The pool area should be open later then 11pm. There are no rooms around the pool area, so no one would be disturbed. I played in the pool tournament during my stay. Sometimes I would get done at midnight and sometimes it would be 2:30am. A soak in the hot tub would have been great!! Overall, hotel was great, pool hours sucked!!!

All I can say is do not get a room near the exit. I was awake most of the night because of people going in and out of the halls and the room behind us was very loud. Thankfully, the bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. Might stay here again, but will also check into other hotels in the area.

Not what I expected for a Holiday Inn. Rooms are tiny and the bathroom is microscopic. Also no ventilation fans in bathrooms. Stayed on a Saturday night. Front desk employee did not know layout of hotel and told us to park at the complete wrong entrance. Vending machine on our floor did not accept bills and dispensed a completely different product than […] the one I selected. Also hot tub did not work. Noisy, noisy hotel! Granted, it was New Year's Eve, but we could hear every door slam on our floor and the one above. The door to the stairwell needs a new closing mechanism so it's quieter. The Holiday Inn is a great place to stay in Sioux City. It is centrally located next to the Historic Downtown area. It was very clean, comfortable and the breakfast buffet was great!

Having stayed at this location about six times in past 15 years, I was pleased to see the room had been updated. Rooms and bathrooms are smaller than most but nice. The rate was very competitive for the area. A restaurant within 50 yards of either side of the hotel and easy access to the main road through town makes this a nice place for a stay.

quick interstate accesss, food options close by -pass on Scooters coffee kiosk in the paring lot--worst coffee on earth. TV in room did not work -spoke to front desk--he told me the cleaning staff often unplug by accident--hung up and checked power cord and still no TV-called front desk 3 more times and never got an answer....

Pretty unhappy off. At 9:00 p.m. , I walked up to the front desk. Three employees were standing there. Two took off and the deskman stayed. I requested an extra set of towels. Said they would be up. Surrounding area is horrible. Looks like it is placed in the center of the "hood" Pictures looked nothing like the actual hotel. Friendly staff that was a plus. Had a king size room that was tiny at best. Not worth the money and will never stay here again. If you are looking for a good hotel look elsewhere

when booking through expedia and paying extra for such items as breakfast, a hot tub, asking for a higher floor; non of these items/requests were delivered upon. No breakfast, small one person tub, and 2nd floor. wouldn't recommend to business class travelers

Room was what I expected, but the beds were very comforatable. Pool was much warmer than most. Pleanty of resturants and groceries close by. We were in town for the Saturaday in the Park festival, hotel is conviently located for cathcing the shuttle to the festival. Only complaint is having to pay for the use of a microwave.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hoel is located near 4th Street, which is a great area for restaurants and clubs. The hotel had a shuttle that took us there and offered to bring us back (although we walked because it was not far). We booked a whirlpool suite which was very nice and the breakfast at their restaurant, Charlies, what outstanding.

THe location was a little out of the way and no signs for direction. Had to depend on our GPS. The hair dryer did not work. We were told they had been having trouble with others. Very friendly staff. Even the maintenance person I met in the elevator went out of his way to show me to the restaurant. Very convenient to downtown business district and a short walk to some great restaurants. Will definitely stay hear on my next business trip to Sioux City

very very loud. Older hotel with updates, but the slamming room doors and hallway doors are a constant bed shaker. If that is not bothersome, I guess the place is fine.

Loved the whirlpool tub and when we arrived was asked about anything special because it was my girlfriend's birthday. It was Ryan I believe at the front that was able to hook us up with 2 free drink cards (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).

My room was not clean at all the bed had hair on it and I asked for a crib for my son and the mattress in the crib was all ripped up so I had to go to Walgreens to buy a blanket to cover the mattress. Then I found hair on the bed so they gave us a different room and gave us the wrong keys so i had to go back to the front desk and get the right keys […] and mean while I have my son and all our stuff with me. I get to the new room it was smaller and only had a shower. I then went back downstairs and told them to give me my old room back because I needed a bathtub for my toddler son and to just give me fresh sheets and I would make my own bed. Only complaint is when I booked this room it was with 2 queen beds for 3 people. The room I reserved also included breakfast. I asked the gal I made the reservation with if the cost of the room covered 3 breakfasts and what the breakfast included. She said it covered breakfast for the 3 people staying in the room and that is was the breakfast buffet. […] But my guests were given a $20.00 voucher which did not quite cover the costs of 3 breakfasts. They ended up paying an additional $2.44. I do not think they should have had to pay this because I was not informed correctly about this when I reserved the room to include the breakfast. When we said something about this when we checked out, the clerk said she was sorry but that was how they did this with the breakfast and would not reimburse us for the additionally amt. that our guests had to spend. I was not pleased with that response and felt like I was not correctly informed in the first place and that because of that, I should have been reimbursed. I think Holiday Inn could have afforded to reimburse that amt. since it was their mistake, not mine. Read more
