we loved out stay at the springhill suites in milford. the room was very gracious - from the little kitchenette to the extra blankets and pillows kept in a zippered plastic bag - nice and dust free. our stay included breakfast that was scheduled to end at 9:00 a,m., but it was still gling strong at 10:15 when we left - a generous inclusion for many other guests on the day after thanksgiving. can't say enough good things about this place. we arrived very tried, around 7:00 p.m. and there was complimentary hot coffee, decaf and teas with real cream available in the lobby. every detail - just wonderful. definitely on our list of places we'd return to if we needed a place to put our heads in that part of the world.

We were fairly disappointed with our stay at Springhill Suites. We quickly came to find that our "kitchenette" was merely a mini fridge and microwave (or should have been). The microwave and our internet connection were non-existent and our smoke detector had been removed from the wall of our room. Needless to say, we were not pleased with this. Thankfully, we only wasted one night there. The only up side was how nice the staff was when we staged our complaints. Regardless, we won't be staying here again.

The room was well designed, and very clean. The breakfast setting was the nicest we've experienced for hotels in this price range. Comfortable seating, not crowded. The only complaint has to do with the hvac system in the room. It wasn't cool enough to require heat, so we just turned on the fan. It produced a very musty smell which continued as long as the fan was 'on'. Perhaps filters need to be changed more often?

Check in and check out was fine as well as the overall look of the hotel. However, some areas could use some improvement: 1. The toilet in our room was working well and subsequently clogged on the 2nd day. We called for assistance which we were told would be promptly dispatched but that didn't happen. It took them approximately 45 minutes to address it and instead of fixing the clogged toilet, they dropped off a plunger which didn't work. My family had to use the facilities located near the lobby. 2. Room smelled stale and pungy. Needed to be aired and deodorized. 3. Hotel pool room was loud and echoed a lot to a point you couldn't hear your kid talking. 4. Door to pool room would slam shut very loudly, making one jolt in shock every single time. I can't understand why Front Desk staff or maintenance did not rectify the door issue when the lobby is just around the corner. 5. Breakfast was good but items would often run out and the replenishments were far in between. Often had to inform breakfast staff that we needed waffle batter, juice, eggs, and even spoons.

For the price, the room met our expectations. We booked last minute, and got a room on the first floor. A room on a higher floor probably would have been better, because we ran into a lot of pool traffic when we entered and exited our room. The breakfast was OK, kind of a standard buffet. No "Manager's Reception", as I have found in most of Marriott's competitors. Conveniently located near I95 and route 1.

This is a great suite oriented hotel for the prices offered. I had a studio suite on the first floor and it was spacious to say the least. The room was extra clean with extra linens available that were stored in the closet. The tub was big enough for myself to take a bath which is a rarity being that i'm 6 foot three inches and about 230 lbs! Flat screen LCD tv was a nice touch and the bed was extra comfortable. The location is super convenient to the highway access (I-95) and a major roadway (route 1/boston post rd.). The only downside to this facility is that it has a very small pool. The bldg. itself is pretty huge so it was very disappointing to see such a small pool area. Besides that, this hotel is a great place to stay with super friendly ppl staffing the hotel!!!

This is an excellent hotel - clean as a pin, a BIG flat screen TV that swivels from the sitting area to the bed, a bed you can sink down into for a deep sleep, and free breakfast complete with homemade waffles! The only drawback would be that the walls are a bit thin, so if you want to sleep in, you may want to ask to be put onto a floor where there are no kids. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location right next to the freeway; comfortable room; very quiet hotel -- I don't believe I heard another sound from another hotel guest while during our 4-night stay (and it was full!) The only (minor) complaints I had were related to "housekeeping" -- (1) we often didn't have enough towels in the room and had to go ask the housekeeper for more or call the front desk. (2) coffee & kitchen supplies (paper plates) were not replenished on a daily basis as we expected and we had to call to request them.

It started with a broken (stuck) deadbolt so we couldn't close our door, continued with room controls that were either freezing or hot (no inbtw) and ended by being awoken at 7 a.m. on a Morning (for us that was 6 a.m. bc we are from CST) by two cranes working outside our hotel room on either side pounding incessantly. When I complained to the front desk and spoke to the manager she simply said, "sorry, we have no control over the renovations." No refund for the evening was given and we had stayed there four days. I guess I'm pretty put off by that and won't stay there again. There are plenty of other hotels that we can give our money.
