"Great hotel for family"
Point: Family oriented, good breakfast, good location, close to transportation, close restaurants and groceries stores. Excellent attention, parking in the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance from Metro"
Other than making beds, the cleaning crew didn't do much. They did not pick up the plates, garbage etc, neither did they clean the bathroom. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great value. Nice neighborhood with lots of good restaurants. Room clean and comfortable with a view of the Eiffel Tower. A pool on the roof would have been nice, but otherwise very satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The price per room is too high and the rooms are small for that rate. There was no gym as indicated on the internet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice little surprise for kids"
This is our second stay with a Novotel and it is again very comfortable. The room is spacious. Bathroom is separate from sink/shower room, which is great for family. The hotel is 2 blocks of walk from metro station, and there are restaurants and convenience shops along the way. Easy enough to get around. Upon arrival each kid got a very cool gender […] specific welcome gift pack. They are very happy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great hotel , clean comfortable close to the metroGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was EXCELLENT! Arrived in Paris hours before check in and they took our luggage with no problem. They gave us a map and showed us how to reach the major attractions since it was a little far from them. Super close to a metro station, and a couple of cute restaurants and bakeries near. All English speaking staff!Genuine Expedia guest review
"the hotel was goog, and not more."
The room was with no air. Alot of dust on the panels and on the minibar. the room felt an old one. I must say that the staf were nice and helpfool. Breakfast was small, with low product, that were based mostly on lipids.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was not in the best neighborhood. The staff invited us to breakfast but failed to mention that it was 16,50 euros for poorly prepared food that you couldn't eat. The staff were not very helpful with any information.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Desk Service"
We enjoyed our stay. Service at the front desk was great, however, not so great in the breakfast area. No one was rude just inattentive. Room was small but it was adequate and most importantly it was clean. We would definitely stay again and recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best experience in Paris"
Great locaztion, excellent staff, beautiful area, definitely will stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We arrived after an overnight train and they allowed us into our room way before checkout. Staff was friendly and helped us with what stops on the metro would place us where. The room was very clean and the fold out couch was comfortable. About a ten to fifteen minute walk from the metro and easy to find because its a straight shot. Maybe ten stops […] with one transfer to the eiffel tower. On the way to the metro there is a delicious patisserie! I would stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel over all"
the hotel is clean and the breakfast is great, i go to Paris once a year for business and for the last 14 years i have stayed in smaller hotels say around 20- 25 rooms, such hotels will not let you check in before 3 pm even if the room is ready and rooms all not always the same in size and amenities--- the rooms in Novotel are good size and all the […] same and we were able to check in before 3 pm. the staff are very nice and all spoke English the area is not the best but you can not beat the price for what you get there the metro is not far and half way there is an information office about Paris and the metro and you can get free maps and buy your daily pass there for around 6.60 euro and it will last you all day the airport is 40 to 50 minutes away take the metro then the RER 2 or 3 stops later (make sure you take the RER going to the airport i think it is B3 but i am not sure since i am back home already for 2 weeks ) cost was around 9.70 euro because the airport is in zone 5 and you are using the RER if you never been to Paris i encourage you to find out how the metro zones work which will save you lots of money especially if you plan to get in and out of metro to see Paris one more note about the free maps at the information office - they have street maps and metro map each separately but my favorite map is one that combine both it is great to use and see the station name to the matching site you want Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good enough location with good service"
There was a bad smell on the 9th floor for the first two days that eventually went away. I requested a south side room but ended up with a west side room. The noise was not a problem at all even though it was close to highway. The west side room on 9th floor has a slight view of the Eiffel tower, which was nice. The breakfast was not fancy but decent […] enough for the convenience. The breakfast was of course 10 times better than a typical US hotel. The room was well prepared for a child. Kids can get a welcoming toy which was a very nice gesture. They changed the bed sheet almost every three days without being requested. The toilet was separated from main bath room. I happened to like that feature. The hotel is very close to subway M4 and tram line T3a. Overall, the hotel room was clean, service was great and lobby was very nice and friendly staffs made me felt welcome. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quite far from Paris center"
The hotel location is far from tourist areas and restaurants, you either gave to take metro or taxi to places. Hotel receptionists are very nice and helpful. Room size is reasonable for Paris standard, the hotel lobby is just average for a 4 star hotel. Most local restaurants, cafes and shops are located in the Porte D'Orleans metro area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not too bad...last minute trip...didn't research"
It wasn't a bad experience. The hotel was kind of far away from the Eiffel Tower. It cost us €20 each way with a taxi. The hotel overall was nice, clean and the staff were friendly. The only complaint I had was there was no iron in the room or any wash clothes. Other then that it was alright. Hotel is located near metro, breakfast was good, location is in business area not tourist area. "Family trip to paris"
We are a family of four with 2 teen wage girls. The stay was adequate, but I'm not sure I would stay there again. If coming to the hotel by renal car there are several agencies in the area with a gas station nearby so that was great. They also have parking at the hotel. It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro - on line 4 Port d'orlean station. […] This line was handy for the sightseeing, so this was a plus. The staff at the hotel seemed bothered by requests. No ice maker available in the hotel so you have to go to the bar for ice. It was in the 90s when were there so by the time we got back to the hotel we really wanted a cold drink and getting ice from the unstaffed bar and the. The difficulty with them giving you a very small cup of ice for 4 people was unnecessary. The other issue was ice cold showers 2 of 4 days. One night it was 11:30 pm so I don't think there were too many other people showering g at the same time. The breakfast was fine. The ac worked well in the room. There is a refrigerator, but it is stocked as a mini bar. The room was a typical Novotel room and the wifi was fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"4 Star? Not so Fast"
