After twelve hours on the road, returning from winter in Mexico, we were glad to be out of the car and find a refuge. Our room was adequate, and we had a good breakfast. It was though, the most expensive of the four places we chose to stay at on our return to northern Michigan. Location, location, location?

FOR A ROADSIDE HOTEL IT IS OK. BATHROOM AND LINENS ARE CLEAN. BREAKFAST IS OK AND A GOOD EXTRA FOR THE PRICE. WI-FI SUCKS, RECEPTION IS LOUSY, EXCEPT IN THE LOBBY AREA OR OUTSIDE THE BUILDINGS. THE LOCATION IS FINE AND STAFF WAS OK.

Best for just 1 night stay, not ideal for extended. The room overall is clean, but the condition is very old (you kinda get what you pay for). The air is very stuffy in the room, though.

i enjoyed my stay with great accomendations. The shuttle service, free internet, and full breakfast was my favorite. The front desk 1st shift help is very nice. also, a restarunt and a pub/gameroom is on same site. very convenient!

After reading some of the reviews of other hotel guests, this hotel was a very pleasant surprise! The room was very comfortable; the bathroom was CLEAN - a must have for me! The breakfast was great - most places we've stayed only offer pastries and cereal. Here we had a traditional breakfast - in the lobby. Didn't have to eat at the restaurant. However […] we did have a meal at the restaurant, too, and it was very good Mexican food.The grounds were beautifully landscaped and well kept. The location is easy to get to, right off I35. I stayed @ the DI during a biz trip to Laredo. I was very pleased with the condition of my room and the hotel; it was clean and well cared for. I appreciated the fitness center, where I found all of the equipment in working order, which is a rarity in medium-level hotels like DI and that equipment is usually broken. My sisters and I stayed there for the weekend. Perfect location for us. I have to say that for the money, it is a great place to stay. I loved their security, being that I had just purchased a new truck and was worried about it being stolen or broken into in Laredo. Seeing all the security they had made us feel safe. The smell of cleanliness would hit you as soon as you would enter. We loved the microwave and fridge, helped us save a few bucks on eating out. We stayed in the 2nd, I was called from the front desk saying that the people from the 1st floor had complain that there was alot of jumping from my room. I understand that. But there was a lot of noise coming from my back window, it seem like the hotel rents or lends a room for events, but this was like a church thing, they had the windows open, they […] were singing, screaming and playing with some instruments. I went to the pool on saturday, the day of the singing, and some people were complaining about it. Take consideration of the rest of the guests. We stayed 3 days, the 3 mornings that we went for breakfast at 8 a.m. We stayed like 30 to 40 min. for breakfast, there was always something missing, 1st morning, no eggs and sausage, the sausages got there when we were about to leave.2nd morning was the same and the 3rd one was the worst one, got there no sausages, no juice at all, no milk and it was 8 .a.m. The morning receptionist, needed to be more happy, she was just there looking around with no smile at all, like if she were thinking of her problems, the 3 days. . . I was a little concerned at first because of it's location. The room was no luxury but functional. The staff and the service was awesome. The staff was courteous and made sure we were taken care of. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The pool was clean and refreshing. All in all, it was way worth the amount paid.

It was rated 3.8 when I made the reservation ...so it was a big disappointment when we got there, It looked old and dirty. The furniture and the carpet was old and spotted, and they didn´t even had shampoo, body lotion you know all the stuff you always get to use the first day....

I stayed 5 days and all went fine. However last day when I went to shave there was not hot water. Tried shower and none there either. I called front desk and they send a lady from house keeping to see if I was too stupid to know how to turn on the hot water. Then when they confirmed it they just said....we called maintenance and they will be there later. […] Of course things happen but I had appointments to get to so...COLD shave....COLD shower. Motel right on the highway with interior room entrances. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Old fashioned tv's, could stand to upgrade. But fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, deep bathtub for soaking, everything is clean... great value, I'd stay there again.

The hotel was clean and staff friendly. My only complaint, and it is significant, is that the air conditioning unit was so noisy that I had to shut it off at 2:30 am. Not a lot of sleep that night. I was not offered a discount when I mentioned it to the front desk. We will be going to Laredo often but will not stay at this hotel again.
