Moulin de l Abbaye - delightful ivy-clad mill located in Brantome - the Venice of the Perigord - has been a feature of one of the most beautiful areas in Dordogne. The River Dronne runs by its terrace and the Monastery Garden the Pont Coude - right angled bridge - a 16th century masterpiece - and the Abbey founded by Charlemagne in 769 take you to the very heart of a timeless Perigord.

Imagined in 1978 the vocation of the Moulin de l Abbaye is to make you enjoy the charms of the region - to give you the best art of living and attentive service.
The Moulin de l Abbaye is formed by three historical houses
-The ancient Mill in numerous destinies - milled the grain -
weaved wool and even produced electricity for the village at the beginning of the century
-The Miller House located near the caves in front of the Mill
-The Abbot House dating the 13th century where lived Pierre de Bourdeille - abbot and lord of Brantome - located on the other side of the Pont Coude.
