The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not lavish, but more than sufficient. The motel was a bit off the main drag, but that was fine since it was still close by, but not congested with a lot of traffic. I can very much recommend the Hanging Lake for any stay.

The Hanging Lake Inn is a great place to stay in Glenwood Springs. The most important quality of any hotel is cleanliness - this hotel deserves 5 stars in that category. It is close to the hot springs pool and to Glenwood's restaurants (although requires a drive). The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. The only negative category is noise from […] the highway. Hanging Lake Inn is a wonderful place to stay and very affordable. The room was extremely clean, the staff were kind and the continental breakfast was awesome. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are extremely comfortable. Don't waste money with a chain hotel.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised from my 3 night stay at Hanging Lake Inn. For an older establishment, it was kept very well. Like all the other posts mentioned, the beds are amazing. The service was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly. What was awesome: the bed, very fresh water (if you come from a city with bad city […] water, you'll love it!), headed lamps in the bathroom, very clean. What was ok: water pressure in the shower kinda sucked, it's older (doors and windows not as efficient as they could be), right off the highway (noisy at night), TV & microwave & fridge were old. None the less this is an amazing place to stay in Glenwood for the price. If you're perfectly happy with just accepting your room is to sleep and shower, this is the place for you. My stay was fine, but it took me a bit to figure out which motel to go to considering there was no sign indicating the new name. When I arrived, I waited 10 minutes before someone came to the front desk for me to check in. The room was fine though and not far from the city center.

Only thing to say is you should stay here if in the Gleenwood Springs area. Nice location with a great view. Mike and Monica run a very nice property and, at least from my experience, attempt to back it as personal and friendly as possible. We enjoyed our two night stay on the extremely comfortable mattress in the very clean room (with the exception of a very cold bathroom floor) and would still recommend the hotel as long as you bring bedroom slippers. The hotel was quite adorable. I stood on the long covered porch and thought I could be in an English setting for one of the Poirot episodes. A long veranda with white columns, red painted doors striking against the white painted building with black trim. Room was clean, bed was so comfortable with great bedding and comforter. The beds at this hotel are super comfortable. It was quiet and we slept really well. The staff is super nice and they gave us some great pointers for places to snowboard while we were there. This place was great for the money! Very clean and comfortable. Small shower. My only real complaint is that we heard a ticking noise all night and could not find anything in the room that was causing it. Don't know if it was coming through the walls or what.

Reasonable rates, very clean and quiet motel. If you go, the hotel does not have "Hanging Lake" in its outside sign. They still have their old sign outside, "America's Best Value" is on it, so, go by the address, not the sign.

The hotel was convenient to get to, although you still had to drive to get to town. The rooms had recently been remodeled, were very clean, larger than I had expected and again we didn't go with the absolute lowest cost room, and has new owners.
