i travel to london 5x year for a week. i am a bit of a hotel snob on a small business budget, and so london is a challenge. this hotel was dirty, outdated, soiled rug, worn down bathroom, tv smaller than my wallet, spider in room, but it is a great location on a nice quiet street. if you are one who is clean and showers daily and likes a crisp bed-- avoid this place. if you are a grungy backpapper and could care less and need a cheap place with a bed in a great london neighborhood- then ok to book. no wireless in the room. needs new rugs, new paint, new fixtures.

Ideal location for visiting museums on foot, and good access to tube, buses etc. Hotel in quiet road - not too much traffic and street noise. Disappointed with room and en-suite. They were very small - definitely not suitable for the larger traveller! Hotel generally clean and staff welcoming.

Depending on your expectations this may be adequate for you. It's my favorite location in London because of easy access to the Tube and proximity to Museums. The room was minuscule, about the size of a walk in closset (about 7x7 ft) and the bathroom was also very tiny, definately not for someone over 200 lbs. It's great for a short stay if you're alone, I would not recommended it for an extended stay or if you're traveling with family.

This was one of the cheapest hotels (with bathroom) on hotels.com for the period I stayed in Kensington, London. The only reason I chose this was the relatively positive reviews. Based on the 3-4 star reviews, I expected something much better. The room was extremely tiny. So small that I couldn't open my suitcase all the way. There was a TV in the room but without cable, and the antenna reception was terrible. The bed was narrow and short, around 3' by 6.5' and quite uncomfortable. The bathroom was actually the best part of the room. It was newish looking, small but not tiny, with roomy shower. Regarding cleanliness, the room service did a decent job daily in the bathroom but in the room they just made the bed. They haven't vacuumed even once during my week long stay. Otherwise the front desk service was nice and helpful. One remark about the Internet service: it is horrific, extremely slow and expensive (5 pounds a day), definitely not worth the price. All in all, it is not the worst ever hotel I've ever been to, definitely better than a Super 8, but don't let the very positive reviews blind you. You just get what you pay for.

The room was fine as far as cleanliness, condition, etc, but I recommend not staying here during the hot parts of summer. There is no AC, and the room is extremely uncomfortable for that reason. There is a little fan, but I couldn't sleep, it was just too hot. I would stay here during the cooler times, it's probably a good value then.

Small room, clean and tidy, although the floor was a bit grubby. So-so shower, although the rest of the bathroom facilities were fine. TV ok, limited to basic channels. Not much noise so easy to get some sleep. Fine for one night. More than one night and you would want a more expensive room

We arrived late to the hotel and immediately there was confusion if there was a room for us at all. Finally they gave us the door card but there was somebody already in the room! At the end we got an empty room and we were happy for that. The room was really small, much smaller than most people would expect. The bathroom was of ok size, about third of a room size but with no toilet paper and only with warm water. The pinnacle of our 3 day stay was when a receptionist after learning that one of us is from Germany said: “Ah, Hitler nation. Do you like Hitler?” Yes, he did say that. We couldn’t believe what we heard. It was so out of place that we could only laugh…Overall, the location is great but the price way to high for what they give and how they behave. I do have to say that not all receptionists we met there were bad, but overall: never again.

Rooms were very clean and well maintained, staff was extremely polite and ready to assist with any little request. room was a little on the small size, but the beds were heaven!!!! Bathroom could be a bit bigger!!!! especially if your a larger person!!! But for a one night stay!!! you can't beat the price or the location!!! Could improve on the breakfast, offer some muffins or pasteries...but other than that...totally enjoyed our stay!!!

Located very close to tube station and therefore very convenient and neighbourhood is nice. Also very easy and inexpensive to get to Heathrow airport by subway if you are travelling light. Female receptionist was not friendly. We were able to retrieve our stored luggage by ourselves without anyone knowing nor checking which was not very comforting. Bathroom looked newly rennovated and very clean. Needs new carpeting.
