We spent 14 night at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. The beds are done and the towels changed every day. Good value for the money. Also we had a kitchen, so we cooked our own breakfast - the dishes were done immediately. The only bad thing was the noise from the garbage trucks starting at 7 a.m. The location is good as well, bus stop is just outside the door and all the shops are a short walk away. The beach is only 10 minutes away.

Tired hotel but clean, quiet and brilliantly located especially if with a car. Breakfast is basic to say the least but it works. Overall we were pleasantly surprised but don't expect anything fancy.

Having read the previous reviews on hotels.com, checked all the hotel details, and 'walked' round the location using google streetview, what we found when we arrived was that "it was as it said on the tin". The room was pleasant and in-keeping with the class of hotel, the service was 'good to excellent', and 'everything worked'. The breakfast arrangements are unusual in that rather than having a high cost catering service, there is a buffet-style facility where you collect as much food as you want but then either hunt round for a table to sit at by the pool, take the food back to your room or, as the hotel positions it, "eat it over the road on the beach". However, it does "work" as a solution provided you are not fussed about not having your breakfast served in a normal breakfast room / restaurant. The only drawback we found was that the range of foods available was adequate but probably not as extensive as other places. So do not expect to get a full English or full Continental! What we assume would have been the hotel restaurant is given over to Tiki's Bar and Grill. It is at the front of the hotel on the pool deck over-looking the beach. It does not do breakfast but does do lunch & dinner. Prices are average and quality of food is good. They have live music every evening and atmosphere, ambiance etc is also good. It is open to non-residents and generally does a good trade every evening. Good for both eating and / or just a drink. Currently you can only get wifi access by the pool. In-room Internet is via cable. However the wifi by the pool is free to use and there are sockets for power (and yes, you're right - having power sockets by the poolside would probably not be allowed in the EU!). The pool area is in shade until after 2pm and only in full sun late afternoon. So the beach is generally better for sunbathing. Loungers and sunshades can be hired at the beach. This was the perfect hotel choice for a very early departure from our two weeks visiting three of the islands. Clean, convenient, and comfortable. The airport shuttle was on time and the driver helpful with our masses of luggage. We could not have asked for more.
Location.
The Condé Nast Gold List award-winning Halekulani, which translates as "house befitting heaven," is positioned on five oceanfront acres on Honolulu, Hawaii's Waikiki Beach. Guests are greeted upon arrival and immediately escorted into select accommodations, where arrangements are finalized in privacy. Diamond Head Crater is less than two miles away and Pearl Harbor is 14 miles from the property. Oahu's bus system provides transportation around the island.
Hotel Features.
Neoclassical French cuisine is offered at La Mer, with specialties including Crispy Skin Fillet of Onaga and Tournedos of Roasted Venison. House Without a Key, the poolside indoor-outdoor restaurant, features sunset cocktails and Hawaiian music. Orchids' menu is enhanced with local ingredients and fresh seafood, while Afternoon Tea at the Veranda provides French pastries, afternoon cocktails, espresso and fine teas. "Beautiful Hotel"
One of the world's great hotels. Fabulous location, great service and rooms are immaculate. Would recommend for a few nights of luxury in Waikiki.
The hotel is in a great location, nicely renovated and the staff is extremely friendly. The hotel and pool area is peaceful as it doesn't cater to children. The one complaint I have is that the hotel is SMOKE FREE and there are signs indicating that, but right in front of the sign is a bench and 2 ashtrays for people to smoke. The openness of the hotel […] allows the smoke to drigt right in. The smoking location should be moved as to not make those of us who are nonsmokers have to walk through the smoke cloud. Read more

