"Hotel Staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 30, 2012
Found all staff to be very friendly and helpful.
"Good place to stay at... if you don't need WiFi"Reviewed by Karen of "Edmonton" on Jan 30, 2012
Hotel is close to boutique shops and restaurants. The front desk catered to my requests without any problem, such as a room with a city view (facing Robson street - don't request this if you like having your window open while you sleep). Enjoyed the heated floor in the bathroom. I did not use the parking facility, but it's right beside the hotel. Tip: if you want to use the hotel's internet, you have to bring a small laptop that has a internet port. I'd stay in this hotel when I come back to Vancouver.
"Super 8 in Langley"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 30, 2012
if you don't mind frequent trains passing by, (tracks across the street from hotel front door) this was a really nice place to stay. Beds very comfortable, rooms very clean.

"sandman vancouver city centre"Reviewed by Derek of "Vancouver Isalnd" on Jan 30, 2012
Good hotel for the price; convenient for all the the places we wanted to go in downtown Vancouver. Our request for a room change was dealt with efficiently and courteously. Only negative was the high level of late night street noise; the windows in our 8th floor room didn't provide much sound insulation. Would stay there again - with ear plugs.

"Parking warning"
This deal did not come with free parking or any mention of the cost. Parking turned out to be $40.00 per day. There is cheaper parking in the vacinity if you look around. Other than that this hotel is hard to beat. The Fairmont Pacific Rim is a little newer and swankier.
"Waterfront Vancouver"
Awesome new hotel. Staff very profession and curious. The in house restaurant is outstanding and the prices are right. I had a $300 meal with friends there that I thought was going to be $500! There was limited hot water in my room but that problem was solved in a matter of a few hours with out me having to mention.

"Great Hotel"
Great hotel, location and service. We would especially recommend the breakfast buffet. Our package included breakfast and we were blown away by the service and quality of food. Can't beat a Fairmont Hotel!
"Waterfront restaurant"
Love the hotel - we've stopped going to the restaurant as the food ain't what it used to be.

"Overall pretty good - but expensive"
Overall our experience was as expected with a Fairmont hotel. One issue that bothered us was the general expense of most items in the hotel. We had to laugh when the 'Share plate for Two' came with: 2 prawns; 2 chicken satay; and 2 oysters - for $20. We can almost understand overcharging for standard cocktails, etc but that was pretty much the icing […] on the cake. We felt a sense of 'nickel and diming' that came to bother us a bit when you pay premium $$$ for a quality hotel (i.e. $7.50 for a bottle of water in the room). Read more
"Not fancy, but nice"
Was somehow expecting more lavishness. All in all, good hotel, very receptive service people. No fan in bathroom which for comfort reasons, bothered me. Also I wondered how they deal with moisture if there is not fan. Not my concern, but still. Kitchen open 24/7 which was an unexpected surprise. Really, super comfy beds (I'm a B&B owner so I know beds). […] the rooms were just average, nothing exceptional. Beautiful view, very quite, gorgeous lobby, very attentive curb side valets. Decent Heron restauarant (be sure to order the Yaletown Ice tea). Read more
"Fantastic in all but one respect"
This hotel has it all -- location, view, convenience, comfort, courteous and professional service, etc. The one issue is that it seems to be too popular! There was a long line to check in (around 1:30 pm), and since the room wasn't ready, I had to leave my bags with the baggage room (for which there was a line). I went to the lobby restaurant to have […] a meal and wait it out, and the service was slow (only one server on duty for too many people). The room was supposed to be ready by the check-in time of 3 pm, but in fact was not ready until nearly 4 pm. The staff seemed to be working both hard and efficiently, but was just overwhelmed by the volume of work at what was evidently a peak time. Nevertheless, one does not expect this is a hotel of this calibre. Let me stress again that in every other way, this was an excellent hotel stay! Read more

"Stay at the Fairmont Waterfront"
A fantastic location!!! Beautiful view, comfortable bed, clean room. My only complaint would be that our room was quite dated. Bright pink/peach decor and furnishings with a variety of furniture styles. I felt a little stuck in the 80's... But otherwise, the view and location made up for it and would stay here again :)

"As good as expected for the cost!"
Everything was just fine including the breakfast food and service. The only thing we had a slight issue with was the check in. Not a fair system of lining up and not very efficient.

