"City Hotel - Rovaniemi"
Stayed for 5 nights, last week of Nov. Found Hotel very convenient to most locations including local eateries, bars, shops, and tourist attractions. Bus stop just 3/5 min walk away, which takes you to the major places in Rovaniemi. Found all staff very helpful and friendly. would recommend an upgrade to a large room if possible, overall size of standard […] rooms just a little cramped if staying for longer than 3 nights. Booked as bed and breakfast, and the food every morning was top quality, you would have to be very fussy to find fault with it. On the negative side, evening meals were very expensive, if travelling with a family would advise trying the local cafes. A good plus ,was free access to the internet ie a couple of monitors & keyboards in the lounge. This was also the first hotel that after 40 years of travelling, did not supply kettle/tea/coffee in your room. apart from that, would return or recommend. Read more

City Hotel is an excellent choice. Its location in the city center provides easy access to the train station, airport, attractions, and shopping. The staff is kind, courteous, and helpful. The Hotel offers free continental breakfast. This is not your typical coffee, juice, muffin and fruit breakfast. It is a full spread with bacon, sausages, cold cuts, […] smoked salmon, two types of eggs, finnish pancakes, nine varieties of bread, an assortment of fruits, cheeses, vegetables, cereals, pastries, juices, jams and spreads. The rooms are small but well appointed. They have contemporary styling, free WiFi, a safe, comfortable beds (I'm 6'3" / 190cm) and a private bathroom with shower. Shopping is just outside the hotel. There is a mall across the street from the hotel and another just a few blocks away. In addition to the malls, there are plenty of small shops to explore. Getting to Santa's Village and the Arctic Circle marker is easy. There is a shuttle that leaves every hour for the Santa's Village and Safari. The shuttle stops one block away from the hotel. The City Hotel is in central Rovaniemi, walking distance to the Arctic Centre, shopping centre and the river. It was 30C while we were there and the hotel is not air conditioned, only one small window opened and it was hard to sleep. That said, it is not often 30C at the Arctic Circle. "Lovely and quiet"
The location could not be better and the front desk was very helpful. The room was comfortably spacious and the breakfast was very decent. I wil definitely recommend.

bon accueil; petit déjeuner excellent. Le serveur du restaurant lors des repas du soir est quelque peu envahissant, pas très professionnel et la cuisine n'est pas aussi prometteuse qu'annoncée sur le site. Ma chambre était grande et agréable.

"Erinomainen hotelli Rovaniemellä."
Ystävällinen henkilökunta sekä mukava, kodikas tunnelma. Hyvät ja siistit huoneet. Sijainti varsin rauhallisella paikalla keskellä Rovaniemeä. Erinomainen aamiainen; kaikki hyvää, enkä keksi mitään puutteita. Hotellin yhteydessä todella tasokas ravintola. Olen yöpynyt hotellista useita kertoja.

Vaikea keksiä mitään negatiivista tästä hotellista. Siistit huoneet, hyvä sijainti ja hyvä aamiainen.

Hotelli sijoittui mainiosti keskustan tuntumaan. Kaikki palvelut olivat lähellä. Kaikin puolin toimiva hotelli ja aamupalakin oli mainio. Jos miinuksia etsii niin yhteispalvelutietokoneet olivat onnettoman hitaita ja toimimattomia sekä majoittumisemme yhteydessä tehtiin yläkerran tms. huoneessa muutostöitä, joista aamuisin saattoi kuulua pieniä työskentelyääniä, […] mutta mitkä eivät varsinaisesti olleet häiriöksi... Huomioitu motoristit. Oli merkattu parkki tai si viedä katokseen ja oli pesumahdollisuus. Aamiainen oli runsas ja HYVÄ!

Ilmastointia ei vissiin ole. Kauhean kuumat huoneet.

Ulkona ei ollut helle, mutta huone oli järisyttävän lämmin. Mittari näytti sisälämpötilaksi 28. Tuuletin oli kovaääninen, auki oleva ikkuna ei tuonut helpotusta. Huone suht siisti, lattia tuntui paljaisiin jalkoihin hieman likaiselta. Perus-aamupala, ei mitään yllättävää. En osaa eritellä miksi, mutta en menisi uudestaan. Todella hyvä hotelli ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Ainoana miinuksena huoneen kuumuus, ilmastointi ei ole paras mahdollinen ainoastaan pöytä tuuletin joka ei tuonut tarvittavaa viileyttä kuumaan huoneeseen, kun ulkona oli +30 lämmintä.

hotellihuoneen siisteys oli arvosanalla heikko. lapsikin totesi ensimmäisenä "ettei täällä ole siivottu". Meteli (ulkoa tuleva) oli häiritsevää. Huoneiden ilmastoinnissa olisi kesäaikaan toivomisen varaa. kuuma! Sijainti hyvä. Vaivaton liikkua eri paikkoihin.

部屋に入ると目に入るベッドの上のトナカイのぬいぐるみ。 かわいらしいと思いつつ手に取ると首のタグには１８エウロのタグが。 商売上手だなあとか思いつつもそんなに鼻につかないユニークな感じ。 お部屋はとてもきれいで快適。ホテルの近くに小さなスーパーやキオスキもあって便利です。 朝ごはんがものすごく充実しているので、特にお勧めです。 １８エウロちゃんはつれて帰りました。かわいいです。

"Veldig fint hotell"
Alt var helt topp. Kjempebra hotell og beliggenhet. Det eneste problemet var at det ikke fantes muligheter for ventilasjon og gjennomlufting på rommene. Rommet holdt 32 grader på natten, og det var en lidelse. Tydelig at det er tenkt som et vinterhotell og ikke et sommerhotell. Betjeningen var behjelpelige med å skaffe vifte.

the only prob was very hard to find and I suggest go by TAXI.....last time I take 45mins by walk fm train station to the hotel.......except this issue, everything fine!!
Lapin pääkaupunki. Olen aina pitänyt Rovaniemestä. Keskustassa. Nähtävyydet lähellä. Talviurheilu. Kesällä kauniit maisemat lähellä. Arktikum.

"sentralt beliggende hotell"
blid og hyggelig betjening, nydelig frokost, grei parkering. Maten på restauranten Monte Rosa var helt nydelig. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

Had trouble sleeping due to really loud music and chattering at a nearby pub!and we tried shutting the windows! that didn´t make the sound go away, and made it even warmer. maybe we were unlucky with our room position. the beds are good and it was a really good breakfast!:) it was cheap so i guess one should cope with the noise!

Hotellet ligger mitt i stan och är nära till allt. Sängen var skön och badrummet fräscht. Servicen var bra. Frukostbuffén var lyxig och fylldes på hela tiden. Sov väldigt gott och rekommenderar varmt.