I chose this hotel based on the fact that the service is supposed to be great and it was!!! Everyone had a smile and was very accomodating! My favorite part was how when you go to the pool there are "pool boys" who meet you and set up towels for you on your chair- that made us feel very special! Orchids restaurant was fantastic and the service was superb! […] Drinks and food are pricey but, what do you expect for Hawaii. My only complaints were that there is no hot tub and no real "beach"- there is access to the beach but, not one directly in front of the hotel. In front of the hotel the water hits and there is a barrier between the pool and beach. My main complaint was the room- it was overall clean but, VERY dated. The bed was very average and the thing I really disliked was the bathroom "door" it was nothing more than a sliding closet door that you could hear everything through- The hotel just started construction 2 days before we got there and the new rooms should be complete by June of 2012- That being said I would DEF recommend this hotel and stay there again :) Read more

"Halekulani and Waikiki"
Halekulani was stated to be the most luxurious hotel in Waikiki. It was no Four Season's but comfortable and accommodating. I've seen all I need to see in Waikiki. If you've been to Miami you've been to Waikik but without beaches.

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights, a wonderful experience, would rate it as the best hotel I have stayed in Hawaii, we had a room on the 2nd level overlooking pool area, very convenient.

We had a Beach Front room - definitely worth the cost - private and overlooking the pool then straight out to the water - wake up in the morning and see the early board riders. The concierge services at this hotel are outstanding. We ate the first night in the Hotel, having a great meal and were entertained by a 3 piece group and a local dancer - all […] very tasteful and really enjoyed. "まあまあでした"
ホスピタリティが有名なので期待が大きすぎたかも。例えば毎晩私は余分の毛布を掛けましたが、これまでのよいホテルは一晩自分で追加すれば翌日からは同じセッティングにしてくれました。また、サニタリーバッグが使っていたにも関わらず、二日目からは補充されず仕方ないのでランドリーのビニールで残り二日代用しました。クリーンアップすれば必ず気付くはずなのにな～と残念でした。

"期待はずれでした"
ハワイのホテルはいろいろと知っているつもりでした。 初めてのハレクラニには、大変期待していました。 ところが、工事中による閉鎖が大変多くて、本当にがっかりしました。 確かに名門中の名門です。随所にその重厚な雰囲気はあります。 予約のツイン部屋が守られず、交渉をかさねてようやく２晩めからツインにかえてもらえました。ただ最初のダブルベッドの部屋は内装は新しく感じはよかったですが。２～７泊まではツインの古い部屋でした。たぶん安い部屋だと想像しました。 レストランも休業中が多くて、がっかりでしたし、ブティックなども工事中。その上、随所で工事中なのです。 その情報をホテル選択時によく調べなかったことを本当に後悔しました。 反省をこめて、後悔しています。

ワイキキの中心から少し離れていますが、団体客がいないせいか、落ち着いた良いホテルです。特にプールサイドが素晴らしい。思い出すだけでまた行きたくなります。

本当に素晴らしいホテルです。あまり大きすぎず、ゴミゴミしていないのも最大の魅力。日本人観光客も多く、日本人に優しいホテルと見受けられました。 一日に二回ハウスキーピングが入ってくださり、いつも気持ち良く快適にホテルライフを楽しめました。 個人的にハワイ挙式を行い、レセピションもハレクラニ内のオーキッズで行いましたが、立地もサービスも味も良いくて、本当にここを選んで大正解でした。 お金を溜めてまた泊まりたいです。
一部オーシャンビューの部屋に宿泊しました。テラスに出れば海が見えます。テラスでも快適に過ごせました。2歳の子供も快適に過ごしていました。

賑やかなイメージのワイキキですが、このホテルには不思議と落ち着いた雰囲気が漂っています。 サービスも行き届いていてゆったりと過ごせました。

短パンを履いたサンタがカヌーに乗ってビーチに到着します。部屋にはクッキーが入った赤い靴下がプレゼントとして届けられてます。夕方から支配人招待のパーティーがあり、楽しめました。クリスマスイブ以外に水曜日の夜にもパーティーがありました。いずれも軽食ですが、充分満足できました。市内のクリスマスイルミネーションを見に行くツアーもあり（勿論サービス）、クリスマスの宿泊はハレクラニをお勧めします。

