The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The hotel is well kept and the staff is very friently. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone.The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price.

The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

The room was very small and a bit tight for friends. It would be nice for a couple. But the room had a cozy private terrace. And the staff was wonderful! The two desk personnel we encountered were helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for a great visit and made a point of having what we needed before we knew we needed it. The hotel was clean, the food just right and always a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us. I would return without thinking twice.

Conveniently near the airport in Uithoorn, Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel Uithoorn is close to Aalsmeer Flower Auction. Additional area attractions include National Museum Schiphol.

"Best Western Hotel, Uithoorn, Netherlands"
This Hotel is not easy to find in the dark and the restaurant closes at 8pm although there are three restaurants at the Bus Station which stay open later. This hotel is not that convenient to the airport.
The hotel is very nice and if you have your own car it would do very well as a base. If you need to depend on taxis, it is out of the way and taxi rides to and from the airport are very expensive. Staff was very nice and the accommodation lovely.

"Not as advertised"
The hotel was not close to the airport as advertised. Cost too much money to travel to and from the airport. Room was small, bathroom was uncomfortable-no room for toiletries in the bathroom. The kitchen was open so food smells filled the corridors. Restaurant had little food choice. There was no air conditioning so we had to have the window open but […] the window could only open slightly and there were no screens. "Not an airport hotel"
It's about 10 km from Schipol, and there are no signs on the A4 that lead you to Uithoorn. It only makes sense if you have a car and are looking for a remote, quiet suburb outside Amsterdam city. The room was large, but there was no air-con. Luckily, the weather was mild, but it might be a problem in a hot summer.

"hotel best western amsterdam"
Le sejour c'est bien passé, par contre j'ai eu beaucoup de mal a me rendre et à revenir du centre ville d'amsterdam qui se trouve a plus de 20 km de l'hotel. Ma note de taxi est bien trop importante en sachant qu on m'avais dit qu il se trouvait a 7km du centre.

Wir haben ein Familienzimmer gebucht und auch bekommen - geräumig und mit den gewünschten drei Betten ausgestattet. Zimmer und Bad waren o.k. ABER: Das Hotel wird als "Airport Hotel" angeboten. Und das ist es absolut nicht. Erstens gibt es keinen Shuttle zwischen Flughafen und Hotel, zweitens kostet die Taxifahrt einfach rund 35 Euro, was den Zimmerpreis […] kräftig nach oben hebt und das Hotel in eine andere Preiskategorie hebt. Vor allem aber besteht die Gefahr einer Verwechslung mit einem anderen, "echten" Best Western-Airport Hotel. Dieses stellt am Flughafenausgang einen Bus-Shuttle bereit. "not an "Airport Hotel""
I am from China, I stayed here in September 2010, for 2 nights. I selected this hotel because its name is "Airport Hotel", I thought it is not far from the airport, but I was wrong. When we reached the airport, we got a free shutter bus from airport to "Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel", after a long line waiting for checking in, I was told that […] this is the wrong hotel for me, the right one is "Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel Uithoorn"! Oh, my god, as a person from a non-English speaking country, I don't know where "Uithoorn" is. I was also told that the only connection between two hotels is taxi. Finally we reached the right hotel by more than 25 euro taxi. Ok, let me come back to this hotel "Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel Uithoorn". The good points of the hotel is: 1. About 200 meters to the hotel, there is a bus terminal, you can easily find bus to central station, airport, and the museums. 2. Close to the bus station, there are two restaurants, one is Holland style, the other is Japanese style. 3. About 500 meters to the hotel, there is a big supermarket, you can buy everything here. 4. For hotel itself, you can regester one night before for shuttle bus to airport, but you must pay. 5. Free hot water for drinking in the coffee machine. The bad points for the hotel: 1. No free shutter to airport or central station. Actually, this hotel is not close to the airport, I strongly recommend they remove the "Airport Hotel" from their name. 2. No air condition in the room. 3. The lock of the room is very difficult to close, and, once it is closed, it is very difficult to open again. The lock needs to be repaired. 4. It is easily to loose your ring/pocket/mobile into the gap between two beds, be careful. 5. Hotel is on the way of planes, so it is noisy. Generally speaking, if you want to have some experience of Holland country, you can select here. However, if you want to stay here for connecting next fleight, it is highly not recommended. Read more

"Pænt ældre hotel i god køreafstand til seværdighed"
Ældre Best Western, men med super god service fra personalet. Ligger i perfekt køreafstand ( i egen bil) til seværdigheder, men beliggende imellem boligblokke og industrikvarterer, så området er ikke specielt indbydende. Men rigtig godt hotel, hvis man har brug for et sted at sove. Man skal dog være opmærksom på at man ikke kan spise andet en morgenmad […] fredag, lørdag og søndag, da restauranten holder lukket her og der findes kun få restauranter i nærmeste småbyer. Read more
