The Pines provided a comfortable, relaxing stay to scout the lake for a summer rental. Plus staff well trained and very helpful. We look forward to returning to the most beautiful lake in California.

Loved everything about the hotel. Rustic and old so can't give full marks for things like condition, but it's very charming and romantic, and aside from the heater waking us up every morning at 630am, it was fantastic. I'd come back in a heartbeat, and loved the lounge and the piano guy too - amazing spot.

The Chateau is lovely and has a beautiful setting. When we arrived there was a large family checking in, so we had to wait a while before we were shown... around and taken to our room. I had an extra person in my party and they were very nice about putting a rollaway in the room. It made it a bti snug, so the next night they moved us to a larger room. It was a very nice touch. The hotel staff goes above and beyond. Nice Treat. Make sure to stay and enjoy it. by a Hotels.com guest on 07/02/12

The place was lovely; enjoyed it very much. The only complain that I have is that hotels.com quoted me 197.77 on the phone, even repeated twice; but was charged 495.00. Would have liked to have known that beforehand.
