"Close to the Airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
It was a pleasant, clean and modern place to stay before we left Italy the next morning. The free shuttle service to the airport was a nice perk. The evening reception desk person was very friendly and also gave us great advise of a good place to eat in the area.

Fantastic service!
"Good value."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
All in all a great little B&B. Only small annoyances location on main street a bit loud, internet when it did work: it was very slow. Housekeeping only available before 12pm. So if you are not out of your room by then you won't have toilet paper, fresh towels etc. Good perks free snacks and and drinks.
"Two Nights in Rome At Hotel Verona"
We spent two nights in Rome following a 15 day cruise and we were very pleased with the hotel. The building is older (Duh...this is Rome) but has been recently remodeled including new furnishings. The elevator is small (three persons max) and there are a few steps to contend with to get to your room. The Hotel was created using two separate buildings. […] Our room was on the 4th floor and very comfortable. The included continental breakfast was better than expected. We were able to use the airport shuttle (not run by hotel) for 14 Euros per person. (30 min. to airport) We ate at two different restaurants on the street and were happy with the food and service. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and many other sites. Great air conditioning (new). The staff went out of their way to assist and answer questions. Will stay here again. We very much enjoyed this hotel. Location pretty good but we felt that it was a little too expensive for the value received. Perhaps this is true of most of Rome. Laura, on the front desk was very, very friendly and knowledgeable and the others were friendly and helpful enough. "Not Impressed"
The staff was not very nice or helpful. They advertise internet but it never works and if you ask them they are unwilling to get it fixed. They advertise English TV but only have one channel (BBC). The bed and room are not very comfortable, but that is acceptable if you do not plan to be there very much. Breakfast is the same thing every day and it […] is not very good. After day two or three you will want to go elsewhere to eat. I expected more and better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good base of operations"
The Hotel Verona served as a great base for sightseeing with my wife and two young kids. The hotel staff was both helpful and friendly, and the room was very clean. The only down sides were the big city noise at night (hard to escape in the big city) and the funky smell in the bathroom that I have come to expect in humid places. That said, though, I […] have already recommended the Hotel Verona to a friend who will be visiting in a few months. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient central location"
This hotel is located in downtown Rome near the Colloseum and we situated for touring without a car. The rooms are well kept and comfortable but a little small and not really suitable for families. The staff were polite and helpful. The only disadvantage is the need to drag your suitcase up a flight of stairs after getting out of the elevator on each […] floor. "Great hotel find"
We were very pleased with Hotel Verona. It is conveniently located - not far from the historic center and next to the main transportation hub. The room was very large for a european hotel. The bathroom was clean and modern. The room was a quad with a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa which was already made up. This was fine for our two children but […] might not be great for adults to sleep on. The elevator was tiny and lets you out on a landing so we had to hike our bags a bit. We had low expectaions but were very happy. I think we got a 4 star hotel for a 3 star price. At check in the staff gave us a map of the city which was very helpful - Im sure most hotels provide that but nice to ask for one. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

execelent. friendly staff. If I rember correctly his name was sam. typically a small room. pillows and bed were comfortable. I did book it in advance as it was so cheap $31.50 aussie each for 2 people. its only a cheap taxi ride away from heart of rome. we stayed her the night before a 2 week tour of Italy. tv is up quite high we did have quite a laugh. […] why spen top dollar for a 5 star when Hotel verona has every thing you need. the breakfast was Delish and the ladies in the kitchen were very accommodating. would definalty stay here again. The hotel was very good and convenient for bus, having said that it was easy to just walk you saw so much more and came upon interesting things you would miss on a bus. "Well located budget hotel."
Chosen the hotel for its location and was not disappointed. Close to Colosseum, Fora and Termini Station for all types of transport. Small basic rooms, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels, basic continental breakfast with time allocation. The room would have benefited from some cleaning. Basic hotel for a short stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Basic hotel - but great location"
The hotel staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. The room was rather basic and 'tired' looking - not much room to move about! Bed was really comfy though. We didn't discover the the air con until the morning we left and although the heating wasn't on - the room was very warm most of the time. The bathroom was cramped and the shower area was too small […] - so the curtain stuck to you and water went all over the floor. The balcony was great - but unfinished wall made it look really tatty. Breakfast was good and the lady who ran it was friendly and happy to supply more of items if required. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location"
The absence of blankets on the bed a little concerting with only a sheet and a thin bedspread to combat the absence of heat during the night and rising early in the morning to a chilly room and bathroom did not start the day well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ideally Located"
Hotel Verona was the perfect hotel for our requirements, and we had a great stay there. Travelling with 2 small children is never simple, but the quadruple room at Hotel Verona was spacious, and the staff made our stay that much simpler. The hotel is a quick walk away from the Colosseum, and conveniently located if one wishes to spend time in the central […] areas of Rome. Piazza Navona, Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps and the beautiful areas around the Trevi Fountain were all within short distance, although we opted to take cabs quite a lot so as to preserve the energy of the children for as long as possible. Hotel was in good location for exploring; not far from Termini Station. Room quite small and not particularly friendly for young children - hard tiled floor for example, but not bad and very clean. "Decent Hotel...could have been better"
The hotel is 5 mins. away from Roma Termini station and very close to one of the basillicas and hence location wise it is really a good place to be. The rooms are decent size and have air-conditions in it. The mini- bar was an empty fridge. The breakfast is ok but ham/salami and eggs are only provided if you ask the lady in the kitchen. Since it is […] also very close to Colosseum and a few other landmarks...10 mins walking distance....I found the hotel convenient. "Great location - terrible hotel"
This place hardly qualifies as a "hotel", despite the price and the stars. However, it's located within a walking distance from the Colosseum etc. Rooms are tiny (room for "quatro" sure doesn't mean 4 people - it was like the Marx brothers in the closet), old basic furniture, no air, uncomfortable bath. Poor service. Unfriendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A little gem of a hotel"
The hotel was very cosy in a nice and central part of Rome. Only a 10-25 minutes walk to the main sites (collosseum, trevi fountain, spanish steps, etc). The hotel is small and so are the rooms (we were traveling with our 7 month old son and teh baby bed didn't leave much space to move around in), but we weren't there for the rooms. The only issue we […] had about the room was the water pressure and temperature regulation in the shower. Not too much pressure and it was a lottery whether you got very hot water or cold water. The included breakfast was pretty good, but you have to get there early (before 9am). The staff was great and very helpful in every way, and we will recommend this little gem of a hotel to our friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

On the positive side, the Verona hotel is within walking distance to all the sights in Rome city center, the front desk staff is very friendly, breakfast is ok and the rooms are clean. Friendly reception staff, very helpful organised a people carrier to return us to the airport in comfort and cheaper than using the express train. "March 17th - 19th 2012 by an English Guy"
I and three others stayed at the hotel during our visit to Rome. The hotel is ideally situated with easy access to Metro and surrounding areas. A number of nice places to eat within a five minute walk. I was running the marathon on March 18th and found the staff hellpful. For a three star hotel, branding itself a budget hotel, I was not disappointed. […] The room had the normal things, double bed, double wardrobe, three sockets, TV, fridge, ok it was not massive but if I wanted to stay in a palace I would have chosen somewhere else. Breakfast was alright for me, cereal, juice, coffee and toast, eggs, meat and cheese if I required them. All staff very helpful. Hotel had WIFI. "Verona Roma - good hotel in great location"
The Verona Hotel has a perfect location, very close to Termini Station and in walking distance to many tourist attractions in Rome.
