Friendly, competent staff, beautiful public spaces, great location if you're attending a conference at the Washington Convention Center. Room was a bit dated, had no safe or fridge, merely adequate bathroom.

"Great family vacation"
Perfect for our family of four. 2-3 blocks from the metro, but close enough to the mall for walk. Meals at the hotel were a huge plus.

We had a great experience at the Homewood Suites in DC. It's a very nice hotel, our room was comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area. We enjoyed the variety of food available at the breakfast every morning. The only negatives of our stay were the walk to the nearest Metro station and the dry air in the […] rooms (I think this is true of all hotels though, especially in the winter). The nearest Metro station was about a 10 minute walk, not a problem in nice weather but we were there in late February and the mornings were quite chilly. Everything was perfect, the valet parking is $33.00 a night though, but hey, I guess I understand with the terrible traffic in DC.

"Great place in D.C."
Our family stayed at the Home wood Suites by Hilton in downtown Washington D.C. for the New Year's holiday. It was a perfect experience! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the surroundings. We never had to take our car out of vallay parking. Everything you want to see is in walking distance. I would stay there again anytime!

20-minute or so walk to major attractions at the national mall. Great neighborhood with many nearby dining options. Or, if you want to really take advantage of the meal savings, you can do the "manager's reception" which is a complimentary dinner (evening's entree is posted on the fridge in your room) with free wine and beer! My overall stay was great. Hotel staff was super friendly and our rooms were very clean. Housekeeper even put a load of dishes in the dishwasher while we were out! The view from the room wasn't too good but if that doesn't bother you, you won't regret staying here. "The Homewood Suites in DC"
I was very impressed with the people who staffed the front desk. They were friendly and helpful and even called my room to see if I was comfortable. The wi-fi worked great. I will stay there again when I go to DC and recommend it highly.
Staff very responsive & helpful; location very good. Only problem with room was the handicap accessible shower (which we did not need or request) which drained onto & flooded bathroom. Solution was a roll of towels as barrier to soak it up.

It was wonderful to start out each day with breakfast and come back to dinner! The only thing I wish we had was a pool or hot tub to relax in...but Washington DC had so many places to see, we really didn't have time. Thanks for the great stay!

Great stay, freindly staff, valet parking was great, easy checkout. We walked to everything. 20 min. walk to mall. At the end of day, we took cab back to hotel. First night, the cab ride was 8 dollars. The second night, from the same location, the cab ride was 22 dollars. We noticed on the second cab ride the cabbie, kept hitting his meter untill it […] said 12 when we got in. This hotel was very nice. Excellent for long stays. Free breakfast but I did not really care for the selections. Location is perfect and in the middle of a few different neighborhoods.

Our family of four was comfortable enough in the suite. The daily breakfast was at times very crowded, but we all left satisfied. "Very Good Breakfast and evening meal"
The daily free hot breakfast is excellent - a wide selection of hot and cold food, which will help save you a lot of money. They offer a light evening meal M-Th nights, which is also quite good. The only negatives I would say are the high parking fees, which appear to be the same all over the city, and it is valet parking only. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 6 days visiting DC. We enjoyed the hotel's location, morning breakfast, and Monday-Thursay dinner, which is a great savings for a family in DC. The hotel is in walking distance of most things you want to visit in DC, but also close to Metro stations. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

If you intend to use the sofa bed, you might want to reconsider. When I opened it to put the sheets on it, I closed it right back up again and slept on the couch, covered with the sheet. Really poor mattress...needs to be replaced. We stayed here during the Cherry Blossom Festival and were very impressed by this hotel. We were especially happy with the location. We walked to the White House, it was just blocks away. Great place to stay. Visiting family in DC, so they led us around. McPherson Metra stop about 2 blocks away. Great location and great ammenities. Wonderful "welcome home" meal with beer and wine M-Th, and daily breakfast...yum! Convenient coin laundry. Small exercise room with nice equipment! Cheerful, helpful staff. After 5 hotel stays in the USA over 3 weeks, this was the best. We were unaware of the included evening meal and were pleasantly surprised. Mass. Ave. in DC was perfect. Close to everything. A suite is great for my early rising hubby. Ample breakfast, even fresh blueberries & cream. Light supper provided on week nights was amazing- included beer & wine!
nice stay, all good! the staff was not particularly friendly, but it was okay. the room was big and comfortable. the breakfast was plenty, as a European I was just very shocked that most plates, cutlery and cups are plastic and thrown out after use, but I guess that's just the US.

Staff and location were perfect for our trip. However, the hair dryer did not work, the beds were very soft and the toilet stopped up on the second day. Icemaker was not on (we had to lower the arm to start filling the ice bucket - but the front desk sent up a bucket of ice while we waited.) Breakfast was plentiful but eggs and bacon were tasteless. I chose this hotel because it advertised parking. I arrived to the hotel late after a day in DC and was told the parking lot was full. i had inquired about the parking when I checked in but was never told it was first come first served. They told me I could try to park at a nearby hotel. Spacious room for family of 5 with three active boys. Staff at breakfast was very helpful and spent time talking with the kids. Front desk provided great dinner choice for a busy Friday night

This is a great hotel for either family or business travel. Great location. Only drawback is parking price, but not outrageous for DC
Great for families. Good breakfast, and the evening "social" is good food Mon - Thurs. Perfect for a family on a budget. Staff was very polite and eager to help. Highly recommended.
