The Westin Poinsett is right downtown, an easy walk to just about anywhere one wants to go downtown. There are many places to eat nearby as well as in the hotel, and it is both safe and interesting to walk the main streets. The exercise room is large and well-equipped. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a bathroom counter top that is right for a short grandmother like me.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton inn, room was clean, bed comfy, gym equipment was in good working order and breakfast was good, we will definitely stay again when our plans are to visit.

Excellent and very friendly. I had been booked into another hotel that was literally a dump! I was relieved when my daughter made the arrangements via... phone for me to stay at the Comfort Inn while I was "Fleeing" the other hotel. I was met wby a fantastic front desk clerk and my room was located right near the front on the ground floor, just what I needed after a 5 hour drive! It was a non smoking room that was clean and fresh smelling. All of the linens were crisp and the bathroom very clean. I felt super relieved and slept like a log! Being a woman traveling for business alone, having the front desk staff announce my room number in front of a crowd of men just hanging out in the lobby was disturbing. I thanked them for announcing my room number out loud and I will say the mgr called me when I arrived in the room to offer to switch my room. Not cool

I stayed there for 3 nights. The room was a little dated, but clean. There were limited cable channels on the TV which was an older model. The hotel staff was friendly and took care of problems right away. I had to have my keycard reset several times. Our stay was good for the first night (Friday). On Saturday night we came to the hotel and there was a "party" next door to the hotel and we had absolutely no where to park! We had to park near the back of the building, not to mention I have a 2 month old with me and had to park there because the Party Crowd had the hotel parking spaces. From the start, we knew this was going to be a bad stay. The outside of the hotel was in disrepair - holes in the overhang. Then, once we walked in, things got worse. We got our room key and then walked down a dimly lit hall to our room. There was trash littered in the hall. Upon entering the hotel room, it was clear that no part of the hotel had been […] kept up. We couldn't use the comforters - both of them had stains and one had burns on it. In the bathroom, there were holes in the wall. The shower had a strange hole in it too, and the bath tub was incredibly slippery. I didn't feel safe in this hotel and it didn't feel clean. I was grateful to check out.