"Beautiful,Kindness,comfortable"
I stayed 4days. this hotel located center of downtown. i could go anywhere! Hotel mens were very kind and nice. And,Bacchus resutaurant is so nice!
"Not Great"
Was expecting much more from a Fairmont. Rooms looked bland like a Hilton, lobby was unimpressive and wireless situation was awful. Hotel charges $25.00 per night for WiFi which didn't work half of the time. Wouldn't go back here.

"Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver, BC is SUPERB"
From the postcard-like view, to the staff, to the hotel's close proximity to everything...this hotel is truly world class.

"The Fairmone Waterfront Vancouver - Amazing Staff"
I must say that the staff (especially the front desk team) went above and beyond the norm for my entire stay. After only a couple of days, there were several people who knew my name and many others knew me by sight. It made my stay that much more comfortable and I will be booking there again on a future trip.

"My dogs LOVED it!!! And so did we..."
Best dog hotel I've been too. Everyone was super nice to our beloved pooches. They were catered to like queens, from the front desk to the valet. The parking was a bit expensive, but if you are worried about price, you can park across the street at the convention center for half the price. There was also a lot of open street parking that is free from […] 10PM to 9AM. Read more
"Fairmont Waterfront"
One of the three best hotels in which we have stayed over the past two years. (Others:Monasterio in Peru and Bayerischer Hof in Munich) Room, service and dining were superb. Hotel is walking distance to Gastown, parks and waterfront. The gold is definitely worth the upcharge for the included breakfast, rooftop lounge with puu puu's and honor bar and […] private concierge service. The hotel is directly accross the street from the cruise terminal. Bell service delivered our luggage to the cruise line which made embarkation a lot easier. The Fairmont Pacific Rim just down the street is reported to be be the better of the two. We may try it next time, but the Waterfront made for a very nice stay. Read more

"Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver Great place to stay"
This is the 3rd time staying at this hotel with my family. My son who is 7 asked personally if we could stay here and well there isn't any other place i would choose to stay at. The staff is great and the room is awesome. We stayed at the gold club level and that is a great way to do it. Saves us time and money on food. They provide a happy hour and […] breakfast for their guests. The location is ideal as well as its surrounded by many shops and restaurants. If anyone were to ask me where to stay i would recommend this place every time. Read more
"Fairmont Waterfront Hotel - great location"
We had two overnight stays at the hotel during our recent visit to Vancouver and each time found the hotel welcoming, very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
"Fairmont Waterfront - convenient for cruisers"
We stayed one night after an Alaska cruise. Location is just across the street from the cruise ships dock. Also within walking distance of Gastown and downtown shopping. Room size and cleanliness excellent, as to be expected in this hotel category. Beds slightly small for 4 people (we traveled with 2 children), but OK for one night. Staff helpful and […] knowledgeable. It was possible to discuss pros and cons of SkyTrain vs. Taxi to airport with the concierge. (At 4-star hotels in other cities we have gotten the answer "we'll organize a limo service for you" as the only way to get to the airport.) Read more
"disappointed"
Upon arriving to the hotel and checking in, I had requested a room with view that had either a king or two double beds. However, I was offered neither of those, but instead was told I could have a twin or there was one room with a queen left that was non-smoking. I was highly disappointed that I was not given what I requested. In fact, nothing I requested […] was given except the non-smoking room. The room didn't even have room for a roll-away because there was no space. For the amount of money I forked out for what was supposed to be a 4.5 to 5 star hotel, I would NOT recommend staying here. I felt I stayed a better places for a lesser price in downtown Vancouver before. HIGHLY disappointed. Read more
"Absolutely Great!"
Just got off the Diamond Princess, walked across the street and there was our Hotel! Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready as it was 8:30 AM, but they graciously took our luggage and phone number and called when the room was ready. There's a beautiful pool and roof gardens that look out over the water and the city. The concierge gave us excellent info […] about tours and where to dine. The location couldn't be better as you can walk to Gastown and many restaurants and many of the tours pick-up or drop-off across the street. It's also very close to shopping. The room itself was very comfortable and our two teens (one on a pull-out) were VERY happy with the TV and room service. We'd definitely stay here again! Read more
