Daniel was extremely gracious and helpful during our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to sights. Bathroom especially the tub area needs to be updated or re-grouted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"amazing for the money"
Cozy little hotel with a great view of the mountainsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
given room price with respect to location, possibly best lodging value in Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had stayed here before because of location and price, but this will probably be our last. Housecleaning was poor, the sink didn't drain, sheets and blanket was old and the pillows need to be upgraded.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Room, but----"
For folks like us that did not bring our laptop and have no "smart phone", we had to use the "public" computer supplied in the lobby-----it was just painfully slow, froze up frequently and had to be rebooted constantly. The shampoo "packets" provided were contained a very minimul amount of shampoo. It really took two packets to get enough for one person. […] The room was nicly appointed in the Southwest style---exposed beams in the ceiling, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and Comfortable"
For the most part we were pleased. the room was clean and comforable. We were traveling with a son-in-law so we had a room with two beds. Two issues, no fan in the bathroom And when you turned the light on for the bathroom - the light over the vanity also came on, SOOOO - every time someone got up during the night it woke everyone up. Not very rest […] ful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Other reviews said this place was a bit dirty and unmaintained, so I was pleasantly surprised. Location can't be beat, price can't be beat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was our first time in Taos and the hotel was easy to find. Not much of a view to the courtyard because our window faced the stairwall. Yes we were on the second floor. Would have liked a ground level room. I will request that next time. All in all our stay here was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It seems that this hotels is relying completely on the proximity to the Taos Plaza. While the reception/check in area looked fairly updated the rooms themselves were not. Considering the price and the fact we stayed in a number of hotels over the summer to compare it to, the complimentary breakfast was also a disappointment. Definitely would not choose […] this place again next time we're in Taos. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"convenient location to Plaza"
Basic hotel with a very good location near the Plaza, rooms are basic but clean, breakfast is basicGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to plaza and sites."
I always stay here when in Taos. It's close to downtown. The staff is great. Would consider if you are looking for a budget motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was old, and bad maintened. Maybe we were particularlly unlucky, but the room nearby were occupied by people drinking beer, and one of them was throwing up. Convenient location, but very depressing place. We decided to change hotel the same night. Not a good place for families.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Basic, inexpensive motel in need of updating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay for a low price"
We stayed at Indian Hills for a couple of nights and the inn has many positives and a few negatives. First, the staff was great, helpful and happy to serve. Second, the beds (queens) were very comfortable, better than most chain hotels even. Third, the location was nice, walking distance to food and shops. Fourth the outdoor space was nice also. Plenty […] of room to relax outside in a large yard. The down side is the inn is old and showing its age. If you are looking for posh, this is not it. Bathrooms are small. The rooms are a little dark and the outside of the inn needs some work and a little liter removal. If you would like a cheap, comfortable, friendly place to stay this is it. If you want a posh resort keep going. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stay at this hotel a few times a year. The service and rooms have always been excellent. I ride a motorcycle and they let me park it iin the grass in front of my room. I highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place & very well located"
Charming hotel, with very good service, nice amenities - garden & pool. Good location, possible to go anywhere in town by foot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location near square"
This is a cute little hotel, within walking distance of the square, grocery stores, a laundromat and several good restaurants. It was clean and the employees were very nice. They have breakfast each day, bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt etc. This place could be so nice if they would fix it up; needs a lot of TLC and maintenance. Pool is large and very […] clean. Nice yard in back but needs to be cleaned up. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great for the family"
My stay here was wonderful. When I booked my room, i booked a room with 2 queen beds, when my hita and I got there they were all booked, so managment gave us 2 king size suites. It was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
ROOM WAS NICE, CLEAN, WELL-KEPT & CLEAN. THE GROUNDS HAD NOT BEEN MAINTAINED IN YEARS, WHICH MADE OUR STAY RATHER UNCOMFORTABLE!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right by Taos Plaza."
Ok Motel. The bed spread wasn't nice but it is a pretty good place to stay. Rates are pretty reasonable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor choice of accomodations"
Extremely disappointed!!! Unclean small rooms I would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the best, but not the worst"
We had an ok stay at the Indian Hills in Taos, NM. The beds were comfortable and our room was fairly clean. Also, the room was cold which I didn't mind. The only problem I had was that the bathroom was dirty and the shower handle kept falling off. Also, I thought about taking an afternoon swim, but the pool was filthy. I honestly believe the rivers […] in the mountains were cleaner than the pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Did you like the 50's?"
