"Great Stay and very satisfied"
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel-Verona. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! We were able to walk to the Colloseum and other sites and were within walking distance of the train station and the Metro (subway). We had free breakfast at the hotel which we thought was sufficient and tasty. We were in a triple room and our only complaint […] was that the third bed was a cot that was not very comfortable. However, the front desk provided us with a thick comforter which we placed on top of the matress and made it more comfortable to sleep on. There was a stair case that we had to carry ou luggage up. There is also a very small elevator, but it did not take us all the way up and we still had to carry our luggage up some stairs. We stayed there for three nights. We were apprehensive about booking on line, but really had not other choice. So we took about three weeks researching and reading many reviews before we selected the hotel. The reviews were very helpful, and that is why I am writing my review. It was my first time in Italy and I hope this review helps other. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The breakfast and the balcony were a nice surprise"
My husband and I did a mini getaway to Rome for four days. We found the reviews for this hotel to be good and so we gave it a chance. The hotel service was nice. Get to the breakfast early, it was pretty good, but goes very quickly. The balcony off of our room was a nice surprise. The view wasnt really anything to special, but it was wonderful to sit […] out there at the end of the day or in the morning. Less than a 10 minute walk to Termini Main Train Station and 15 minute walk to the Coliseum. Perfect location! We would stay here again...shower was small, but the water pressure and temp were great! Also the staff made us dinner reservations each night and we were happy with all of their suggestions. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"We enjoyed our stay."
Very nice hotel with friendly staff that were very helpful to us non Italian speakers. Restaurants around the hotel are fun and a good value. Very easy to get to ancient Rome sites and the train station. We stayed 3 nights and wished that all our hotels in other cities in Italy were as nice. We would definitely recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall I was very pleased with my stay at Hotel Verona. The price was very affordable. It was located in a decent neighborhood that felt safe, it was only about 4-5 blocks from Termini station where we had a large selection of buses and trains to choose from, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, the facilities were kept clean and well maintained, […] and they offered a great breakfast buffet (pastires, cereals, eggs, cold cuts, etc). The negatives was the size of the shower and the air conditioning. Although my fiance and I were not very bothered by the size of the shower, it was pretty tight. Someone weighing 200 or more lbs might have much more difficulty in the shower. The bigger issue for us was the air conditioner kept cutting off. Apparently the circuit breaker for the AC wasn't so strong because it would go out every 10-15 minutes and we would have to go out in the hallway and reset it. It was rather annoying, but luckily it wasn't too hot in the evenings while we slept. Aside from the AC unit, I had no issues with the hotel and would recommend it to others. "Conveniently located in Rome"
Good hotels for few days of family vacation in Roma. Conveniently located, close to Terminy Train station and the Coliseum, multitude of restaurants close by, rooms well equippedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok... for Rome"
I think lame air conditioning, thin bedspreads, and small bathrooms are standard in all Italian hotels. However, our shower was so small that the shower curtain stuck to my legs and I flooded the bathroom every time I used it. Also, the lights kept going out in the bathroom and we had to have maintenance come in and fix them - twice. Although it says […] that the check out time is later, management decided that everyone had to be out of the hotel by 10am and I could hear them waking up multiple rooms and telling them that they needed to leave in the next 15 minutes. Since we had no lights and could not shower, we were given an additional 30 minutes before having to check out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Recent stay at the Hotel Verona"
