. I was also meant to receive a bottle of wine on arrival however this was not forthcoming, although I don't drink so wasn't concerned. Room was plenty spacious enough. Staff in breakfast area were pleasant & friendly. I would stay here again due to location.

To start with, I had no idea that I would find such a good hotel at such a reasonable price. I went there with my wife and son and the hotel rate included buffet breakfast for all three of us. The food were really good and they have a cafe style coffee machine from which I could make cappuccino for myself and latte for my wife. All the staff were friendly and informative. The hotel is right at the centre of the city and just a couple of minutes walk from the shopping centre. Unfortunately due to time constraint, I did not get to explore more of the hotel or Canberra but next time I go there, I will not have to do my shopping for hotel anymore.

The hotel was reasonably clean and in good condition. The room was spacious and comfortable. Service was a bit mixed, with the reception desk being understaffed at some points during the day.

Excellent location; staffs were very helpful & friendly. But toilet & Shower bit small. Overall we satisfied.
