This hotel was very clean....the only thing negative I have to say about the condition was there was a very unpleasant looking stain on the bottom of the tub and that almost kept us from us taking a bath instead of a shower. Was in tulsa for a wedding, wanted something cool downtown. Hotel check in was lenghty. Tried to check in around 1 which understandably was too early. Was told 3 pm, so we came back and waited 15 mins then checked in, was given two double beds instead of the king I reserved. Too much of a hastle/timewaste to go back and change rooms. But that happens, […] so okay. The hotel was nice but the people staying there were pretty wild/rowdy/drunk. Had a girl fall into me on the elevator heading up to the room. "Overbooked, and did not have a room for me."
Showed up at 6 pm in the evening. They first said my reservation was cancelled, but that was not true. Then the manager came out with a letter for me to take to another hotel to cover the cost of my prepaid room. Said it was a much nicer hotel. I had booked a room in downtown Tulsa for a convention, new hotel was 5 miles away in a part of town that […] I would not normally travel to at night. I drove up to the new hotel, and it was a big disappointment. Old hotel that had been refurbished. The room was OK, but I did not feel I had been given a room at a comparable hotel, or rebooked to a hotel in the same area, or in a safe part of town. Was disappointed by the room color, I think the lobby was remodeled but not the rooms. "A Comedy of Errors"
When I booked the hotel, i specifically requested that my Father's name be added to the room so he could check in the day before me without any issue.I also asked for a handicapped accessible room for him. When he arrived, they would not let him check in until I telephoned and spoke with the manager. When he got to his room, it was not handicapped accessible. […] We called the front desk to complain and were advised that he would be placed in another room immediately. 45 minutes later, he had to walk down to the front desk because a new room had not yet been provided. When the next room was provided, it was not handicapped accessible either. Another complaint to the manager and more time wasted. I must say, the hotel's manager took charge of the situation personally and worked hard to make sure our remaining stay was wonderful.