I recently stayed at the hotel verona in Rome, Italy during a 5 day vacation in Rome. The location of the hotel is EXCELLENT. It's a 5-7 minute walk to the termini station and a 10 minute walk to the colleseum. It's also within walking distance to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps if you don't mind walking for 15-20 minutes. The eating near the […] hotel is fantastic as well; every restaurant I went to on Panisperna was absolutely delicious. The meals were fresh and authentic; there were many romans and few tourist that ate along this street. The room in our hotel was small and relatively clean but the shower was large and very nice. We were only in our room to sleep so it didn't matter. Overall, if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay that is in a great location with a clean/comfortable room this is the place for you. Hotel close to amenities and all sightseeing points in Rome. Very comfortable, easy feeling at hotel. Breakfast a good experience in pleasant surroundings. Rooms good - all very clean. "Nice hotel close to attractions"
I wasn't too sure if we booked the right hotel leading up to our stay, but my worries was put to rest as soon as we arrived. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and it was in a great location for all the tourist spots, we walked almost everywhere on our stay and it all took anything from 10mins to 30mins. This is a good 3 star hotel, the rooms […] aren't huge and they could do with some tea and coffee facilities in the room, and the walls could b thicker but we buth had brilliant nights sleep and the bathroom was a good size. The staff were very helpful throughout our whole stay. I would def book this hotel again if I was lucky enough to cone back to Rome. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fit for purpose hotel in an excellent location"
We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel Verona for 4 nights. It's not a luxurious hotel but worth what we paid for it and the staff are very friendly and the location is excellent. Only 10 minutes walk to the colosseum, 15 mins to trevi fountain, 1 hr to the Vatican City...we didn't get on the metro at all as feel walking is the best way to explore […] the city. "Perfect Spot in the old town"
The hotel is in a great location within the "Old Town" just right beside the Piazza Maggiore. 5 minutes walk to the colosseum and surrounding tourist attractions. From there you can walk everywhere. Lots of little restaurants around with some wine bars and various places to eat and drink. We did not take one single taxi for our whole 3 days stay, everything […] is within walking distance and besides each road you walk on is full of attractive architecture to view as you walk so why wouldn't you walk. If you don't want to walk the metro or buses are very close. This hotel is 10-15 mins walk away from the main Termini so if you get a train or bus to Termini from the airport you can get to the hotel quite fast. The hotel was small but nice, realistically if you're expecting something very upper class this may not suit you. It is definitely a 3 star but by no means lacking in quality. The rooms were clean, bathroom was clean and room service come each day. Receptionists were all very very helpful, their English is very very good and they will help with anything. There is complementary internet access in the reception also. Breakfast was a buffet with bread, pastries, cereal, tea/coffee and ham, cheese or eggs on request. Again staff were very nice and helpful. I would recommend if your budget stretches perhaps to have breakfast out as the coffee in Italy is just simply amazing and the coffee in the hotel is from a machine with the exception of a simple espresso. "Good value for money"
Hotel is very well located. Less than 10 minutes walk to the Coliseum. Close to public transport (Metro Cavour Station or Termini Station). Hotel is in good condition and the breakfast is very good. Reception is open 24h and all staff I had contact with has been very helpful and courteous. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel is that the bedroom […] I stayed in (206) didn't have a full sized mirror and the shower doesn't have glass doors, it is actually shower curtains which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the small size of the bathroom. It means everytime you have a shower, the whole bathroom gets wet. Hotel is very good overwall... really good value for money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything you needed"
This was just a short walk from the Termini Station. The hotel itself is presented well on first impressions. The room was nice, the bed was slightly hard for my liking and not enough pillows, the bathroom could have done with some investment, it seemed as though they stopped decorating half way through. The reception were extremely helpful in helping […] us get around town, supplying maps and directions. All the cities attractions are easily accessible from the hotel, either by walking or Public Transport. I'd probably not chose to stay here again if i were visiting Rome again. "Excellent family hotel in the centre of Rome!"
