The Westin St. Louis - St. Louis

Room is great, location is great and service is great. Down sides are we could not find a Chase bank anywhere near the area, television system is slow, restaurant staff is slow and food is not good. But, over all a good stay.

We very much enjoyed the West Inn. Our stay started off with the front desk worker Eileen who was very nice and helpful. Room was incredible, hotel is directly across the street from Busch Stadium. Easily can walk to the Arch and Historic Lacledes Landing. Extra note, if you like beer, go to the Flying Saucer. Only negative note was the free buffet […] (thank goodness it was free), very mediocure at best for such a nice hotel. This hotel was amazing! We bought our stay on hotels.com of course for one heck of a deal that offered a complimentary breakfast buffet at their Amazing resturaunt located inside the hotel,(Clark street grill) and also complimentary self parking. So we saved a ton before we arrived so we were already pleased but once we arrived I literally felt like […] I was Celebrity. The service guys out front were INCREDIBLE and when I went inside to check in I was greeted with the best smell which instantly relaxed me. My husband and I had a king room that was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was AMAZING!!! We ate dinner at their restaurant and literally haven't had food that good in a long while. The chef knows what he's doing. We concluded our stay with the complimentary breakfast buffet that is normally a little pricey but I have to say if you don't get a package where the breakfast is included it would be worth it to pay for it. I certainly would have!!! The freshness of everything was outstanding. I will be looking for nothing but Westin Hotels from here on out. My only complaint is that there isn't an IPod docking station for music in the room. Read more

The Westin was perfect to walk to any location. Busch Stadium right across the street and restaurants as well. The Westin is a first class hotel in my book with great big clean rooms and excellent service.

Our stay was wonderful. We stayed here after the Cardinal's game because it was right across the street. The room was very nice, super clean and way better than I was expecting. Definately will stay here again.

For the price of the room I expected the room to be bigger. The staff was very friendly the location was perfect we just walked across the street for the Cardinal game. Expected more of a bigger room for the price. I don't think I will stay there again unless there was a major price change.

Hotel and room were very nice and comfortable. Location is great since it is right downtown and the Studium stop for the Metrolink is in front of the hotel. Very high recommendation for a hotel of this class.

the staff, the property and the location was perfect. The wife and I have only postive to say about the Westin in St. Louis. Bring bubble bath for the tub, ask for another 100% cotton robe for the glass shower, extra POD for the coffee maker (only gave us one for three day stay) but unlimited free coffee in the am (bar area) - parking on the street […] free on weekends.... (at least it was for us) please check with staff or business in area 1st, subway inches away as well as the ball park. Read more

Our checkin receptionist was not competent for directions (trolley pickup) and quite unfriendly but I think it was a front because she didn't know what she was doing but the wrong choice where customers are involved. She basically used the internet to find location which we already had and we simply wanted to know how to get to the stop from the hotel. […] One bellman was terrific with his personality & gave excellent advice for our query on night entertainment & good directions. Part-time car parking guy when we arrived neglected to tell us that from the valet exit, one can make a left to the parking lot and we had to wait 8 minutes to be able to turn right due to traffic and then go around the block to follow the itty bitty signs that are posted. The hotel can definitely improve on their signage for parking as well as everything else in the facility, i.e. parking/gym/surrounding locations. I was disappointed to have the wallpaper peeling in the room, mold in our shower, the caulk was poor & water leaked on the floor from the shower, hair dryer worked but settings button was broken and stuck on high/hot, only 1 outlet worked at desk, bed sheets were rough (very unexpected & disappointing for boasting about their beds). Restaurant food was good & most staff very nice & courteous. Coffee was too acidic for our tastes but grapefruit juice was terrific. Read more

Hotel is built in historic warehouses buildings. Huge lobby, our rooms were on the 7th floor overlooking the Cardinal's Ball Field. Just blocks from the River, the Arch, Museums, and Federal Buildings. Room was huge with high ceilings and tall arched windows that mimicked the view of the St, Louis Arch. We went for a weekend getaway and had a fabulous time. Our room was immaculate. We had separate shower/tub and a pillow top king size bed. They made us feel right at home with an upscale feel. Amazing trip. I was traveling alone and stayed in St. Louis just one night, and I was comfortable, had privacy, and got everything I needed. Very clean, location is in a good part of downtown, walking distance from Arch, and staff was super quick to respond.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Everything was great. The only complaint that I have is that I wish the Hotel bar stocked more local St. Louis beers (other than Bud) We will definitely be back.
