The hotel is very comfortable and nicely decorated. It is well in tune with the colonial style and atmosphere of the city. There is not too many rooms so I felt almost like I had the place for myself. The staff was helpful, the breakfast was good, it was a really a good experience. You can find cheaper accommodation in Antigua but too me it was well worth the price for a nice break in my otherwise rudimentary trip in Guatemala. Note that the hotel is located at the end of Antigua’s main street so you have to walk 5 to 10 minutes up that street to get to Parque Central and the city center. Otherwise you can easily grab a tuk-tuk (auto rickshaw) in front of the hotel.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Casa Encantad, the beds were really comfortable, the hotel beautiful and well kept. the only suggestion would be to place a ceiling fan on the back right hand side bedroom.

This hotel is great for the most part: great location in Zona Viva, several nice restaurants conveniently located in the hotel, extremely comfortable... bed, great water pressure in the hotel. My only complaint is that the internet is fine in the lobby and first floor restaurants but in my 9th floor room it was terrible; 2 bars, impossible to make calls on Skype there. I usually stay at the competition hotel in the Zona Viva, they are all very close by. The Intercontinental is one of the newest and more complete hotels, with great variety of inside restaurants.

We stayed at the IC hotel just prior to leaving Guatemala because it was near the airport. It was, by far, our best hotel-stay while in Guatemala. The bed was extremely comfortable and the service was great... an awesome way to end a very good trip.

Guatemala has a lot of hotel options, but this one in zona 10 is the best option for high standard traveler and prices are really good for what you receive.

Lo unico reprochable es que no repetan las condiciones de la reserva. Slicite habitación con cama king y no fumadores y me dieron con dos camas o en fumadores. Y me dicen es lo que hay y mi reserva era prepagada. De no ser por esto me hubiera ido a otro hotel

In general this is a great hotel to stay. The staff is knowable and you can feel they want you to feel at home. The room was very nice with a fantstic bed and bath. Great breakfast and sushi restaurant. My only suggestion is to have free wifi at least in the lobby, this is very critical for business travelers, For an Intercontinental 4-5 stars hotel […] I found this situation very anoying.
