Beds were great, flat screen TV was huge, sheets were super soft. It was a non-smoking room, but you could sure tell upon stepping in that it HADN'T been. I suggest they pre-aircondition the room before assigning a guest. I took a shower, but the tub never drained - ICKY. Breakfast was sparse

We stayed here because it was less expensive than the surrounding hotels. I think it should have been even cheaper with the condition of the hotel. It needs some attention in cleanliness and repairs. It's more like a $50 a night motel.

From beginning to end, it was terrible. Check in from outside, behind plexiglass. The room key we were provided did not work. Had to go back to the plexiglass and the staffer (who was very nice, no complaint there), had to walk upstairs to let us in. However, we were left with no working card to get back into the room. The AC was not on when we arrived, […] so the room was about 85 degrees to start, very musty and dank. Once on, the AC worked fine, but it took about 3 hours to cool the entire room down, which did not make for great sleeping conditions. Breakfast was disgraceful. We couldn't find anyone to restock simple things like milk for cereal, or batter for waffles. My two children and I left with dry cereal and a cup of juice.There was no one behind the front desk, no one working the breakfast, no employees to be found anywhere. After waiting for ten minutes to check out we eventually just gave up and left. I'd never stay here again and was thankful that on our return trip through Vicksburg I had booked another hotel down the street that met our needs in every way possible. Read more

Kinda hard to get to but this Jamison may be a bit old but owners have kept it up and clean. Very neat grounds, pool clean and front desk man was informative. Would stay there again for shore.

read several mixed reviews and was a little anxious about staying there, but everything was more than the 2 star rating it had. There was a refrigerator, microwave in it. The AC worked well. The breakfast was very good. Pool was small, but adequate for the size of the Inn. Would stay again if it was just an overnite, too small for more than that.

My room was not very clean. There was an overturned ashtray left behind the night stand, the alarm clock in the room was illegible, there was evidence of someone getting sick in the toilet prior to my arrival, the complimentary hand lotion bottle had obviously been used and refilled a number of times because the label was warped and dirty, and the light […] switches and switch plates were crusty and appeared to have never been wiped off. My neighbor at the hotel appeared to be a prostitute and there were people in and out of her room throughout the night. On the plus side, my bed appear to be clean and was very comfortable. The room had been updated recently and was tastefully decorated. The A/C unit worked very well. I enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The location of the hotel was convenient to a mall and eating establishments. I did not swim but the appearance of the pool and the fitness center were positive. I did not feel very safe at this hotel and I am a frequent traveler with modest expectations. It is a shame because this hotel really is charming and in a good location. Read more

We stopped here for a one night stay on the way back from Florida. The staff was wonderful, the room was very clean and also had a mini fridge and microwave which was unexpected. This is really not a hotel but what I would consider a motel. The rooms all face the parking lot, so it's a little disheartening for a single woman traveling alone. The room was typical of a 1980s motel room although the bed was comfortable. The room contained a working refrigerator and a microwave. However, the second night I was there, I noticed my […] shower curtain had disappeared. It was so late that I called the desk but didn't really want anyone to come to replace it then. Also, I had to go in search of an ice machine. The one in my section of the motel did not work, so I had to go across the pool area to find one that did. The price of the room included a continental breakfast--biscuits, muffins, bagels, cereal, a little bit of fruit as in apples and oranges (whole). The coffee was good, but that's about all I can say. The TV was just an old Phillips, no flat screen, and there was only one check-in/check-out attendant each day, who was pretty much responsible for everything. The price is indicative of what to expect. By the way, the motel is not easy to find, and there is not much advertising along the way to guide you to it. I had to call the office to find out where to find it as I did not have GPS. Overall, I would not recommend this h(m)otel. Read more

Waling in the FIRST room, the a/c did not work, so we got another room, all said no smoking, and you could smell the smoke in the room. Carpet worn, stained dirty, chair in room worn out, bathroom floor cracked, everything looked dirty as far as the furniture and the condion of it. I sprayed the floor with my lysoil spray, cleaned the controler to the […] tv, then sprayed the bed and pillows and carpet, i would NOT walk on the carpet with bare feet. We got in out room, and then the handle fell off the door, and so we could not reenter if we left. They gave us another room. My allergies went nuts, & by morning I could barely breathe--so there was either mold or dust--not adequately cleaned.

Personally, I liked the Jameson Inn over the complex of standard hotels that were in the area. I found the atmosphere pleasant enough. However, I have had a better breakfast as a lesser hotel. I would recommend this hotel for travellers on a budget.

The clerk was not very friendly first she asked me for an ID and my credit card. I told her the room was already paid for and she stated that the card was for incidentals. I handed her my Goverment Military ID and credit card, she stated she wanted my drivers license...well that is not what she said. I told her that was a Military ID and it was better […] than a drivers license she rolled her eyes and turned on the attitude. My reservation was supposed to be for a non smoking room, the clerk informed me that the reservation was made for a smoking room. I told her I wanted a non smoking room, again she rolled her eyes. Then she stated that the room available was on the second floor. I asked her if there was an elevator she said no. I told her in that case I could not take the room on the second floor. (I have a handicap with my knees and can not climb stairs.) Again she rolled her eyes. Then she stated the only room available was a handicap room, I told her that was fine. The entire hotel looked empty and she stuck me in the furthest room in the third building. I looked around and all the rooms looked empty, my car and one other car were the only cars in the parking all evening. I was travelling alone and think she could have been more considerate of that fact. I will think twice about booking with this hotel in the future and recommending it to friends. Read more

The pictures of this particular Jamison Inn are very deceiving on the internet. The only room they had available was a smoking room, which I wasn't going to complain about since it was a holiday weekend and this was a last minute booking, but this room was disqusting. I do not believe the seet had been changed, so I went to the front desk and ask the […] attendant to please send so one to change the sheets. I told her they had a stain on them and she said "it was probably set in". I told her I still wanted them changed. She said she would take care of it. We left for a few hours and came back and they were still not changed. We were so tired we jut slept on top of the blankets. The carpet was nasty, probably just so old it can be cleaned anymore. The chair in the room was filthy. I wouldn't have let my dog sit in that chair. It was horrible I would not recommend anyone staying at this particular Jamison Inn. Read more