A blast from the past. Same fixtures, same paint, maybe even the same dust in the corners. Daniel was a bright spot and one of the reasons the rating is not a 1 star. Someone was kind enough to teepee the car next to mine in the parking lot and decorate mine with beer cans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"dont stay here"
The morning person was very grumpy when asked for plates for the breakfast area. He slammed out of the office and went across the street to buy them. The building needs a lot of clean up and there were weeds in the parking lot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay at the Indian Hills Plaza. The rooms were really clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. It is located so close to great shopping and galleries. We will stay here again when we come back to Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I was surprised how close this hotel was to downtown Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good deal, clean and close to the plaza"
We ordered the same day, and got three nice rooms beside each-other. We ordered late-checkout, but was still woken up at checkout. So confirm with reception when checking in! All in all we are satisfied with service and rooms. Only two blocks from Taos Plaza. Was a bit disappointed that there is really just one bar open in Taos: Alley-Cantina. Different […] music different nights, but full of happy dancing people the night we were there (Saturday). The Indian Hills is a good deal, not the most modern rooms, but clean and good enough..! "A good value"
This motel was adequate and a good value for the money. There were some issues with cleanliness, but the room was comfortable, and it was fairly close to the Plaza.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"middle price in an expensive town"
The manager was very helpful helping us locate some of the interesting things in Taos. The breakfast was lousy. waffles and baggels the bathroom was very small and the arrangement of the room was strange.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Based on the outer appearance, this is the ugliest motel I have ever stayed in. The stucco was crumbling all around, there were empty beer bottles on the perimeter of the building, old chairs with crumbling upholstery lined the balconies and the fire extinguisher wall box was missing the extinguisher. However, the room was not as gross as I thought […] it would have been. The carpet was newish and there were no weird smells (which I totally expected based on the outer appearance). I might stay here again for another very quick overnight but definitely not as any sort of base for a Taos/Northern NM trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was very nice. We had stayed there before and it was easy to get around town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was great; careful walking distance to the Plaza. The rooms were adequate for sleeping, not for spending time in. Pool looked nice. Breakfast was not worth bothering with.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was clean but the exterior of the buildings where we parked was pretty bad and needed upkeep. Room lacked a hair dreyer and an iron and board but loaners were supplied by the hotel. Also, the lobby closes early and we had trouble getting a hotel operator on the phone. Staff was extremely friendly but we would not stay their again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful stay! Service was great, room was nice and would definitely stay again if in area. The only downside was parking was behind hotel but had no problem with that and it appeared to be in safe area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good stay for the money"
Not super new but clean and convenient to Taos downtown, clean and comfortable. We'll stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not good at all. Room was dirty, fixtures broken, shower handle fell off. Should be avoidedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Curtains didnt close properly- had to use a twist tie to affect privacy and keep the light out. Shabby appearance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and not outrageously priced."
It's obviously an older motel, but has been kept up well. The staff is friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
This could be a nice property. It has potential charm but maintenance is lacking. Our room was banged up with major scrapes and markings in one area. The upholstered seats on the chairs for the small table were stained badly and the small refrigerator looked like something that was used in a college dorm for many years. On the outside the rooms face […] what could be a nice green space, if it was kept up. Our window looked out to a 55 gallon drum being used as a trash receptacle. Don't plan on eating breakfast here. This is the worst breakfast I have encountered in any motel in many years of travel. Selection consisted of oatmeal and bread which was pasty and gummy after toasting. "Dated and well-worn"
Very dated and well-worn furnishings. Room had a dirty feel to it. No water pressure in shower. Noisy bathroom fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
"An Embarrassment of a Hotel"
I am not a hotel snob but this place was in the shabbiest shape imaginable. The rooms need paint, the bathroom needed a complete overhaul, the curtains were falling off their hooks so would not close, the sheets were old and threadbare and the complimentary breakfast was not being restocked for guests or the tables and counters wiped up. There are weeds […] growing everywhere and the previous guests had written with sidewalk chalk all over the sidewalk all along our side of the building. Maybe the cleanup crew could have taken care of that while thinking about sweeping the dirty sidewalks! Obviously we will not be staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
This was a great place to stay, the rooms were very clean, nice and quiet you did not hear the people in the room next to you. The staff was extremly friendly. We are planning on going back in the future and will certainly book a room here again!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Last minute Taos discount rate"
Hotels.com showed a discount rate at the hotel, but the hotel was not very well kept. Sheets were stained, with possible bedbugs. It was empty too, and breakfast was a joke. Hated it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and friendly staff"
The staff is very friendly. The room was clean and you can't beat the location. The setting is beautiful.Genuine Expedia guest review
