Stayed here on our honeymoon, couldn't have asked for a better place for the money. The staff was extremely helpful with speedy check in/out. Concierge staff was on their A game the entire time. Room was cleaned daily and very comfortable. The bar was nice but a bit expensive ( but that's London). Vauxhall tube station is only a five minute walk which isn't bad at all. There is a grocery store next door that has about everything you need. Was a great stay.

Just what we expected. everything was good except the wash basin drain was full of hair and drained poorly. surprised that the maid service didn't report it
Location.
Located in London's Belgravia district, The Goring is adjacent to Buckingham Palace and 3 blocks from Victoria Station. The luxury hotel is within walking distance of the West End, the theatre district, Hyde Park, and the other Royal Parks.
Hotel Features.
The Goring has been run by the same family for 4 generations since it opened in 1910 and features private gardens and a veranda where guests can dine in the summer. The Edwardian hotel also has a restaurant, bar, and lounge. The 5-star hotel has a 24-hour business center with Internet access and printer and a 24-hour concierge.
Guests have complimentary access to a nearby gym with a pool and sauna. This family-friendly hotel welcomes children with gifts, activities, and a library of bedtime stories. There are 4 private rooms that can be reserved for meetings and events.
Guestrooms.
The 71 individually decorated guestrooms at The Goring are equipped with air conditioning and high-speed Internet access and feature city or garden views. Marble bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations with handheld showerheads, hair dryers, bathrobes, and slippers.
Televisions include satellite channels and pay movies. Complimentary newspapers are also provided along with in-room safes and direct-dial multi-line phones with voice mail. Turndown service is offered nightly and housekeeping is available twice daily. Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in August 2009.

Stayed there for three nights April 22 - 25, 2011. Yep, the weekend before the royal wedding! While a scheduling accident, made everything even more exciting. Loved the hotel, it is charmingly traditional, complete with typical English whimsey. Will definately be back. Hard to imagine visiting London and not staying there in the future.

Staff were incredible and must be very happy working for this hotel because it was reflected everywhere, from bellman, to reception, to room service to housekeeping. First of many visits for me and certainly trumps my usual five star picks which were full due to the Pope visit. I am very glad I was forced to try Goring, i will definitely return.

Everything at the Goring is always perfect. Not only is this superbly English hotel beautiful and supremely comfortable, the meals are beyond excellent, and best of all, the staff are not only competent but gracious and cordial. They go the extra mile to make sure their guests are happy. If I could afford it, I'd never stay anywhere else in London.

This is a great boutique hotel with outstanding service. Rooms are small but classy. It's in a very central location a block from Victoria station. It gets a 4 instead of a 5 because of the following: No soap in bathroom on arrival - we had to call for it. We got a room next to a kitchen, and it was terribly noisy all night. Staff was very helpful in […] getting us a new room, but this is not what we expected from a 5-star hotel. Also, there is no wireless internet, and their cable service is expensive. Read more

Location can not be beat less than 5 min walk to victoria train and tube station. Buckingham palace is around the corner, great to walk to in the evening. Wicked and Billy Elliott are within a 5 min walk. Safe area. Now the best part. The best service I have ever experienced in my life. The staff could not do enough for you. Would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel in August. For my purposes it is very well located. Very close to the bus and tube. Although not the largest rooms they are beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. I agree with other reviews that you get what you pay for and on that basis I decided to book a deluxe double room. Although my room faced […] the street it was very quiet. The afternoon tea is to die for. Too much to eat and whatever is left is very readily packed into a little box to take back to your room. I stayed during the recent riots. As I had already booked a theatre ticket and decided to still go it was suggested to me by the concierge that should I have any problems I was to ring the hotel and they would send a staff member in a taxi to collect me. No one could complain about that level of service. Luckily I didn't need any assistance. I know that I will certainly be returning to The Goring the next time I am in London. Read more

Overall this is a good hotel, with a good location. The room have a nice decoration, but are small and haven't any minibar. The concierge is very helpful as all the staff. Check in is inside the room, I didn't like it.

What a find, a charming hotel two minutes from Victoria station, so handy for the Orient Express. From the moment the porter opened the door of the taxi, to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Every whim was pampered for, no request considered unreasonable. Whilst the bedroom was not large, this is a a hotel 100 years old, […] and central London, Excellent range of Molton Brown cosmectics within the room, along with the usual complimentary items.
