"Poor choice of accomodations"
Extremely disappointed!!! Unclean small rooms I would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the best, but not the worst"
We had an ok stay at the Indian Hills in Taos, NM. The beds were comfortable and our room was fairly clean. Also, the room was cold which I didn't mind. The only problem I had was that the bathroom was dirty and the shower handle kept falling off. Also, I thought about taking an afternoon swim, but the pool was filthy. I honestly believe the rivers […] in the mountains were cleaner than the pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Did you like the 50's?"
A blast from the past. Same fixtures, same paint, maybe even the same dust in the corners. Daniel was a bright spot and one of the reasons the rating is not a 1 star. Someone was kind enough to teepee the car next to mine in the parking lot and decorate mine with beer cans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"dont stay here"
The morning person was very grumpy when asked for plates for the breakfast area. He slammed out of the office and went across the street to buy them. The building needs a lot of clean up and there were weeds in the parking lot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay at the Indian Hills Plaza. The rooms were really clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. It is located so close to great shopping and galleries. We will stay here again when we come back to Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
bathroom could have been a little cleaner, sheets had holes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was ok.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stay was very enjoyable. Desk clerk was especially helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very clean room staff was very helpful in telling some great places to eat. Would stay again if we are coming back to Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the room did not have a phone or blowdryer. Not very clean and room smelled.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was surprised how close this hotel was to downtown Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good deal, clean and close to the plaza"
We ordered the same day, and got three nice rooms beside each-other. We ordered late-checkout, but was still woken up at checkout. So confirm with reception when checking in! All in all we are satisfied with service and rooms. Only two blocks from Taos Plaza. Was a bit disappointed that there is really just one bar open in Taos: Alley-Cantina. Different […] music different nights, but full of happy dancing people the night we were there (Saturday). The Indian Hills is a good deal, not the most modern rooms, but clean and good enough..! "A good value"
This motel was adequate and a good value for the money. There were some issues with cleanliness, but the room was comfortable, and it was fairly close to the Plaza.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"middle price in an expensive town"
The manager was very helpful helping us locate some of the interesting things in Taos. The breakfast was lousy. waffles and baggels the bathroom was very small and the arrangement of the room was strange.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Based on the outer appearance, this is the ugliest motel I have ever stayed in. The stucco was crumbling all around, there were empty beer bottles on the perimeter of the building, old chairs with crumbling upholstery lined the balconies and the fire extinguisher wall box was missing the extinguisher. However, the room was not as gross as I thought […] it would have been. The carpet was newish and there were no weird smells (which I totally expected based on the outer appearance). I might stay here again for another very quick overnight but definitely not as any sort of base for a Taos/Northern NM trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was very nice. We had stayed there before and it was easy to get around town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was great; careful walking distance to the Plaza. The rooms were adequate for sleeping, not for spending time in. Pool looked nice. Breakfast was not worth bothering with.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was clean but the exterior of the buildings where we parked was pretty bad and needed upkeep. Room lacked a hair dreyer and an iron and board but loaners were supplied by the hotel. Also, the lobby closes early and we had trouble getting a hotel operator on the phone. Staff was extremely friendly but we would not stay their again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful stay! Service was great, room was nice and would definitely stay again if in area. The only downside was parking was behind hotel but had no problem with that and it appeared to be in safe area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good stay for the money"
Not super new but clean and convenient to Taos downtown, clean and comfortable. We'll stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not good at all. Room was dirty, fixtures broken, shower handle fell off. Should be avoidedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Curtains didnt close properly- had to use a twist tie to affect privacy and keep the light out. Shabby appearance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and not outrageously priced."
