"Conveniently located in Rome"
Good hotels for few days of family vacation in Roma. Conveniently located, close to Terminy Train station and the Coliseum, multitude of restaurants close by, rooms well equippedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok... for Rome"
I think lame air conditioning, thin bedspreads, and small bathrooms are standard in all Italian hotels. However, our shower was so small that the shower curtain stuck to my legs and I flooded the bathroom every time I used it. Also, the lights kept going out in the bathroom and we had to have maintenance come in and fix them - twice. Although it says […] that the check out time is later, management decided that everyone had to be out of the hotel by 10am and I could hear them waking up multiple rooms and telling them that they needed to leave in the next 15 minutes. Since we had no lights and could not shower, we were given an additional 30 minutes before having to check out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Recent stay at the Hotel Verona"
I recently stayed at the hotel verona in Rome, Italy during a 5 day vacation in Rome. The location of the hotel is EXCELLENT. It's a 5-7 minute walk to the termini station and a 10 minute walk to the colleseum. It's also within walking distance to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps if you don't mind walking for 15-20 minutes. The eating near the […] hotel is fantastic as well; every restaurant I went to on Panisperna was absolutely delicious. The meals were fresh and authentic; there were many romans and few tourist that ate along this street. The room in our hotel was small and relatively clean but the shower was large and very nice. We were only in our room to sleep so it didn't matter. Overall, if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay that is in a great location with a clean/comfortable room this is the place for you. "Hotel Verona- nice cheap option!"
The hotel was perfectly fine... small bathroom, but nice terrace. Location close to the termini train station, lots of food options around, although we didnt eat anywhere near by. Air conditioner broke when first turned on, and then they didnt fix it for the next night either. Thankfully it wasnt terribly hot, but still not exactly comfortable. Breakfast […] was decent, nice outside patio to eat on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good service at a convenient location"
Reception was helpful. Good breakfast. Location is convenient and easily accesible by walk from Termini Station as well as central attractions. There may be noise out in the terrace especially early in the morning during breakfast time. There is no internet in the rooms which is a pitty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Two Nights in Rome At Hotel Verona"
We spent two nights in Rome following a 15 day cruise and we were very pleased with the hotel. The building is older (Duh...this is Rome) but has been recently remodeled including new furnishings. The elevator is small (three persons max) and there are a few steps to contend with to get to your room. The Hotel was created using two separate buildings. […] Our room was on the 4th floor and very comfortable. The included continental breakfast was better than expected. We were able to use the airport shuttle (not run by hotel) for 14 Euros per person. (30 min. to airport) We ate at two different restaurants on the street and were happy with the food and service. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and many other sites. Great air conditioning (new). The staff went out of their way to assist and answer questions. Will stay here again. We very much enjoyed this hotel. Location pretty good but we felt that it was a little too expensive for the value received. Perhaps this is true of most of Rome. Room and bathroom were very small but clean. Close to metro and Sta. Maria Magiore basilica. English speaking staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was not very nice or helpful. They advertise internet but it never works and if you ask them they are unwilling to get it fixed. They advertise English TV but only have one channel (BBC). The bed and room are not very comfortable, but that is acceptable if you do not plan to be there very much. Breakfast is the same thing every day and it […] is not very good. After day two or three you will want to go elsewhere to eat. I expected more and better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good base of operations"
The Hotel Verona served as a great base for sightseeing with my wife and two young kids. The hotel staff was both helpful and friendly, and the room was very clean. The only down sides were the big city noise at night (hard to escape in the big city) and the funky smell in the bathroom that I have come to expect in humid places. That said, though, I […] have already recommended the Hotel Verona to a friend who will be visiting in a few months. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good value hotel"
The hotel staff were helpful despite our late arrival due to plane delays. The room was simple but clean. Hotel close to underground and within walking distance of Colosseum and Forum. Breakfast great.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent family hotel in the centre of Rome!"
