Large room (even for US standards) and best deal we've ever had in Europe. Good location next to S-bahn station to the airpport and Hauptbahnhof. Grocery store and restaurants nearby, 10 walk to shopping and park, 20 minutes to the Rhine. Rooms and common spaces seem recently renovated. Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with my wife. The room was very spacious exept maybe bathroom, but anyways it was big and comfy enough. The staff was very nice and helpfull. Location- the distance from the center of city was 2 tram stops or 15 minutes walk away. The bike rent was 5 minutes from hotel. Use it, its very nice to ride bike threw the park […] and by the Rhein river. The only downside was the train, our room were facing the tracks, but to me tell you the truth it was not a problem. I was sleeping like a baby after nice shopping, bike rides and evenings spent with my wife. Probably I would ask for room on the other side of hotel if sounds usually bother your sleep. nice room and breakfast items. However during my stay there's no Internet access in my room. Desk person mentioned out-of-service Wifi service. I could have stayed, but Internet is critical for my stay this time; I had to find another hotel. Maid also "forgot" to bring any towels for the room on the 2nd day.

I came to the medica conference and the hotel is quite far from the messa. The street is not close to a shoping center or public transportation (the nearby metro is hard to access. Despite the low price, I was optimistic based on reviews posted here and elsewhere. The location was not that inconvenient (and around the corner from the S-bahn to the airport), but the neighborhood was a bit dodgy and a good 15-20 minutes walk to anywhere of interest. The only other furniture was a easy chair that seemed like it was from a garage sale with stains and a wobbly coffee table. The bathroom was downstairs,however the bed was up on the second level. The stairs were too narrow to carry my bag upstairs, so I left everything downstairs and only went upstairs to sleep. The television didn't work and the sleeping area had no curtain. The bathroom was clean, however the hose kept breaking away from the showerhead. There was a shared balcony, so I didn't feel very secure in the room and no in-room safe. The carpets were stained. There is no one at the desk at night. There was a lot of trash left in the hallways. Breakfast was included, but not of the best quality. Thankfully, I was there only one night. The hotel is close to the train station. It is a nice hotel except few things: The wifi is very slow, the breakfast room is ver narrow and the breakfast itself is just acceptable. The room is wide. Although the room mentainance is not the best, overall it is accepted.

Just round the corner from S-Bahn station Wehrhahn. If you're bothered by the rumblings of the freight trains (the regular electric trains glide by with hardly a sound) ask reception for a room at the back. I think the hotel should quite frankly be rebranded to a hostel instead of a hotel because that what it is. IThe reception closes at 10pm and although arrangemets for enry are in place, they do not address issues faced by no-german speaking visitors. One of the strangest places I have stayed. It had availability during the trade fair which is why I didn't stay at my usual hotel, but it was just a bit odd. The reception area is fine (not 24 hour though). I was on the 5th floor in a split level room. On the lower floor was the main room and a private balcony and bathroom with a television that didn't […] work and a phone hanging off the wall by the wires. There were white powder stains on the floor and damp staining on the ceiling. In the corner were some VERY steep open stairs up to a single be and a wardrobe and a window with nothing but a net curtain. Enjoyed this hotel throughly during my recent trip to Dusseldorf and the surrounding areas. Hotel room was on the 4th floor and the only noise i could hear was a trains passing by and the occasional German who was drunk. Noise from traffic or trains don't really bother me and once you close the window you don't hear that much anyway imho. However, that […] may just be me not being bothered by trains, cars, etc. Fortunately, i wasn't near the main lift shaft, although there was another less busy one nearer my room also but i didn't hear much. Overall, i enjoyed the hotel and experienced excellent comfort throughout. The room was spacious, clean and i was left in peace to enjoy my stay. The cleaners were great and didn't bother me if i put the 'do not disturb' sign up. I was there until 11 and 12 most mornings and just put the 'please make up my room' sign up when i was going. Hey presto, i returned to a clean room and an empty bin. Also, the staff were mainly friendly and helpful, especially the manager. He was very good at his job and speaks perfect english-total gentleman. Talking of which, the TVs are old and do not have any english channels. For me, this was a major disappointment as my german is very basic & a work in progress. True, i'm in Germany but..... The TV's are also very old. They seem to have other national channels but nothing for the English speaking tourist, which is very surprising. However, for me, it was an excellent hotel. Thanks. Read more

The hotel was very modern and comfortable, for the price. It is next to a small railway station, which has a direct link to the main station. Breakfast had a reasonable variety of hams and cheese etc, although the dining room was a bit small. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was a good budget hotel which, apart from other noisy guests coming in very late and disturbing everyone, was a pleasure to stay in. A bit far from the old town but there is a tram that takes 5-10 mins from the top of the road to take you there, or a 30 mins walk. Would stay there again!

Our experience in Kempe Komfort Hotel was just fine. The service is good and the location is also good. The hotel could use to be a bit cleaner and could use some renovations, but it was comfortable and the right price. I would definitely recommend for short stay if you don't need anything fancy.

Die Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption waren freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Für ein 3 Sterne-Hotel stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auf jeden Fall! Kleines Manko: Der Kühlschrank war nicht ganz sauber. Würden aber in jedem Fall erneut buchen!!