It's obviously an older motel, but has been kept up well. The staff is friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
This could be a nice property. It has potential charm but maintenance is lacking. Our room was banged up with major scrapes and markings in one area. The upholstered seats on the chairs for the small table were stained badly and the small refrigerator looked like something that was used in a college dorm for many years. On the outside the rooms face […] what could be a nice green space, if it was kept up. Our window looked out to a 55 gallon drum being used as a trash receptacle. Don't plan on eating breakfast here. This is the worst breakfast I have encountered in any motel in many years of travel. Selection consisted of oatmeal and bread which was pasty and gummy after toasting. "Dated and well-worn"
Very dated and well-worn furnishings. Room had a dirty feel to it. No water pressure in shower. Noisy bathroom fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
"An Embarrassment of a Hotel"
I am not a hotel snob but this place was in the shabbiest shape imaginable. The rooms need paint, the bathroom needed a complete overhaul, the curtains were falling off their hooks so would not close, the sheets were old and threadbare and the complimentary breakfast was not being restocked for guests or the tables and counters wiped up. There are weeds […] growing everywhere and the previous guests had written with sidewalk chalk all over the sidewalk all along our side of the building. Maybe the cleanup crew could have taken care of that while thinking about sweeping the dirty sidewalks! Obviously we will not be staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
This was a great place to stay, the rooms were very clean, nice and quiet you did not hear the people in the room next to you. The staff was extremly friendly. We are planning on going back in the future and will certainly book a room here again!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Last minute Taos discount rate"
Hotels.com showed a discount rate at the hotel, but the hotel was not very well kept. Sheets were stained, with possible bedbugs. It was empty too, and breakfast was a joke. Hated it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and friendly staff"
The staff is very friendly. The room was clean and you can't beat the location. The setting is beautiful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"close to town center"
A warm welcoming lobby, with good breakfast. Room was in need of repair/upgrade. Linens were very worn. Staff very nice anad helpful. OK for overnight because of location Old town within walking rangeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Desperate need for Renovation"
Great location, easy to find, but has not had needed maintenance in years. Carpet was old and dirty. Bedding was from the 80's. Mismatched furniture, an old empy TV cabinet just stuck in one corner with a table in front of it. You could tell it had been a very nice place about 20 years ago, but not much has been done since then.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Simple, quiet and near the center !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to all must see sights"
The hotel was easy to find, friendly service. Quiet and convenient to the main attractions in Taos. Was a little older--maybe could use a little sprucing up, but definitely comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Indian hills, Taos"
Terrific! Great location affordable price, friendly staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"More than happy"
with the accommodations, particularly at the price. The Continental Breakfast was rudimentary, which I expected. However, I appreciated the shelled and wrapped hard-boiled eggs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were on the top floor, didn't seem to be alot of peole staying that night but, we had neighbors that were very noisey, tv way to loud. Ran fan alnight to cover the noise. Carpet needed vacuming. Smelled strong of cigarette smoke. The front desk receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I would stay again but hope this helps.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Beds are soooo comfy. Cool picnic area out back w/ fire pit. Close to shopping & bars. Staff was awesome anything you need- just ask. Just a nice chill & friendly place. Even our "neighbors" had their doors open & were friendly. I will def be staying here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
good value regarding its location... Everything was good and comfortable. Breakfast is horrible though.Genuine Expedia guest review
"There are other options...."
Bad experience overall, mainly as a result of the very grumpy woman at the front desk who was not willing to help with my reservation problem. Far too many issues to outline here, but many of the items in the hotel did not work, even the maids had a bad attitude. Not worth the aggravation, stay somewhere else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Indian Hills Inn Taos Plaza"
I read the reviews before booking and did not have great expectations and planned only for using as a base point to check out Taos and go skiing. We were pleasantly surprised at the condition and cleanliness of the room, much better than expected. The breakfast was okay, nothing special but enough to get us going in the morning. The staff were pleasant […] and helpful, especially as we tried to determine what restaurants to try. I would definitely recommend this Inn and would stay here if we ever return to Taos. One morning, we were thinking to drive to Taos ski valley, and were worried regarding road conditions as snow was predicted, and we had no snow equipment. I decided to ask the reception. Answer was:"generally, the road is clear". I asked if today, there is a way to phone someone overthere to check. Answer was we can check online. This was not the image […] of service I have, even if it was right. We did not asked anything else. The first evenig, the receptionist was more helpfull and gave us info for parking and visiting Taos plaza, very close to the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Indian Hills Taos"
very big comfy bed, nice folks at the front desk, very quiet night's sleep, and a wee breakfast included too! Great place to stay at a good price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK if looking for cheaper place in Taos"
This hotel needs some work and upkeep, but it was reasonably clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Pillows were lumpy, bed was extra soft. Also, this hotel is NOT on the Taos plaza - it's close, but not on it. We were only there for one night, so it was fine for that. If you are staying longer, I would pick a different place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Go for it."
It was descent and served it's purpose. I would recommend it and probably stay there again when we travel with our pups. Not bad, not great.Genuine Expedia guest review
Just seemed like the hotel and room was in need of some maint. A price was a little too expensive for the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Indian Hills Inn"
We found the staff to be friendly, the room comfortable, and the rate reasonable. Our only problem was with the paper-thin walls; sleep eluded Friday night, due to noisy neighbors on each side (although even quiet neighbors would have been audible). Saturday night, neighborless, was delightful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"INdian Hill.. good value!"
hotel is kind of old!.. no refrigerator or microwave! have coffee maker.. Breakfast was really good! have good selection of bagels, breads, eggs, etc.... not bad ... location is convenient ... overall a good value hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review
Close to plaza, 30 minutes to Taos Ski Valley. Not a hotel to spend a lot of time in the room. Convenient and good enough for a base for outdoor activities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
