There was nobody at the front desk when I arrived. Front desk clerk was not very friendly during my check in. Driving around the hotel to get to my room noticed that the pool was not operational (would have been nice to note that on the website). Once I arrived to the room it was hot and smelled. I had to ask for more towels from the housekeeping staff who were pushing Wal-Mart shopping carts filled with their supplies. When I left and arrived back later that night there was some sort of party going on in the room directly above mine. It sounded as though somebody might come crashing through the ceiling it was so loud. There were people yelling and one woman screaming at the top of their lungs outside of the room. Started off wrong...I landed @ 6:00pm called for a shuttle, they forgot about me and I ended up having to call them back....needless to say I waited 50min in the airport for a shuttle that took only 7-8 minutes to drive back to the hotel...the hotel room was okay UNTIL I found a baby roach crawling on the desk...the breakfast bar was HORRIBLE...t. price […] I paid for this room was over priced & the online description of the hotel is tototally decieving...awesome location & friendly service from the front desk, however I will NEVER stay there again...not to mention the walls are extremely thin I heard the people walking around their room above me, no filter from the noise in the hallways or the adjacent rooms...at times I thought someone was coming into my room but it was my neighbor entering/leaving their room. Not as advertised--no 20 item breakfast bar; no DVD players; no lobby board games; no bedside candies --who wrote that on website? Rooms poorly cleaned, esp. bathrooms, filthy carpets throughout. Friendly registration staff; overworked chamberstaff. Broken appliances (washer-dryer, ice machine). Our group of 10 dissatisfied. Would not return.

Not as nice as the last two Red Roofs I have stayed in; this one doesn't appeared to have been remodeled to the newer style rooms like they had. Room was clean and bed comfortable. One of the room's chairs was wobbly and one the desk light didn't work. Breakfast was very limited. Good location right off I-95 with lots of restaurant options at this exit […] and the next exit one mile south. Airport is nearby, but no noise problems because of it. If I visit Savannah again I would try to find a nicer place to stay, but if I ended up here again I would be okay with it. Read more

The staff was super friendly, proximity to and free shuttle to airport were all pluses. The condition of the room I had was pretty bad. The furnishings are in need of upgrading - they're outdated. I booked a NON-Smoking room and when exited the elevator onto the third floor I could smell cigarette smoke. When I entered the room I was not ready to be knocked over by the smell.....it was reallly bad!! I didn't like that the side door did not LOCK. Anyone who wanted to enter the building could do so without having to scan a key card to enter. Good location for easy on/off of highway and room was clean. Stray cats wandering hallways might be an allergy problem for some guests. Beds were very uncomfortable. No one slept all that well in our group.

There was a stain on the carpet, mold in the bathroom, putty repairs to various parts of the room. It felt like a dive, and I was concerned for my safety.
