Had a great time! They upgraded us to a larger room to put us next to our friends. The room was Okay - comfy bed and they had a real causal laid back attitude in Vermont - if you can roll with the punches your GOLD! We had no heat in our room but a roaring fire place and they gave us a ton of wood and it all worked out fine. I enjoyed our stay...

Very nice hotel. Breakfast is included in the price. Choices are, Cold Ceral, french toast, muffin, eggs, bacon, juices, coffee, homemade buttermilk pancakes. I stayed her for 4 nights, for a ski trip. I used the hotel only for breakfast and sleeping activities. They do offer dinners. I would stay here again if we are back in the area.

We stayed overnight before visiting Williams College. Easy to find (right on main rd, but not too noisy), couple of casual restaurants within walking distance. Staff polite and responsive, but not overly friendly. Room was clean and well set up. Free wifi. Only dissppointment was the shower which had limited power and hot water. Continental breakfast was wrapped muffins and cereal, nothing fancy but good enough for a quick bite before hitting the road. Good experience at a good price.

The Econolodge in Manchester was perfect for an overnight stay between two days of skiing. It was clean, brightly painted, and pleasant. Of course when paying for Econolodge you are not expecting super-fancy, but it met all expectations. Only one complaint: the lobby could have been better ventilated with actual fresh air instead of air fresheners. We would definitely go back!

"Charming and cozy"

This was the biggest disappointment ever for a b&b recommended by Expedia. As soon as we entered the lobby the smell of musty mildew was overwhelmingly present. Unfortunately it did not get better as our room was the same. Gross, not the romantic setting that we hope for when staying at a supposed three star lodging! "Inn with an identity crisis"
The Inn is a beautiful old building on great land which seems to be suffering from an identity crisis. Apparently the Inn changed management a year ago and it's apparently. While the inn previously had thoughtfully placed decor and smartly picked furniture pieces, it now had cheap, Holiday Inn style mass reproduced art and cheap, floral pattern couches […] interspersed with the old decor. There are fake flowers all over the hotel which makes no sense. Why not just go outside and pull wildflowers off the side of the road? Fake flowers in Vermont just don't make any sense whatsoever. The pool area and ponds are treated as an afterthought. My wife and I went to sit by the pond and there were two, non-adjustable lounge chairs which is great if you want to lay back and look at the sky but awful if you want to read or just sit. There are no towels to sit by the pool and no way to get any beverage. One feels like they're seeing the slow death of a once well maintained and cared for inn. It wouldn't take much to remove the bad art, ugly flower curtains in the rooms in the main inn, fake flowers and have better service to guests who want to sit outside but it would make an ENORMOUS difference in the feel of the inn.