We came across as a young family for a 2 week holiday staying in a family room at the hotel Verona. During this time, the staff were friendly and helpful, booking taxis when required, offering information on location - including the weather! The breakfast was an excellent continental choice and the drink options were varied and tasty. The room itself […] was split into two for the family with the children being separated by a half dividing wall allowing that extra piece of privacy that we as the parents loved! The location is excellent, 10mins walk away from Termini (the main Rome train station) and close to all the local attractions - the forum etc is about a mile walk away. And on the doorstep of the pope's parish church - Santa Maria Maggiore! As an added extra bit of colour, there was an excellent gelateria around the corner with the tastiest ice-cream this side of the vatican! Finally, speaking of the vatican, the metro service from Termini leads to all the popular Rome destinations; as a quirky destination I would highly recommend the zoo in Borghese park for those with children. "Nice clean hotel with friendly staff"
Hotel location is good, staffs are friendly and nice. The room is small for a family and the shower is , not exactly a shower its just a curtain drawn across a square. The breakfast was not great. Other than this everything else is good. In other words its a good 3 star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great bed and breakfast close to the sites"
Hotel in a good location, close to restaurants and only 10 min walk to the Colosseum. The main other sites we managed to walk to in one round trip. We took a taxi to the Vatican on another day which the hotel arranged for us which cost around €14, we had young children with us and didn't fancy navigating the metro or bus in the intense heat we had in […] Rome during our stay. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are a good size, with a fridge so we could keep some drinks cool to take out with us. The air conditioning was very welcome on our return each day. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location but poor to mediocre otherwise"
This hotel has a convenient location next to Santa Maria Maggiore and a short walk from Termini, but not much else going for it. The room was a reasonable size, but the furniture and general decor were shabby. There was a constant humming in the room due to our bathroom fan and possibly the one from the room beside us, which we could not control. Occassionally […] our fan or the other would shut off but rarely both, so there was constantly some annoying background noise and furthermore, the walls were just not at all sound proof so we could hear everything from the surrounding rooms or the alley next to us. The breakfast area was actually quite nice, but it was understaffed with a poor single worker stocking the food, clearing tables and doing the dishes. The selection of the food at breakfast was pretty limited in comparison to the other hotels that we stayed at in Italy. Overall, this hotel was disappointing, but not terrible. If we had gotten a great price, I would not complain about such details, but for what we paid, I was hoping for more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed our stay. Helpful staff and close to places to walk too as well as the metro, buses and trains. Would go back if we visit Rome again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel Verona is a great base to explore Rome. Within walking distance of the most major sites but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Rooms pretty small but are comfortable and the breakfast is good. This was the second time we stayed here and would do again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Dont Stay at Hotel Verona-Rome if you need Wifi"
The hotel has a good location near the central railway station. Front desk staff were generally courteous helpful. Quite nice breakfast. My only real complaint relates to their Wifi. Each guest is supposed tro have 50mb per day free, but mine never lasted more than 10 minutes and then dropped out, even as I only checking email. This happened every day. […] When i spoke to the front desk (there is only1 person on duty ) they either blamed the Wifi provider or told me than my laptop was old and used more MbS- even thoufgh the same thing happened ON my iPhone for downloads. Clearly theIR wifi is faulty= very frustrating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel close to the sights of Rome"
Myself and my fiancee stayed at this hotel for our first visit to Rome for a five day city break in June 2013. It was superbly placed within the centre of Rome for all of the places that we wanted to visit. We were able to walk to the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, Palatine hill and were also very close to a bus stop for the hop on hop off bus tours […] which were able to take us to the Vatican city, the Spanish steps and the Pantheon. We would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay within close distance of all the sight seeing monuments and places in Rome. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and all spoke good English. The room was comfortable and although the bathroom was on the small side it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The buffet breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice including pastries, toast, cereal, meat, cheese and eggs. I would recommend taking your own hair dryer with you as the one in the hotel is very basic and attached to the wall in the bathroom. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff were helpful in finding us a room with two beds because of a misunderstanding about us wanting twin beds rather than a double bed. It was a reasonable price in a good location. The breakfast was rather disappointing and not very healthy with no fresh fruit and fruit juice was sweetened. There was a reluctance to supply fresh cappuccino even […] though they had the machine they tried to get us to use the automatic machine instead. However overall it was a good choice. "Good value for money"
The hotel is what you would expect for the price, don't expect spacious rooms with modern decor. It is however very clean, provides good value for money and has helpful pleasant staff. The biggest point in its favour is its close proximity to the termini station where the Terra vision coach starts and ends for the airports (8 euros return if booked […] over the internet). "A hidden Gem"
What a wonderful 'little gem' of a hotel. Everyone of the staff that we had any contact with, were very helpful, very polite. From Allessandro & Mauricio on the front desk to Giovanna in the breakfast room. It was a 'breath of fresh air' to meet such lovely and accommodating people. The hotel was very clean and tidy, the breakfast was well presented. […] If I had one criticism it would be that one of our party uses a wheelchair and we were told that this was not a problem as there is a lift in the hotel, which was true but..................you had to climb a small flight of stairs to get to the lift. The lift then stops between floors ie: when you get out of the lift you either have to go up some stairs to get to one floor or down some stairs to get to the other floor!! Not practical for wheelchairs. Luckily he used his crutches (but stairs were still 'hard work'). We would definetaly book and stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was very good and convenient for bus, having said that it was easy to just walk you saw so much more and came upon interesting things you would miss on a bus. "Well located budget hotel."
Chosen the hotel for its location and was not disappointed. Close to Colosseum, Fora and Termini Station for all types of transport. Small basic rooms, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels, basic continental breakfast with time allocation. The room would have benefited from some cleaning. Basic hotel for a short stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Basic hotel - but great location"
The hotel staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. The room was rather basic and 'tired' looking - not much room to move about! Bed was really comfy though. We didn't discover the the air con until the morning we left and although the heating wasn't on - the room was very warm most of the time. The bathroom was cramped and the shower area was too small […] - so the curtain stuck to you and water went all over the floor. The balcony was great - but unfinished wall made it look really tatty. Breakfast was good and the lady who ran it was friendly and happy to supply more of items if required. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The absence of blankets on the bed a little concerting with only a sheet and a thin bedspread to combat the absence of heat during the night and rising early in the morning to a chilly room and bathroom did not start the day well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Verona, Rome"
The hotel was clean & the staff was helpful. The only problem was the elevator stopped at the middle level of 2 floors, you had to drag the suitcase 8 steps to reach to your floor.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel Verona was the perfect hotel for our requirements, and we had a great stay there. Travelling with 2 small children is never simple, but the quadruple room at Hotel Verona was spacious, and the staff made our stay that much simpler. The hotel is a quick walk away from the Colosseum, and conveniently located if one wishes to spend time in the central […] areas of Rome. Piazza Navona, Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps and the beautiful areas around the Trevi Fountain were all within short distance, although we opted to take cabs quite a lot so as to preserve the energy of the children for as long as possible. The hotel is 5 mins. away from Roma Termini station and very close to one of the basillicas and hence location wise it is really a good place to be.
