Apollo Hotel - Bratislava

Beautiful hotel, great staff and location. I highly recommend it.

Hotel was choosen mainly because of the distance to our company. After arrival we found a very nice hotel in walking distance to our office and the inner city. The rooms are clean and all needed is available. Service is good and friendly. I slept VERY well in the bed, which is for me the most important thing. I will book this hotel again next time.

The only thing why I can't say exellent is that I booked a room for 3 adult people and I got the conformation that is going to be a room big enough for 3 persons with 3 bads. Lovely hotel with facilities and helpful staff. Not in the city centre, though close and no problem if you have a car. I saw they ran free transfers into town and back all throughout the day that you could book. Lovely rooms.

The breakfast was very good. The receptionists were very helpful, polite and professional. The rooms were clean and the hotel decoration was great. The only problem was the location which takes 20 minutes to reach the city center.

Our main complaint was that this hotel was far further from the city centre than advised. Again we were advised by reception that it was a ten minute walk from the centre. The temperature was 30 C. It took us 30+ minutes to reach the centre. The staff were efficient, but only answered questions, rather than providing additional info. Be cautious when you order welcome drink, they dont ask you to sign the bill but wont allow you to check out without paying for the same.

Having travelled down from Prague where both city and hotel had been as brilliant as they were beautiful, I was slightly taken aback upon arriving at Bratislava train station. Stately Prague it was not! Upon arriving at the Apollo, my impressions didn't change much. But, first impressions can be very deceptive, and I was immediately welcomed by the very friendly, and helpful staff, which was to become the theme of my all too short stay in the cracking little city. Something unusual happened at check-in. The quite frankly stunningly beautiful young woman on the reception, had proceeded to phone through to my room no more than 20 minutes after I had reached it, to call me back down to reception so that she could upgrade me to a larger room. I was apologised to, but too be honest, I didn't really mind, and I hadn't noticed that I had a room smaller than I should have had. My room overlooked the square in front of the hotel, and seemed a great meeting place for the locals. The room itself was nicely appointed, with a good bathroom. It was perfectly adequate for what I needed on a short stay. The hotel is a 15 minute walk into town, so not exactly too bad, but the local area was on first impressions a little rough. I think this was actually wrong of me, as the area was perfectly fine, and I was soon walking around after dark without any ill feeling. So, to help cut this review short, The Apollo Hotel is much like Bratislava itself. From the outside, maybe a little unspectacular, but once inside the real star of the show is the people, who are helpful, hard working, and much like the weather when I was there, of a sunny disposition. A recepcao foi muito prestativa, muito eficiente. A localizacao do hotel e meio fora de mao, mas da pra ir a pe ao centro, pois e seguro. O quarto era bom e limpo, mas nada de mais. Tem estacionamento em frente (pago), mas seguro tambem.

Hankalien yhteyksien päässä kaupungissa, jossa taksit eivät ole kovin edullisia. Jos olet menossa jäähallille, on sijainti loistava. (kävelymatka)

As mentioned in other reviews, the breakfast is not included and they somehow fail to mention this until youre about to sit down after grabbing a plate of food. Even then they dont mention the price (which is ridiculously high at 13,5 euro per person). The breakfast was better than the average included continental breakfast but far worse than other […] paid breakfasts ive had at hotels (which had a lower pricetag as well). The rooms were really nice though, although the behaviour of the staff seemed a little unprofessional at times (standing in bunches and chatting all the time). As long as you stay away from the breakfast this is a good deal, but the extra costs really left a bitter taste in my mouth. Read more

buon hotel, confortevole, purtroppo lontano dal centro la mia camera aveva un letto aggiunto per un bambino, la dimensione della camera non lo permetteva, il letto risultava essere praticamente un lettibo bassissimo quasi da da campeggio per il resto tutto ok ottima hall, sala colazione eccezionale

Da vi skulle rejse efter 3 dage fik vi en regning på ca. 100 euro for 3 nætter a 2 voksne for morgenmad . og ved check- in fik vi ikke oplyst at mordenmad ikke var includeret i prisen. Havde de oplyst dette ville vi nok ikke have betalt 27 euro pr. dag. Men ellers et udmærket hotel

3 notti all'Apollo Hotel di Bratislava. Camera conforme alla descrizione,comoda e pulita. Personale gentile e disponibile. Unica pecca,se di pecca si può parlare,è un pò fuori dal centro storico ma con una camminata di una ventina di minuti lo si raggiunge tranquillamente. Huone oli remontoitu varmaan vastikään ja hyvinkin neljän tähden veroinen, odotuksemme ylittyi. Aamupala oli kattaukseltaan visuaalisesti tosi kaunis ja maultaankin hyvä. Näköala hotellin ikkunasta miellyttävä. Kielitaitoa henkilöstöllä riitti. Turvallisin mielin voimme jättää kamerat, kännykät yms. huoneeseen, vaikka tallelokerokin huoneesta löytyi. […] Sänky oli erittäin hyvä. hyvä sijainti kävelymatkan päässä lätkähallilta. rauhallinen ympäristö. Hotellissa palvelu pelaa. Hotellin "oma "taksikuski" on ystävällinen kaveri ja hinnat kohdillaan:) Vieressä ravintoloita: kreikkalainen, paikallinen ja napolipizzeria.

Vajaan parin kilometrin päässä vanhasta kaupungista, mutta lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä linja-autoasemalta. Kätevä, jos lennot Wienistä. Erittäin siisti hotelli kaikin puolin. Ison tien toisella puolella hyvä slovakialainen ravintola.

Excellent hôtel en terme de confort, propreté, services (pdj, internet, etc.). Position légèrement excentrée : à 20min à pieds de la vieille ville. Très bon rapport qualité/prix!

Hotelli oli ihan hyvä kaikin puolin. Aamupala ei kuulunut meidän varaukseen ja se olisi maksanut erikseen aika paljon. Hotelli on kävelymatkan päässä keskustasta mutta olisin mielelläni ollut vielä lähempänä. En nähnyt hotellissa muita ihmisiä ja henkilökunta ei koskaan muistanut että asun siellä ja aina tuli kysymään asunko hotellissa ja minun piti […] näyttää huonekorttia. Een prima hotel in een geweldig leuke stad! Al kan de buitenkant van het hotel zeker een opknapbeurt gebruiken, de kwaliteit van de kamers zijn echt goed en compleet. Het ontbijt is compleet en van goede kwaliteit. Gratis en veilig parkeren bij het hotel. Hotel ligt op een loopafstand van ongeveer 15 min. van het oude Centrum. Is écht goed te belopen. Rommet og hotellet holder meget god standard, det var stille og rolig og rommene var store, rene og fine. Problemet er at det er et stykke utenfor gamlebyen. For vår del, som bare var to dager i Bratislava, ble det litt tungvint. Kolektivtilbudet er forvirrende og tungvint, så det var bare ikke å gå innom hotellet og slappe av hvis vi ønsket det. I loved this hotel. The location might not have been the best, but the staff was friendly, we had free internet, free minibar and the room was very nice.

Hotellet var jätte trevligt alla som jobbade där var vänliga och tillmötesgående. Det som är synd att hotellet ligger en bit bort från stan man kan ta en buss som tar ca 5-10 minuter men vi valde att gå och då tar det ca 20 min. Matsalen var väldigt speciellt ;-)
