My stay did not go as well as I would have hoped. The room wasn't very clean and there was even food found under one of the beds. My stay was very comfortable the beds were soft and very relaxing. I was in town due to my moms death and the hotel was a plus. There was a Mayfest going on wihich made the atmosphere better, but it pushed the cost up. I actually requested a King bed and when I checked in they gave me two double beds. "Perfect addition to our awesome weekend"
Stayed here over the weekend for the hanson event. At first I was worried that we would be too far from all the action but we were right in the middle of everything. Mayfest was right next to the hotel and the blue dome arts festival was a few blocks away. Most of the food choices were just a couple of blocks from the hotel and the hotels restaurant […] was really good. I didn't realize that there was a charge for parking until we got there. This was a first time stay at any Hyatt for me. I was extremely impressed with the service here. The encounters with staff were pleasant, and professional yet they made me feel right at home. The room was not only beautiful, but clean. It was clear that the people cleaning the rooms took pride in the work they do, they made sure that the room was clean […] and comfortable. I had all the amenities I would need and more than I expected. Their attention to details here is something that makes all the difference the IPod docking station, refrigerators, ironing boards and irons, hair dryers, coffee station. These details make your stay feel more like your at home and less like your in a hotel. But I was most impressed with less advertised amenities. The Hyatt offers personal care items to their guests like razors, shaving cream, tooth brushes, and toothpaste and any other little thing you might have forgotten to pack Available at the front desk. They also have guide books in the room giving you locals tips of great places to visit. I especially loved the sleeve over the remote indicating the channels that were offered. It made it really easy to find the things that I wanted to watch. The crown jewel for me was the oversized cloud of a bed. "Disappointed due to one issue."
Stayed at the Hyatt so we could walk down to a 5k we were running and an 80s themed party later. The hotel was nice enough. My only issue, and I don't know if it is the hotel's fault or expedias, but we booked a king room and were given a double when we arrived. Needless to say it was a little snug for me and the wife on one of those little beds. I […] went back to the front desk and the guy was polite but told me we "requested" a king, but that they were 95% booked and didn't have one available. So my question is, what is the point of selecting the type room you want on expedia if the hotel can just give you whatever they want. I think hotels tend to treat online bookings differently since they are cheaper and I can understand that to some degree I guess. It was just a big disappointment for us. "Only one thing missing"
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were super comfortable. My only complaint was that this is the only hotel I have visited in the last five years that asked me to pay extra for wifi. We asked the concierge desk for directions and ended up on a total wild goose chase. The bathroom in the room was a little funky, hair in the shower, hair on the towels, etc... Also, bring your own toiletries, the […] soap provided is terrible! My bed was lumpy and I slept terribly! I had to have my computer chair replaced because mine was broken.
