Hotel Verona-Rome

We spent two nights in Rome following a 15 day cruise and we were very pleased with the hotel. The building is older (Duh...this is Rome) but has been recently remodeled including new furnishings. The elevator is small (three persons max) and there are a few steps to contend with to get to your room. The Hotel was created using two separate buildings. […] Our room was on the 4th floor and very comfortable. The included continental breakfast was better than expected. We were able to use the airport shuttle (not run by hotel) for 14 Euros per person. (30 min. to airport) We ate at two different restaurants on the street and were happy with the food and service. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and many other sites. Great air conditioning (new). The staff went out of their way to assist and answer questions. Will stay here again. Read more

We were very pleased with Hotel Verona. It is conveniently located - not far from the historic center and next to the main transportation hub. The room was very large for a european hotel. The bathroom was clean and modern. The room was a quad with a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa which was already made up. Chosen the hotel for its location and was not disappointed. Close to Colosseum, Fora and Termini Station for all types of transport. Small basic rooms, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels, basic continental breakfast with time allocation. The room would have benefited from some cleaning. Basic hotel for a short stay.

The hotel staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. The room was rather basic and 'tired' looking - not much room to move about! Bed was really comfy though. We didn't discover the the air con until the morning we left and although the heating wasn't on - the room was very warm most of the time. The bathroom was cramped and the shower area was too small […] - so the curtain stuck to you and water went all over the floor. The balcony was great - but unfinished wall made it look really tatty. We stayed at the hotel twice with a trip to Florence in between. The first room was very small with a tiny bathroom which was not as comfortable. Our second room was large with a balcomy and more modern bathroon. The staff were excellent and very helpful for all our needs. Would recommend this hotel.

Small hotel with friendly helpful staff. Great location - 5 minute walk from Termini and 7 minute walk from the Coloseum. Buy your own drinks to take back to their terrace. Free wifi also a bonus.

This place hardly qualifies as a "hotel", despite the price and the stars. However, it's located within a walking distance from the Colosseum etc. Rooms are tiny (room for "quatro" sure doesn't mean 4 people - it was like the Marx brothers in the closet), old basic furniture, no air, uncomfortable bath. Poor service. Unfriendly.

The hotel was very cosy in a nice and central part of Rome. Only a 10-25 minutes walk to the main sites (collosseum, trevi fountain, spanish steps, etc). The hotel is small and so are the rooms (we were traveling with our 7 month old son and teh baby bed didn't leave much space to move around in), but we weren't there for the rooms. The only issue we […] had about the room was the water pressure and temperature regulation in the shower. Not too much pressure and it was a lottery whether you got very hot water or cold water. The included breakfast was pretty good, but you have to get there early (before 9am). Friendly reception staff, very helpful organised a people carrier to return us to the airport in comfort and cheaper than using the express train.