家族旅行(3人)で10階のオーシャンビューの部屋に4泊しました． ハレクラニのホスピタリティ・居心地の良さは継続していました． ・チェックイン時に部屋までホテルマンが案内してくれ，途中で施設を説明くれる対応． ・ウェルカムチョコ・果物 ・待たせないバレットパーキング ・ライブジャズのあるバー ・ルームキーをかざした後にエレベータの階ボタンを押すセキュリティシステムの導入 しかしながら，下記の点の改善があれば，よりよいハレクラニを今後も継続できるかと思います． ・できればウォッシュレット ・ある夜10時頃，緊急避難アナウンスが流れて1階まで避難しました．中にはバスローブ，裸足のかたも見かけました．果たして誤報だったのですが，何もフォローがありませんでした．やはり説明はしてくれたほうが安心しま […] す． ・バスタブの排水蓋が破損していました． ・3枚もらったルームキーの2枚が2日目に無効になりました．直してもらったのですが1枚は無効で，結局もう一回依頼して治りました． 古いホテルですので設備のメンテナンスは大変だと思いますが，これらに気を配って貰えればワイキキホテルの最上位を保ち続けられるかと思います． Read more

"思い出に残る滞在"
10月頭に５連泊しました。 ビーチ直結、ホテル専用プールもあった為、部屋はオーシャンビューではなく中庭を選択しましたが、バルコニーからは少し海も見えてとても良かったです。スタンダードなツインでしたが、日本でいうデラックスレベルでしょうか？ソファーや机もあり、収納もたっぷり。お風呂場もバルコニーも広くとっても快適でした。 夕方になるとturn downサービスという事で部屋を薄暗い照明にしてテレビからはハワイアンな癒し系音楽を流しておいてくれます。毎日違ったおみやげも置いてくれるので夜部屋に帰るのが楽しみでした。 お隣のSホテルの部屋にもお邪魔しましたが、快適度は断然ハレクラニのほうが高かったです。メイドさんやポーターさんも毎日笑顔で迎えてくれたことが何よりのプラス点かと思います。

객실청소상태나 기본적인 직원의 service 가 잘 되어 있고 시설등이 잘 갖추어져 있습니다. 저는 오션뷰에 묷었는데 전망또한 좋았습니다. 다만 침대가 사전에 아이가 있다고 고지 했음에도 twin bed 2개를 붙여주어서 3명이 자기에는 조금 불편했습니다. 호텔스닷컴을 이용하는 팩키지에 조식포함하는 옵션이 있었으면 합니다. 투숙객이 일본인이 상당히 많아 소란스러운점도 있습니다.

十数年ぶりのホノルル。子供も成長したので大人のホテルを選ぶことにして、ハレクラニへ。 部屋を清潔に清掃しようという意思がよく伝わって、滞在中、一度も清潔面で不愉快なことがなかったのは特筆に値すると、妻と同意見。夕方のターンダウン時の心遣いもとても嬉しいものでした。 ごく小さいビーチもプールも、時間の過ごし方の中で納得するものでした。 ホテル全体の装備は古くなってきていて、どうやら９月から階ごとの改装をおこなうらしいので、この点はいくぶん解決していくでしょう。しかし、ぴかぴかなホテルにはなって欲しくない理由と同じ意味で、このホテルの中の空気と時間と雰囲気は、それを評価できる人にとって価値のあるものだと思います。価値を共有できる人の集う場所のままでいて欲しいと願います。 なお、我々が訪ねたレスト […] ランの食事はアメリカ食でしたが、それはものであるという納得が必要です。しかしホノルルでこれ以上を望むと、異なる滞在パターンになると思っています。 円高での割安感があるのですが、それでもまた是非滞在したいホテルです。 Read more

"comfort hotel located in front of the beach"
It is quite expensive hotel but the service is the best and the environment and equipments are the best too. Especially Hospitality service after chek-out is amazing. You can rest, take a tea or coffee, even take shower after check-out with waiting air-plane. I strongly recommed this hotel to others.

