"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

"great little hotel"
We thought this was a wonderful place to stay. Hotel staff were very nice. The doormen were wonderful! My 18 year old daughter and I stayed there on a quick trip to NYC. We were very pleasantly surprised: our room had a great view of the Empire State building! There was noise coming from a room above us, but that was in the afternoon only.I would stay […] there again. It was a convenient location at a decent price. We walked everywhere but it was close to subway stops. Read more
The staff was great, can't beat the location, close to Nomad Hotel, Ace Hotel and Madison Square Park very hip.. But if you are not familiar with New York the initial area can look sketchy. The only criticism of the hotel would be that the lobby needs some major updating.
"Good for the money"
This hotel was good for the money we spent. It was an older hotel, but clean and close to subway. The neighborhood isn't my favorite, but my favorites are always expensive. Front desk was very nice.
"Not as good as it looks"
The hotel could be better. The rooms are small, the decor is horrible, and the bed could be much better. The best is the location
"Don't let the small lobby fool you, huge rooms"
Very good size rooms. I stayed in a junior suite and the room was huge. Sitting area, big bathroom, double beds, small island for the coffee station, and a small living room (ish) sitting area.
The overall stay was not bad, the service was great. However, my whole experience was ruined when i saw a two inch COCKROACH in the breakfast/ lounge area.
"Don't judge by the lobby"
Stayed 2 nights at the Broadway Plaza. The check in area / lobby is very small, BUT don't let the first impression fool you. The rooms are bigger than most NY apartments. Very comfortable, clean, and spacious. I work in the Flatiron Dist. so location is great.

breakfast room very small
"Great location, nice hotel, even nicer staff."
The hotel itself is not a huge deal, but its location is very convenient if you'll travel by train. Though you may be a little disappointed when you see the installations, wait until you need anything, and you'll find one of the most helpful and friendly staff I've bumped into!
"Cost-effective, but not satisfying."
This hotel is cost-effective and centrally located, but the negatives outweigh the positives: Only one elevator goes above the 7th Floor, which means you'll have to wait forever every time you use the elevator. The first room they gave me was very small, had no desk to work at, and the guest next door was playing a guitar, loudly, at 9 in the evening. […] They were also very unaccommodating in terms of a late checkout, and charged me $50 to do so, despite the fact that I had a 4 night stay and the potential for many more future stays (I'm in NYC every 2-3 weeks). I would not stay at this hotel again. Read more

"Nice Hotel for Downtown NYC"
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It is clean and close to the subway, Chinatown, and Ferrys. The rooms is spacious and clean. It was a great stay for us.
"Broadway Plaza"
The room was clean and comfortable and seemed to have been newly renovated. The staff was universally polite and helpful. There were no hidden fees. They served a good continental breakfast. I would stay there again.
"Hotel in NY for Buiness"
I am disappointed in my stay at the Broadway Plaza Hotel. The chief reason is that they refused to honor the State Tax exempt certificate - a clear violation of State Law. I am state employee on state business and I am required to lodge at a Hotel at the going state rate (which I did). BUT the Hotel is also required to accept the State Tax exempt certificate […] which the Broadway Plaza did not. I am referring the matter to the State's Tax Department. Read more
Looks small when first entering hotel, but rooms are giant! Front desk staff is super friendly & helpful. Will recommend to anyone I know staying in NYC!
"1st vist to NY"
We stayed in this hotel for 5 days while visiting NY in March. It was a great location for walking, as well as, subway access. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was unexpectedly large. I was with my wife, 21 yr old daughter and 16 yr. old foreign exchange student student. The room was large enough that we did not feel cramped at […] all. The only two draw backs were the breakfast (mostly sweet rolls and bagels) and the street to the subway stop. We did not feel threatened, but were uncomfortable walking through the locals that stood on the corner. Over all, great hotel for visiting the city at a reasonable price. Read more
"Great location, great service"
A very convenient walk from Penn Station (10 minutes tops), great concierge staff, very kindly kept my bag both when I arrived at 10am for a 4pm check-in and kept the bag until later that evening, and the following day when I checked out at 10am, but returned for my bag at 6pm. Breakfast is bit doughy (all pastries, not fruit, coffee is good). Clean, […] comfy rooms, would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Read more
"Location, Location, Location..."
I was for the most part satisfied with my experience staying at this hotel in all aspects but one.. I prepaid this hotel about a week in advance and was under the false pretense that I was just going to check in and everything would be peachy from there. WRONG... Upon checking I was told that there would be an additional $100 charged to my card for […] "incidentals" and upon checkout it would be returned to me two to three business days later. Now mind you, I only paid a few more dollars for the room so in essence, I was paying for two nights and staying only one... hmmmm.. go figure... That said, now what would happen to the poor unfortunate soul who is on a budget and doesn't have that hidden "incidental" fee to dish out at that time? This is unacceptable to me and should be communicated to the would be guest with enough anticipation instead of being blindsided on that check in date. Why not include this in the email confirmation so there won't be any surprises?... Ok.. now that that slight inconvenience is out of the way, I must say that this hotel's location is what makes it so attractive. Close to everything. Read more
"Broadway Plaza Hotel in NYC -Surprisingly pleasant"
While I was scared when I first saw the small entrance in an almost deserted part of town, once I got to the front desk my fears were put to rest as the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful and the lobby was somewhat inviting. I needed a place to stay near my office as I had to work late and needed to be in early. This hotel was perfect. It was […] only a few blocks from where I worked, the room I had was very large, modern looking and very clean. The price was unbelievably reasonable and the free breakfast in the am was just icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place that's in the Chelsea area. "Broadway Plaza Hotel in NYC"
I would recommend this small boutique hotel to anyone visiting NYC. Great location and complimentary continental breakfast were plusses. Ask for a corner room. Awesome view of Empire State Building.
The hotel staff (front desk and concierge) were just wonderful. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired
"Broadway Plaza Bliss"
First time I've ever stayed at the Broadway Plaza and it was delightful. Parking was one blk away.......subways 1 blk away.........so close yet so far away from the hustle and bustle. The room was immaculate with a nice view of the Empire State Bldg.......the continental breakfast is a nice treat to start your day...........staff were welcoming and […] friendly........if I return to the Big Apple and need a place to stay on the West Side.........Broadway Plaza will be my choice. Thanks again Read more
"Broadway Plaza Hotel - NY"
Great little hotel, friendly staff, lovely morning continental breakfast and a great location. You can't beat this hotel for this price. I would stay here again.
"Great location and a view of the Empire State Bldg"
We stumbled on this place because of its good rates- the room was not the most up to date, but perfectly fine for the price and so well situated. I had the Empire State Building in my window- and it's just a few blocks from the Village and Jazz Standard. The staff was very nice and we will use this hotel again.