We have stayed at Novotel Hotels before and have always loved the size of the rooms, the comfort of the beds and linen, the refrigerator, and the quality breakfast. This hotel may say 3.1 miles from city center, but it is in the commercial district with nothing worth seeing or visiting even close by. The price is too high for a hotel room set for 4 […] people that barely had enough room for the bed and the fold out couch in it. The bed was okay along with the linen, but the bathroom and toilet were in separate rooms. You are forced to use the toilet and then touch the door handle to exit and then wash your hands in another room. There is something unsanitary about that. There was also a smell in the room like mold/ wet paint smell. You cannot open your windows and the A/C turns off once you pull your room key out to exit the room. The hotels breakfast is very expensive if it is not included in your room booking. There are plenty of places in Paris that can more than satisfy your appetite and save you money at the same time. Overall this Novotel does not rate a 4 star, and is truly more like a 2 star. I recommend finding a place closer to the sights, pay more if you have to, your time traveling from this location to the sights is not worth the savings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel was perfect for our needs. It wasn't too far into Paris that I had to do a lot of driving in the city center and the metro was a few blocks away. "Far away from all the sights, but good hotel"
The hotel was excellent, modern and very nice. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious for Paris. Staff was very nice and helpful. Nice surprise was to discover that my children didn´t have to pay for breakfast! The location wasn´t that good, though. It seemed like a business neighborhood, so there wasn´t much to do around and the nearest metro […] station was the very end of the #4 line, which meant we had to ride a lot to get anywhere. What I really didn´t like was the TV options in the room. There was only 1 channel in English (BBC), which was OK, if they didn´t have an adult channel completely open for the kids to run into while they were browsing through the channels. Be very careful with that if you´re travelling with kids! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Overall very good, clean and nice hotel with very good breakfast. Recommend buying the Breakfast package. "Helpful info regarding Taxi and Family room"
don't expect a 4 star hotel as in the USA. This is Paris. The breakfast Buffet is wonderful. The location is great. The rooms are small, the beds are no more than OK. The service is OK. The Carpet in our room knew better days. The room is not designed, It is a novotel. The public areas are very nice though. There is a kids corner, with X-box, books, […] and some other toys. We arrived quite early and the hotel made every effort to get us a room right away. The provided gifts for our children upon check-in. "Paris Family Trip"
The hotel was just fine. A little inconvenient for site seeing but the staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations. Metro station is 3 blocks away and Paris metro is pretty easy to manage. Most restaurants are also about 3 blocks away but this is a good choice for reasonably priced Paris hotel without frills.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"CLOSE TO METRO"
Well to start off, I think that there is a HUGE gap between what us Americans consider a 5 Star Hotel and what others consider a 5 star hotel. The staff at this hotel are not friendly at all, they see us as intruders. We checked out at 12 noon and noticed around 8pm that we have left behind a bag full of all our electronic chargers, we contacted them […] from another NOVOTEL and they promised to look for them and speak to the maid. We returned to Novotel in Paris a few days later after being told that the bag would be saved for us till our return, they informed us that no one had found anything left behind in our room. I was so disappointed with the way they handled the entire matter. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Good size rooms, comfortable bed. We are a family of 4. We slept on the double bed and the kids slept on the sofa bed. It was a little bit far from the central paris so I took a star off. I would recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good value for family stay"
Overall I was happy. The only tough part was that we were traveling with a baby and young toddler. No fault to the hotel, but the Paris Metro system is dreadful if you have to use strollers. 95% have no elevator nor escalator. Since this hotel is at the end of the Metro line, it definitely made traveling to the various sights in the city more challenging […] and tiring when trying to negotiate the Metro system. That being said we were totally satisfied with the customer service and quality of the hotel. It is definitely a good 4 star hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Novotel, Porte d'Orleans, Paris, France"
This was a great hotel, which I had selected for business purpose for its location. However, for tourists, this may be more secluded...although you are not too far from the Eiffel tower, which I could spot from my room. A little distance (10 minutes away by metro) gets you right to the center of the action. The rooms are clean and large for France […] (even large size for US standards). I had an executive room, which was a bit larger than some of the executive rooms I had in the US. So, comparatively speaking, this was an interesting choice. However, if you drive, beware that parking is hard to spot. Drive by the hotel, take the first right on the corner of the hotel (it is a one way street anyway, so you can't go wrong), and directly on your right, there is the entrance to the underground parking. "Probably the worst hotel experience of my life"
This is probably the worst hotel experience of my life. Knowing that I'm on the road almost 40% of my time, that says a lot about the disappointment. The hotel personnel is unprofessional to say the least. The lady room knocked at my door every two minutes after I've asked her to come back in 45 minutes. On the day of my check out, she were at my door […] at 9:45 in the morning and two times in the following 30 minutes even though I've told her that I'll be leaving by noon. If you have luggages, you are on your own, no one is there to help you and you need to find and get the chart yourself both for check in and check out. The guy in charge of the minibar in the room wanted me to beg him to fill it with very expensive drinks. The bar/restaurant hours are ridiculous and the personnel there are just like the others: rude to their customers. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