We came across as a young family for a 2 week holiday staying in a family room at the hotel Verona. During this time, the staff were friendly and helpful, booking taxis when required, offering information on location - including the weather! The breakfast was an excellent continental choice and the drink options were varied and tasty. The room itself […] was split into two for the family with the children being separated by a half dividing wall allowing that extra piece of privacy that we as the parents loved! The location is excellent, 10mins walk away from Termini (the main Rome train station) and close to all the local attractions - the forum etc is about a mile walk away. And on the doorstep of the pope's parish church - Santa Maria Maggiore! As an added extra bit of colour, there was an excellent gelateria around the corner with the tastiest ice-cream this side of the vatican! Finally, speaking of the vatican, the metro service from Termini leads to all the popular Rome destinations; as a quirky destination I would highly recommend the zoo in Borghese park for those with children. "Nice clean hotel with friendly staff"
Hotel location is good, staffs are friendly and nice. The room is small for a family and the shower is , not exactly a shower its just a curtain drawn across a square. The breakfast was not great. Other than this everything else is good. In other words its a good 3 star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great bed and breakfast close to the sites"
Hotel in a good location, close to restaurants and only 10 min walk to the Colosseum. The main other sites we managed to walk to in one round trip. We took a taxi to the Vatican on another day which the hotel arranged for us which cost around €14, we had young children with us and didn't fancy navigating the metro or bus in the intense heat we had in […] Rome during our stay. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are a good size, with a fridge so we could keep some drinks cool to take out with us. The air conditioning was very welcome on our return each day. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location but poor to mediocre otherwise"
This hotel has a convenient location next to Santa Maria Maggiore and a short walk from Termini, but not much else going for it. The room was a reasonable size, but the furniture and general decor were shabby. There was a constant humming in the room due to our bathroom fan and possibly the one from the room beside us, which we could not control. Occassionally […] our fan or the other would shut off but rarely both, so there was constantly some annoying background noise and furthermore, the walls were just not at all sound proof so we could hear everything from the surrounding rooms or the alley next to us. The breakfast area was actually quite nice, but it was understaffed with a poor single worker stocking the food, clearing tables and doing the dishes. The selection of the food at breakfast was pretty limited in comparison to the other hotels that we stayed at in Italy. Overall, this hotel was disappointing, but not terrible. If we had gotten a great price, I would not complain about such details, but for what we paid, I was hoping for more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Dont Stay at Hotel Verona-Rome if you need Wifi"
The hotel has a good location near the central railway station. Front desk staff were generally courteous helpful. Quite nice breakfast. My only real complaint relates to their Wifi. Each guest is supposed tro have 50mb per day free, but mine never lasted more than 10 minutes and then dropped out, even as I only checking email. This happened every day. […] When i spoke to the front desk (there is only1 person on duty ) they either blamed the Wifi provider or told me than my laptop was old and used more MbS- even thoufgh the same thing happened ON my iPhone for downloads. Clearly theIR wifi is faulty= very frustrating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel close to the sights of Rome"
Myself and my fiancee stayed at this hotel for our first visit to Rome for a five day city break in June 2013. It was superbly placed within the centre of Rome for all of the places that we wanted to visit. We were able to walk to the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, Palatine hill and were also very close to a bus stop for the hop on hop off bus tours […] which were able to take us to the Vatican city, the Spanish steps and the Pantheon. We would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay within close distance of all the sight seeing monuments and places in Rome. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and all spoke good English. The room was comfortable and although the bathroom was on the small side it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The buffet breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice including pastries, toast, cereal, meat, cheese and eggs. I would recommend taking your own hair dryer with you as the one in the hotel is very basic and attached to the wall in the bathroom. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff were helpful in finding us a room with two beds because of a misunderstanding about us wanting twin beds rather than a double bed. It was a reasonable price in a good location. The breakfast was rather disappointing and not very healthy with no fresh fruit and fruit juice was sweetened. There was a reluctance to supply fresh cappuccino even […] though they had the machine they tried to get us to use the automatic machine instead. However overall it was a good choice. "Good value for money"
The hotel is what you would expect for the price, don't expect spacious rooms with modern decor. It is however very clean, provides good value for money and has helpful pleasant staff. "A hidden Gem"
What a wonderful 'little gem' of a hotel. Everyone of the staff that we had any contact with, were very helpful, very polite. From Allessandro & Mauricio on the front desk to Giovanna in the breakfast room. It was a 'breath of fresh air' to meet such lovely and accommodating people. The hotel was very clean and tidy, the breakfast was well presented. […] If I had one criticism it would be that one of our party uses a wheelchair and we were told that this was not a problem as there is a lift in the hotel, which was true but..................you had to climb a small flight of stairs to get to the lift. The lift then stops between floors ie: when you get out of the lift you either have to go up some stairs to get to one floor or down some stairs to get to the other floor!! Not practical for wheelchairs. Luckily he used his crutches (but stairs were still 'hard work'). We would definetaly book and stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Basic hotel - but great location"
The hotel staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. The room was rather basic and 'tired' looking - not much room to move about! Bed was really comfy though. We didn't discover the the air con until the morning we left and although the heating wasn't on - the room was very warm most of the time. The bathroom was cramped and the shower area was too small […] - so the curtain stuck to you and water went all over the floor. The balcony was great - but unfinished wall made it look really tatty.