"totally convenient to everything"
Convenient to Rockefeller Plaza, Empire State Bldg, Penn Station, MSG, Macy's, 2nd Ave Deli, etc. Choosing this hotel was a sheer stroke of luck!
"HEATING"
The heating is of the old style base board and it took a very long time for our room to heat up and it never really reached a comfortable level. Otherwise things were nice.
"Very Pleased with the Broadway Plaza Hotel"
We were in NYC for a very short visit and were looking for low cost, comfort and convenience- that is exactly what we got. The prices and location were absolutely perfect, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early, received a room on a higher floor just as we had requested, and they held our bags before and after […] we checked in and out. The hotel is only about a block away from a subway station, it is clean, well kept, and the room was comfortable and spacious. Absolutely no complaints here... would definitely stay at the Broadway Plaza again. Read more
"Broadway Plaza Hotel in NYC-Clean & convenient"
Stayed 2 nights. Staff were helpful, courteous and made our stay easy. Rooms were spacious and clean. Location of hotel is ideal...accessible to subway and walking distance to many places. Breakfast was ok but would have liked free internet. Would stay again.
"Entrance"
The entrance does not look like it is a way to a wonderful and comfortable hotel.

"A great deal for a nice hotel"
Clean rooms, great service by the employees. good location for where I needed to be in NYC. A great deal for the price. I highly recommend it.

"Good Deal"
The imediate area around the Hotel is pretty lack-luster. But if you venture more than couple blocks, you be surrounded by great amenities. The hotel does not have a lot of bells and whisltes, but the rooms are nice and they will check your bags after you sign out if you plan on spending another day in the city.
"Better than I thought"
It was cheap, but really good. The room was small, but i would stay there again. The location was not bad, also.
"Broadway Plaza"
Convenient, quiet, clean--simple and relatively stripped down, but a very good buy for those wanting an inexpensive base in Manhattan. It was also unusual in having inexpensive 2 full beds--I was staying with a friend for weekend in NYC and we needed two beds, but found most hotels charged much more for two, rather than a king or queen sized bed.
"Good value near Flatiron."
Clean room, friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast and Starbucks coffee were a welcome extra. Good value for the money.
"Nice but kind of a sketchy neighborhood."
Our room was GIANT! And very clean! It was probably the coldest night we've had so far, so we needed a space heater just to keep up with the regular heater. When we woke up we were all pretty toasty. We had a Jr suite, it was nice. I'd stay there again. Breakfast place was nice, too. Plenty to choose from.
"Broadway Plaza Hotel, New York"
very close to everything we wanted to see and go too, subway is one block away and a 10 minute walk to Time Square, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

"Nonsmoking room must be a smoke-free room"
We did stay at the hotel for two nights. Cigarette smoke from the other rooms was the biggest problem for both nights although an entire floor was supposed to be non-smoking. To mask the bad smoke the cleaning crew must have sprayed heavily with really nasty deodorant. The only nice thing about the hotel was the proximity to the Penn Station and the […] coffee machine on the 4th floor. The coffee is good and it's free 24/7. Read more
"Broadway plaza hotel nice place, nice location"
Spent a couple nights here this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. If you've ever stayed in Manhattan then you know there usually isnt any parking at the hotels. Fortunately, Central parking garage is one street over and you get a valadation from the hotel for almost half off the daily rate. The location is ok, its not in the greatest neighborhood, […] but safe and only short walk to Times Square and surrounding attractions, and you can easily catch the subway to anywhere. Great view of the Empire State Bldg from my window. Room was very clean, and modern, even had an iphone/ipad dock radio which was convenient. The staff is very helpful. I highly reccommend this hotel based on cleanliness, price, and closeness to the attractions. I would definitely stay here again. Read more

"Good value"
Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Great continental breakfast. Very good value for new York city. Will stay there again. Close to many attractions yet without the high cost of other hotels.
"great room, great price"
This is not the fanciest hotel room but it was roomy and clean and the staff were attentive.
