Think owners have changed since there last. Outside of property seems to be maintained better. Comfortable beds and pillows and good air conditioning. Flat screen TV/good reception/channel listing. Lawn chairs, usually at pool, arranged under trees on grass in courtyard. Cons--temps in upper 90's and low 100's and pool, though filled and appearing clean, […] was closed! The only thing I could complain about is the service of the graveyard shift guy who checked us in. He was incompetent and rude. Not helpful at all. Everyone else we had contact with was amazing! I would also have been happier to see the pool and hot tub open. It was closed for the winter, even though it is now spring.

It was the first hotel where we ran out of tissue paper and bathroom paper. They did not even provide an extra bathroom paper. Their regitration service was extremly slow as well. Their TV went out on us too, so I wont return there since it was not convenient .

The rooms were small but clean, it was a quiet neighborhood with plenty of food options near by. No fridge or microwave. You must pay a daily fee for wi-fi, as well as pay to use the lobby computer with additional charges for printing. Not a lot of bells and whistles but great for the price and the location.

Parking lot completely full, had to wake up front office to check in, bed was atrocious. It was clean and generally well maintained, with a Starbucks very nearby.

I was nervous after reading the reviews, but son realized, like most reviews online: most people are idiots and quick to complain.The room was fine, nothing fancy. I didn't search out dirty stuff, but if I came across it, I just dealt. Th pillowcase was dirty, so I used the other one. The replaced the dirty one the next day- no biggie. The hotel is very run down. Our door had a huge gap all down the side & opening it always took several tries. The carpet was so stained it looked more black than colored. A woman next to us found a bug in her bed which was pretty alarming! The good thing was a refrigerator in the room. There was coffee available in the lobby in the mornings.

This is a very basic and clean motel. No frills and was great during a move. Calabasas is a town with no smoking in any common areas but encountered people usually smoking in the parking lot. This hotel is a rare find. Its situated in Calabasas 10 min away from Malibu. Its staff is friendly. There is no breakfast and the microwave can cut off on you. But the restaurants next to the hotel are in walking distance as well as the grocery stores the cleaners and the laundry mat. They do have laundry on the premises but you have to carry your […] clothes down to the office so if you plan to wash you better get a room next to the office. If you get a room on the far end then you can expect to hear traffic due to the proximity of the hotel to the hwy 101. Thats the trade off for being able to get on the hwy in about 60 seconds. The hotel is situated in a commercial area so there arent really a lot off houses nearby. which makes for a quiet stay at night. They have to upgrade their linen and drapes and the linen wasn't that great until we switched it and asked for a clean set which made us draw a conclusion......huuum . But overall the place was cool and we even saw a patrol car drive through the lot once. So if your visiting Malibu, thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills , Calabasas, Westlake Village area...and you want a inexspensive stay thats pretty descent for the money we would suggest you try this place and we rate it 3.8 stars and a smiley face. Good place to stay and definitely will come back if ever another family gathering in Southern Cal . I like the location it's close to the freeway, Albertsons, Starbucks and McDonald .

If you're looking for a luxury hotel, then obviously go to one instead of coming here. However, if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep then this place is great! We were so impressed with the value. It was quiet and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If we ever need to stay in the area again it will definitely be here.
