The place was quiet, I was worried there would be a lot of traffic noise from El Camino, but there wasn't. The room was nice, flat screen tv on the wall, Jacuzzi style tub, but was very cramped.

The block on either side of the hotel had us skeptical but once you turn into the Pacific Inn, it was beautiful. They go to great lengths to make the garden areas lush and beautiful. Bad Things: 1) Can clearly listen steps when person walks above your room, rooms not very sound proof, this is disturbing. During our stay, people above us were laughing and dancing which broke my sleep. I was required to call reception at 3:30 am. He took care, but not immediately. While the bed was definitely too soft for me, it wasn't unreasonable and I slept well enough. We were in the front room, so traffic noise was an issue; next time I'll ask for a room at the back. This was awful, the heater didn't work at all. Made it the worst night of my life! The rooms were good. Good space, new tv, the kitchenette didn't work and there is nothing to cook with... But the spa tub was a nice upgrade. The bed was super firm and no comforter, but the heater worked! Convenient location. Decent breakfast too.

The owner takes pride in his property and it showes. The grounds were very well kept.and patio was lovely with its blooming flowers. The room was tiny and dark with chipping paint on the walls. The tv was old-school and had a fuzzy picture. There was a coffee-maker and mini-refrigerator, but there was so little floor space in the room that passing by it required you to hop on the bed. The bathroom was in worse shape than the room. Chipped paint and tile, unfinished look to the vanity. […] The fan was so loud that I didn't want to turn it on. Any time you opened the bathroom door there was a loud popping sound. The toilet had urine on the back when we arrived in our "clean" room. There was a large jacuzzi tub, but I was hesitant to use it, given the state of the toilet. I did eventually try it out and it was by far the nicest part of the room-- even if we were questioning its cleanliness. Free breakfast was terrible! A woman waited in the dining area to take my ticket (yes, I had to have a ticket to get breakfast), then directed me to a paper plate and informed me that I was only allowed 1 serving and would not be allowed to return for seconds. The "hot" food was all soggy and cold and the only milk they had (despite the bulk of the breakfast bar being cereal) was chocolate. Just terrible. To think that for just a little more money per night, I could have been at a name brand hotel! That's a mistake I won't make again. Read more

Non smoking room that reaked of a previous smoker. I had to buy Fabreze and spray it heavily. Bed was comfortable and one of our rooms had a hot shower. The other room we had took a very long time to get hot. The breakfast was terrible...though supposed to be a hot breakfast, it was barely heated up, the eggs were like that freeze dried stuff they used […] in M.A.S.H., the coffee frighteningly thick. Allocated a room near a building site, so very noisy early morning with cranes outside the window. The air conditioning was so noisy that we didn't use it, so were very uncomfortable all night; the fan in the bathroom also made an almighty noise. All in all a very nosiy room. The room was sparse but comfortable. Nice bathroom except for the very noisy exhaust fan. Plenty to eat for breakfast, but it's all pre-packaged food. We were towards the front where it was a little noisy from traffic. The desk staff were not so accommodating. OK value for the money.

The hotel is located right on El Camino Real. It is close to stores, Hwys and fast food restaurants. Hotel needs remodeling badly. Bed was comfortable, sheets white and crisp. The bed spread was not clean at all, the TV set outdated, jacuzzi old and stained. Overall hotel two stars max!

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and the staff was courteous and helpful. the room has a small kitchennette with a stove, microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. My room even had a jetted tub, though I didn't use it. All the amenities are nice, and although the hotel is old and somewhat dated it really has had some work. The floor were not clean, and I even got a sticker of some kind in my foot while walking across the carpet. The fridge wasn't clean either and the furniture was really dusty. The hotel promoted conservations, so I thought I'd skip housekeeping. As directed, I reported this to the staff before 11am. When I returned in the afternoon, the towels I had used and neatly put on the towel rack per the instructions were gone. Although they took them, they were'nt replaed so I was short for the rest of my trip. They didn't make the bed or anything, just took the towels. Weird, I thought. This place is a good budget hotel, but nothing special, as it looks from the outside, the pictures, and descriptions. I'm trying out a different place on my next trip. Read more

Outside looked new/clean, but inside looked old/dirty - too many stains everywhere (walls, flat sheet, blanket, fitted sheet, tub and ironing board). Carpet and curtain are too dark to comment. Unhealthy 6 types of hot breakfast (microwaved directly from plastic bag before serving)(served by bare hands without gloves sometimes - unhygenic)(what is the deal of only 1 serving 1 plate per 1 person?), yogurt would only be served to selected customers, only 3 tables indoor and a few more outdoor, 3 juices (guava, apple and orange), French vanilla, mocca, hot chocolate, caf and decaf, 4 cereals, 3 breads, bagel, waffle and packaged pastries, and tips box (never seen one at any hotels, even the 4 or 5 stars).
