While this hotel was very close to the theatre that we were attending; the hotel itself was a disappointment. When I travel, I do like a bit of luxury, definately not at this hotel. The restaurant for breakfast was way too expensive. The location shares space with an office building, and the area around the hotel is surrounded by a very dirty area showing small restaurants which look anything but appealing. No reason to go to this hotel other than it's close to the theatre. The rooms while clean were sparse. As for staff, we really didn't see any.......Not my favourite hotel, and wouldn't recommend it.

This hotel was beautiful. The room was large, bed was so comfortable. The best part... the subway right downstairs. My husband and I bought roundtrip (four tokens) to ride into Toronto and see the sites, so easy. Find somewhere to eat breakfast though, as it is not included. Parking in the garage was pretty easy to find and not too expensive.

Male at desk guided us to the underground lot..He waved us through seeing that the metal sign above us was sitting on the roof of the truck. He then told us to stop and back up. Needless to say it scratched the roof of our brand new truck. When asked if we could have the name of the manager, he refused. My husband had to ask him 3 times until he finally gave us the name of his manager. We finally spoke to manager who basically told us it was an insurance claim and it was up to us to get 3 quotes. He sent a bottle of wine to our room with a note saying he hoped it would help ease the "scratch" and thanks for being such "good sports". It was totally inappropriate verging on insulting. He obviously did not realize how upset we were. This vehicle had no more than 600km on it and now it was damaged. We just stayed one night instead of two (but paid for both). Ruined our anniversary weekend. Will never return. Would rather receive reimbursement for our stay as our time is precious and we are not going to run around and get 3 quotes for an insurance claim. Why should we be inconvenienced by something we did not do? Would appreciate some guidance. Thank you.

Lobby was beautiful, staff helpful during the day. Parking confusing, it was an underground garage shared with other facilities and it wasn't clear which elevator to take. Room tastefully decorated in a modern style. Would have liked a more spacious room, but it was clean and comfortable. Bathroom lacked a fan, so the bathroom was steamy after a shower. Didn't get a chance to check out pool or fitness area. Its located in a mall, so there were a few places to eat and even a grocery store near without going outdoors. Bar overpriced with limited hours.

It's within easy walking distance and aalso very close to an entrance the Toronto Subway system, wwhich allows easy access to downtown Toronto without the hastle of drining and parking the car. Also, there are many excellent restuarants within 10 minutes walking distance. It was an ideal selection to match our needs.

Although this hotel looks beautiful to the eye, it's murder on the body. The A/C in the room did not work, the Ice machine on our floor was out of order, and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The bed was hard as a rock, as were the pillows - and there were only 3 pillows in the room for a king size bed. The worst situation was that the elevator to the parking garage was out of order for our entire 3-day stay, requiring us to trudge up 3 flights of stairs in high heels, with all our stuff to get to the lobby. Although we paid $17/night for the parking, the hotel staff took no responsibility for the situation, saying it was the fault of the parking garage. Nor did they offer us an adjustment of any kind. Never again Novotel!!

A little too far north if your goal is to explore Toronto. It is close to a metro stop, but to get downtown you'll be on the subway a bit. The call it "european" styling. Maybe so, the rooms are small. Tough if you are on an extended vacation.

We had a lovely few days staying at this hotel. It is handy for the North York TTC subway stop, which exits into a plaza with an entrance to the hotel. There is also a convenient car drop-off out front. The hotel is just of Yonge Street, so easy to find. The WiFi in the hotel was free though initially difficult to access on a mobile device due to a complicated couple of log-in pages. Fine from a laptop though. There's also Internet in the TV system, but not free. The staff were friendly and polite and sorted out the broken TV remote promptly. There is also a convenient gift shop in-side the hotel, though it is only open in the evenings. Our room was comfortable with a massive bed, a good size desk, plenty of storage and a small safe. The bathroom is a good size and the show was hot and powerful. This end of Yonge Street is a different to Downtown. There's lots of small, mostly ethnic, restaraunts some of which are open after mid-night. There's a large Shoppers Drugmart a five minute walk in one direction and an (apparently) 24-hour Maci five minutes in the other.

The best feature for us was the location which is at North York Center. By taking an elevator we were able to catch the Metro without even having to go outside. The desk staff was also helpful and friendly in providing Mapquest maps for those times we were driving about the city. This is a great convenient hotel at a very fair price.

We stayed there for 7 nights and when I asked if we could put stuff in the mini-bar, the nice check-in person gave us a little refrigerator. This was incredibly helpful for water, fruit, etc. Room was on small side but clean. One could see that this was not a state-of-the-art hotel but for the price it was a terrific value. The subway was literally in the basement of the adjoining mall and that made travel really easy. We liked the neighborhood (many Asian restaurants of all kinds). So if you are willing to take subway to downtown this is a good value hotel.

I'll be honest, I was drawn to this hotel by the deal I got. If you've researched hotels in Toronto, you'll know by now that the central ones are pricey, and I don't need too much pampering. This was a gem of a hotel though. Situated directly over a subway station, getting around the city is absolutely no issue (about 20 minutes to the centre of Toronto), although no shuttle service to the airports is a minor downside. The room was very spacy and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The surrounding area felt extremely safe, so I would have no worries there, and there are quite a lot of places to eat within 5 minutes of the hotel. I also found two cinemas, two supermarkets, and a few shops in the surrounding area. It is not a posh hotel, but it does not pretend to be, and if you are going to spend most of the time out and about, this is the hotel for you!
