The staff at this hotel is exceptionally nice, but this property, in a somewhat economically challenged area of San Diego, needs some maintenance. If cheap is what you're after, this is the hotel for you. I will make one small recommendation for the Mexican restaurant next store -- I think it's called Casa Machado. The margaritas were great and the food was excellent and fairly priced. Eat there, but you might want to stay somewhere else.

bath tub was broken, we asked to give us different room, we were told that all rooms are booked. The young boy at the front desk was only person available to talk to, he said that he could not leave his place and go to the room to check it, his manger would come in the morning to look at it. He refused to give us refund and told to contact hotels.com. we had to walk out. no refund given to us.

management was concerned with our level of comfort and did switch our room however; problems with mildew scent, wet towels and extremely hard mattress were disappointing.

It isn't fancy, but the hotel provides a good room with all necessary amenities at a good price. I particularly liked the breakfast, again, nothing fancy, but certainly adequate, and the wifi internet connection.

THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND THE ROOM WAS GENERALY CLEAN EXCEPT THE ROOM NEEDS MAINTENANCE. WALLS WERE CRACKED AND THE CARPETS WERE REALLY STAINED.

Condition of hotel was very bad. Consider staying next door at Best Western. Look in much better condition.

Was surprised by how clean and comfortable the room was, especially how clean it smelled; you can tell a lot by the fragance, truly clean. The hotel looks a little tired but it didn't show in the comfort of the room or the courtesy of the personnel.

The hotel was not up to our expectations at all. We had to ask three times for an additional blanket, then, when it came, it was splattered with paint. Once night fell, we turned on the lamps near the beds, and neither were plugged in to the wall (which had no cover plates). Once the lamps were plugged in, one of them sparked, sputtered, and a plume of smoke arose from it. THe bulb was broken! as if that wasn't enough, the bulb was a compact flourescent, so we got a mouth full of toxins. Whatever I read on the reviews before wasn't tnough to scare me away, but had I known this, I wouldn't have booked it at all.

room was small, floors and bed seemed clean, high part of walls had cobwebs. tried charging two things on same outlet and couldn't(camra, phone),only one other outlet by sink did not want them to get wet. Pool was not heated. Brekfast was coffee,juice, danishes, and cereal.

The room stinks and the carpet is too old, you cannot even walk with your barefoot. Needs total renovation.........

This hotel had flies in it that were extremely annoying. The pool was too small. It was not worth the price I paid when there are better hotels near it that also serve full breakfasts.
