Our room smelled like cat urine. The housekeepers go home early, so if you're not out of your room by noon, don't expect it cleaned. The carpeted floor right outside the bathroom was wet. The last day we were there I had to go to the lobby to get toilet paper! The internet was free, but did not work well. Overall, it was a waste of money.

Me and my husband were totally not satisfied with the hotel. When we walked in there was no room to walk. We turned on the air conditioner left it running for about 30 mins didnt feel a difference. So we decided to go out and when we get back it should be cool. Well we were wrong. My husband had to open up the unit (which we didnt think it would actually open like it did) That made somewhat of a difference. The carpet felt dirty when you walked on it. The only thing I can say we liked about the hotel was the bed it was more comfortable then others we slept in.

We got the business room with a king bed, which was the same price as the regular room with a king bed. It was great cause we didn't feel so confined as in a regular room. Our room had a microwave, frig and coffee maker which is a big plus for us. We went for a walk in the neighborhood, for exercise, and felt safe and the surroundings were pleasant with a lot of trees and greenery. The breakfast was as expected, fresh waffles, bagels, sweet rolls, muffins, various cereals, apples... Staff was pleasant.

I was very pleasantly surprised! I was aiming for a very inexpensive hotel close to SDSU, and was not willing to pay for any amenities I knew I wouldn't have time to enjoy. So although my expectations weren't high to begin with, this hotel exceeded them. Nice (small) pool, fridge and microwave in the room, free breakfast (with waffles!) in the lobby, and the price was right!

The hotel was bare bones, but clean and met my needs. I was in town for a football game, and the hotel was a great location to the stadium, and downtown San Diego was easily accessible via car. We were really only in the room to sleep, and that was quite comfortable. I would recommend the place, but it is certainly bare bones.

The beds were surprising comfortable for hotel beds! However, the room was so small that there was barely room to walk around the beds. The bathroom was super small too. Breakfast included a waffle iron to make your own waffles, but the staff was not very quick to keep breakfast stocked. We had to ask them when things needed replenished. They also didn't have anyone who kept the breakfast area clean during breakfast.

We checked out a two queen bed room and when we arrived we were very tired. We didn't notice that there was a very large leak in the ceiling above the shower. It was bandaged with a laundry bag and tape. We went to the front desk to see if we could get another room or at least shower in a vacant room. The front desk apologized for the inconvenience and gave us a new two queen room almost imediately.

Hotel was older. Rooms small but comfortable. It seemed to be in a safer neighborhood than others I have stayed at in the area. Good place to sleep at if you are planning to spend your days at the area attractions. If you are hoping to lounge in comfort...it is not a resort...you will need to pull out your wallet and go somewhere else.

The bed was too large for the size of the room. You could not get around the bed to the kitchen area things. It also smelled like it had been a smoking room and was now a non-smoking room. The worst part was the front desk clerk who was not very competent. I informed him that I was expecting an overnight letter the next day and then he refused it. He did not even check the spelling of the package name against the overnight - totally got a wrong name. Then when I called him he said one had not come. It then took me several hours and calls to stop the package from being returned.
