This is a very comfortable hotel. However, the wireless service is just terrible. you need to log in every time you move to a different website -- it makes it very hard to be a business traveler.

Generally a pleasant stay but let down by the lack of an on site restaurant. The rooms are very comfortable with good wifi and entertainment options. All rooms have a CD/DVD player so if you fancy a night in remember to bring your favourite film! My advice would be to request a street facing room, although you might get some noise from the passing public […] it won't be any worse than the sound of the nearby bar and restaurant recycling their empties at 5.30 in the morning! I did complain to reception who apologised profusely stating that they had spoken to their neighbours on countless occasions but to no avail. Read more

Stayed twice recently & enjoyed both stays. Worth paying for mid range room as standard rooms have small bathrooms & tend to be on the front which can be noisy due to bus stops outside. Great reception staff, big smile and checked in quickly. Very comfortable rooms in a great location in the centre of town. Did not eat breakfast so can't comment on the food.

Fantastic buhilding with a lovely roomwith very high ceiling and although we arrived late we felt very comfortable chilling out for the rest of the evening. Niggles were the bed side light needed a new bulb and we couldn't get the TV working. Very attentive service to fix it though. Didn't eat so cant comment on food.

The hotel was lovely! Reception staff were really friendly and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Only negative was that the breakfast was £30 and we were not told this until after.

Lovely hotel, great period features and fantastic location. Convenient parking closeby and only short walk to city centre shops/bars. Staff very friendly and helpful. Slight negatives, beds was very soft (didn't stop me getting a good sleep) and the net curtains could have been a bit cleaner.

A bit of a mixed bag - had to move rooms as ventilation unit outside (single glazed) window would have kept us awake. Lift broken and a few finishing touches in room were a bit scruffy. But location, right on Bath St in the very heart of pub, restaurant & shopping, made up for it. Also staff were very friendly and efficient throughout. We were initially given a room which was very small and claustrophobic. We spoke to Reception who immediately offered us a different room which was very nice and much larger. Very good customer service.

Almost stayed at a cheaper place down the road. So glad I chose to pay that little bit extra for a really pleasant stay AND a late check out which enabled me to maximize the value and do some more shopping! Only thing I missed was ramp access as my luggage was filled to capacity.

Our bed had a worn out mattress, so sleeping was not easy. The windows did not insulate against noise from outside and we could hear the garbage trucks almost every morning stopping close to our door. The location is central and ideal to go out, but we also could hear people going out at night. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed here before. Great location to shopping and bars and restaurants on doorstep. However rooms at front suffer from bar?clubs getting out at 3am! Noise levels horrendous. Nothing the hotel can do about that. But if staying here suggest asking for a room at the back.

To be honest whenn we booked the room I didn't think it was going to be that great. Obviously my opinion when looking through the hotel pictures but once we got to reception the staff were so welcoming and dealt with us professionally. Stayed here a few years ago and loved it, but unfortunately the rooms are looking a bit tired and in need of a luck of paint! Staff very friendly and helpfull, shame the downstairs bar and restaurant are now closed ! Would stay again as its very reasonably priced but a spruce up woulnt go a miss !

I was very pleased with my stay at Abode Glasgow, having stayed at the Manchester hotel I was hoping for a similar exprience and I was not disappointed. The staff were very attentive. Very enjoyable stay. Loved the building and staircase and old fashioned lift. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Room looked out onto Bath Street so was a bit noisy on a Saturday night when we stayed. Breakfast was amazing! Would recommend to a friend.

Since I had requested a room with minimum walking from the lift, we were given a ground-floor accessible room. The window looked onto a lane between the hotel and another building, and was resultantly very dim, requiring artificial light at all times. Everything was good except the room was very dark requiring all the lights on even in the daytime and those lights themselves were very dim. Although the staff tried to help by providing an extra floor lamp, it was also too dim to make a difference. Fine if you are suffering from migraine or a hangover but too gloomy otherwise.

The restaurant down stairs had a deal on where 2 could eat for £28 incl a bottle of wine from their Christmas menu. Good price, however the portion size was very, very small. For just the 1 night, where I was looking for all the comforts of my home town, this hotel absolutely hit the spot and didn't embarrass me in front of my guest. I will definitely return, and recommend this to future Glasgow bound travelers. I look forward to staying longer on my next visit.
