The location is smack bang in the centre of Sydney's shopping precinct sitting literally above Myer. Westfield is just around the corner with the Harbour bridge and China Town only 10 to 15 minutes away on foot. We paid a really good price for our rooms. We had 6 people in 3 twin rooms. Service was great, facilities were great, it was a fantastic stay. We were there for my Hens night. Pros: Clean, well presented rooms, excellent location, most staff polite. Cons: Disorganised. Room was not available on our arrival at 4pm. Didn't get to check in until 5.30pm. Room service took atleast an hour. Breakfast took even longer. After an hour of waiting, only half of what we ordered was brought up. Rang service desk to inform. Waited another […] hour and still no arrival of our remaning order, so we decided to just check out as our eggs and bacon were cold by that stage obviously. Great location for city visit. Easy walk to Rocks, Darling Harbour, fine dining very close, and hop on/off bus almost at the door. Staff very attentive and helpful. Room large and very comfortable. "Smoking vs non-smoking rooms"
First room given was large but noticeably smokey even though I specifically asked for non-smoking. I asked for a different room and was put in a VERY small room though there was no odour. I found that the hotel was in an excellent position and generally a nice hotel. I did not find the dinner service to be very efficient. In fact was slow. "Most unprofessional staff"
Unprofessional staff at front desk and I had to ask if they can help me. Did not greet or said welcome to their hotel. All they were interested was selling morning breakfast. Love the hotel, it's location is superb and the quality of room and facilities superb. Only things of concern were the lift waits ( are 3 lifts and were so busy wait times were upward of 10 mins at times) and the overnight room service menu ( there is little on it, it took 45 mins to deliver a cheese plate and garden salad, the salad was extremely poor […] with limb lettuce leaves , a few half cherry tomatoes and some onion rings for $19 and the cheese plate was delivered without its crisp reads or bread - we had to phone to get these and wait smother 15 mins).
