not the best hotel, but it was clean. Room definitely needed updating, although it did have a nice flat screen TV and a large Jacuzzi tub. Breakfast and dinner was ok, not that great. Stayed at the hotel for a concert at HP Pavillion.

The traffic noise was probably the least of the worst from this hotel. The bed felt grimy. The room smelled horribly. I felt uncomfortable, especially having my daughter with me with the scent of marijuana smell as soon as I walked out of my room.One of my worst hotel experiences. One of my worst hotel experiences. After booking through hotels.com we arrive around 11pm and the hotel doesn't even have our information so we wait til near midnight to get everything straightened out(girl at front desk was very nice though). So after nearly an hour of waiting we get to our room and walk in and there are no blankets on the bed. So […] we think it is a mistake and maybe they just forgot so I go back down and tell her that we don't have a blanket she laughs and says that the new owners did away with blankets. The room smelled like it was a smoking room that had been sprayed multiple times with Fabreeze to disguise the old odor! Its not a five star hotel however it is the best bang for your buck in the area. I was very impressed with the amount it cost and what we received. The location is perfect right off the freeway and a couple lights away from Santana Row and Valley Fair.

This hotel is full of potentials. Unfortunately, that will require a good maintenance. I didn't see that so far. The room that I have stayed was good but, it was not in a good shape. First of all, the 'jetted bathtub', at least in our room, was a full size name brand Jacuzzi. I can't emphasize how awesome it was, but there was plenty of room. Given this was the primary reason we booked the room, I was thrilled. Other positives were that the bed and pillows were comfortable, and everyone we encountered was nice. -- Now the negatives […] -- there's no "view of the city", despite what is claimed. The entire hotel, including (especially) the appliances and such in our room, is very dated and well-worn. Not exactly /dirty/, per se, but that grimy dim look that comes with time. Overall a positive experience, not sure it was exactly worth what we paid for it, but next time I book a room in San Jose with a Jacuzzi as the primary attraction, I'll look up this hotel. Read more

I was in San Jose when my sister was in O'Connor Hospital. I needed a location close to the hospital (it's also right by the San Jose airport) and amenities were only a secondary concern. I checked out other reviews on Hotel .com and decided to make my reservation at Valley Park. I was pleasantly surprised...the room was mini suite size and included […] a kitchenette, complementary breakfast AND dinner (I wasn't there for dinner but breakfast included cook to order eggs and omletts). Parking was in the small private garage with easy access. Looks like an older hotel in an area that has become a high end shopping area. Great for its location to the hospital and economical which is just what I needed for this trip. I would stay here again if I needed a place close to O'Connor Hospital or somewhere else in San Jose close to the SJC airport! Read more

Uncomfortable feeling about this hotel.. Some kind of presence there. We seem to be the only guest staying in the hotel although it is the festive and holiday season. Also, the room looked dirty and tired..Defintely not recommended and don't be deceived by the nice pictures in the advertisement.

the room when rented stated a king bed was not a king size bed. the whirlpool bath was great wish I had used the night before. breakfast was good. There was no carafe in the room so could not make coffee. Would consider staying again if in the area.

The location, price, breakfast, parking and some other things were ok to good. The not good things are: 1. Spa in room. To me this does not make sense. Even tub is not appropriate for a hotel room. Just a shower will do and will be more convenient and clean and hygene. The spa drain was clogged and water did drain with delay. The first thing greeting me was the smell of disinfectant and cheap air fresheners. There were no blankets or a spread on the bed. The room outdated and very old and worn looking. It was dark and depressing. I would not stay here again.
