The location of this hotel was perfect. Kevin who worked for Juries always seemed to be on duty. He was very helpful and his easy going ways made our stay a pleasure.

Stayed 4 nights for business. Didn't get out because of weather. The resturant was excellent. The service was also very good. In all I recommend and would stay again.

Eyre Square Hotel was very conveniently located and met all our expectations. It was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. It was probably the best value we came across in Ireland.

The stay was wonderful ... Raw Sushi restaurant was superb ... thermal spa very comforting ... outside jacuzzi splendid ... the breakfast buffet was looked forward too ... friendly and knowledgeable staff ... should Galway be on our plans again, we will gladly book a return

I think it is important that places like Ashford exist and are available to the world to experience, it's like nothing else anywhere. The staff is... gracious, the views are mind boggling. Only hitch I would say is they get easily overwhelmed during holiday times. We arrived mid afternoon on Easter Sunday and our room wasn't ready, I noticed even late in the day, other ppl's rooms weren't ready yet. I think they may have a small staff. If you want to do activities in the meantime upon arrival, book in advance if you know when you'll arrive. I was told I could just show up and do everything and it didn't work out that way. But they did accommodate our every request for the next day in a perfect schedule of activities. The grounds of the castle are astonishing, you will take the most wonderful stroll through the woods and along the river. The village of Cong is adorable, but most shops were closed due to the holiday. Get used to hearing about The Quiet Man, because you'll never stop hearing about it. We came back to our room and the beds were turned down with slippers next to our bed. Definitely do the falconry, it was an amazing experience. If you are looking for a castle stay that includes cold stone floors and a hay covered pallet on which to sleep this is definitely not your place. Ashford Castle oozes luxury and comes with service to match. The setting is spectacular and the rooms are some of the best I have ever stayed in. An odd/difficult part of the rating was "convenience of hotel location" as I went specifically for the hotel and not for the surrounding areas. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we were given an upgrade to an amazing suite. The views were breath taking and the staff friendly and kind. The town of Cong has a lovely nature walk and nice pubs and shops.

top quality service, staff excellent throughout , location was amazing with stunning views . hotel was amazing, expensive ,but worth it. The only negative thing was the bed. we had a king rm, but when we went to jump into our king bed, it was two single beds made separately pushed together,not even the same height. on checking out appologies were made […] as the beds should have been zipped together.