ダイアモンドヘッドオーシャンビューの部屋だったのですが、結構隣のシェラトンが視界を遮っていました ただダイヤモンドヘッドは非常に良く見える良い部屋でした 部屋の大きさは価格の割には狭い感じ、娘夫婦がヒルトンに宿泊していたのですが、大きさは同じ位とのこと 従業員は非常に親しみ易くフランクな感じでした フライトが18:15でしたのでレートチェックアウトを要求したら希望通り15時まで延長できました

★２０年近く前に初めて滞在したときに、 ハレクラニの魅力にはまり、以降、仕事で姉妹ホテルのparcに泊まった以外、定宿にしています。（parcもリニューアル以降はとてもいいホテル！コストパフォーマンスは最高です） ハレクラニの魅力は、なんといっても一見シンプルに見えるものの、そのもてなしの精神が優美であり、シックであること。館内はもちろん、清潔感あふれるベッドメイキングにインテリアは、部屋に戻りドアを開ける度に、空気まで凛としていて、 心からうれしくなります。 必要以上の過度なサービスを押し付けず、でも、必要とあらば、完璧にかなえてくれる各スタッフの能力の高さが魅力です。 ただ、ホテルから指示されているにも関わらず、部屋から裸（水着）で浮き輪をかけた親子が歩いているなど、ゲストに慣れていない人が見えるのは残念。たいていは日本人の家族連れですが。 でも、ハレクラニは、ツアー客が少ないのが特徴で、これでも相当少ないとは思います！ それに、宿泊客以外は、館内やプーにに入れないので（ガードマンがさりげなくチェックして止めています）いつも人影が少なく、本当に閑静です。 お隣のシェラトン、モアナ、ヒルトンなどは、それはもう比べ物にならないほど静かです。 あえて、苦情を言えば、 プール周りのチェアで、若いスタッフに飲み物を頼みたいと言ったら、担当がそのうち歩いてくるから、と言われ放置されて驚きました。以前は、呼びにいくなどしてくれました。結局、カフェスタッフは現れず、まわりの誰もがオーダーできませんでした。これは、日本のホテルではあり得ないこと。タオルボーイ（バイト？）の教育はマイナス評価です。 庭で開かれるハワイアンの演奏とフラは相変わらず上品で落ち着きます。元ミスハワイ、というフラの踊り手は、２０年前と変わらない美貌！！ 彼女に会いたくて、いつも見に行きます。 でも、このガーデンレストランthe […] house without keyは、予約ができないので友人を招けず、困りました。つねに忙しいからかな？ 行けば宿泊客優先で入れてくれるようですが、 雰囲気はカジュアルで、料理も値段ほど美味しくありません。同じお皿に量がやたらと多い、 大味の料理がのってきます。 （前より味が落ちた！） 店内も暗いので、メニューも料理の色も よく見えず。。。 なんだか、ドレスアップしていったのが もったいなかった気がします（が、欧米の家族連れなどきちんとしてたので、よかったですが）。 だったら、お隣の、オーキッドのほうが 数倍雰囲気も味もいいです！ 男性は長ズボン必須ですが（七分でもダメ）、 なければ貸してくれます。 あれこれ書きましたが、 自分にとっては、オアフ一、素晴らしいホテルという評価は変わりません。 早朝、小鳥のさえずりを聞きながら、中庭のソファで新聞を読む時間は至福のときです。 これぞ、ハワイの魅力。。。 ぜひとも、一度は体感すべき！ 金額に見合うだけの、特別で本物の ハワイの魅力に出会うことができます。 観光ツアーで忙しいと、 部屋に居られずにもったいない！！ ハレクラニが旅の目的、と思えるように 観光に飽きた人（歩き回りたくない人、年配の方は最高にくつろげます。自分や友人の両親たちは大喜びでで堪能していました）におすすめのホテルです。 Read more
