The staff at the hotel was very accommodating. The room was large and comfortable. I could recommend it to anyone who is in the DC area. My room had a full refrigerator and stove. I didn't need that but if you were staying for any length of time, that would definitely be a plus.

We stayed at St Gregory on our drive back up from the south and to avoid th storms in NYC. I booked through the site for a king sized bed and was given a room with 2 double beds. I rang the front desk and was told that reservations through Expedia don't transmit a bed preference and since it was prepaid I couldn't cancel. Besides that our car was readily available and the other staff we encountered were great. I'm not sure I would stay again though.

A wonderful bargain. Very clean hotel for the money. Conveniently located in Foggy Bottom, not far from Georgetown and White House. Very clean and upscale room. I wasn't a fan of the elevator card swipe for security purposes as it was very clumsy and didn't work very seamlessly (I would have preferred a security guard truly necessary). But overall, for the money, this is a fantastic deal in Washington, DC.

The room was beautiful and the desk workers were super friendly and helpful. However, my two room keys would not work half of the time and I kept having to go to the front desk to get new ones, the room was freezing cold, the heater was not working correctly and was making a horrible rattling noise all night long. During the night I had some drunk people mistake my room for theirs and kept trying to get into mine. They then proceeded to stand around the hall outside of my door talking very loudly. It kept me awake most of the night. My overall experience was not pleasant!

This was the second time I have stayed at the hotel. This experience was very disappointing. I was allocated a room (210) next to the hotel exercise room and was woken by the thumping of the running machine at 5 am. The rooms arte very large with full kitchen facilities, but quite dated. I was charged for Wifi use.

This was a great last-minute bargain within walking distance of GWU. Clean and comfortable, my suite had a full kitchen galley. It had an average number of outlets. Wifi was extra as in most luxury hotels. Gym offering was adequate. Lobby has great street view. Drinks and dining were competitive.

My assigned room was obviously occupied last by a heavy smoker. Hard to believe that this was not picked up by housekeeping and rectified. the front desk did inform me that the room could be 'deodorized' which is another bad smell in my book or I could move. It was late and I didn't want the hassle - I should have accepted the hassle. I hope the prior occupant was surcharged for their inconsiderate behavior.

Nearby Construction, super loud heater made almost impossible to sleep. Room hasn't been vacuumed for a long time. Spare blanket - couple holes, terrible smell. Do not stay in 503, 504, 505 - these rooms are next to elevator - not gonna have any rest.

Hotel refused to honor the upgrades guaranteed by Expedia. I don't know why this hotel has an Expedia VIP rating if the hotel refuses to participate. My shower was lukewarm in the evening and close to cold in the morning. Thats a dealbreaker for me. It took 2 phone calls to the front desk to get a response to a request. The room was nice enough but there are better places to stay closer to the Dupont Circle metro.

We were in DC visiting family over the holidays. Before moving abroad, we lived and worked in DC and know the city well, so we were pleased to find the Hotel St. Gregory which was so centrally located yet priced well below most downtown hotels. We were upgraded upon arrival to a suite, and had we not been visiting so many friends and family members, we would have taken advantage of the full stove and large refrigerator. I would definitely book here again.

The hotel staff was awesome. Quick check in, got upgraded to a king suite. Room itself was large. Didn't use the kitchen but it was solid and I would use it if I was staying longer. The TV in the bedroom didn't work but I'm sure had I raised the issue it would have been quickly solved. Restaurant and bar downstairs were both nice looking, didn't eat there however. Great location.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days during New Year's week. Our hotel suite was. We had a bedroom and livingroom space w/an empty fridge. The bathroom was a nice size. Although the staff at the reception area weren't as warm as I would have liked, we were checked in and ourt of the hotel pretty quickly. The hotel is less than 3 blocks from Dupont Square and is surrounded by plenty of places to dine and hang out.

The location is very hard to beat. St. Gregory's proximity to the National Mall made it very attractive as well being within walking distance of Georgetown and DuPont Circle. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars close by that make it a prime location for anyone staying in DC.

Tho hotel is nice. Don't expect the Ritz, but for the price, its pretty good. My 2 girlfriends and I stayed here for 4 days the week of New Year's Eve 2015. Their suites are quite affordable and have full kitchenette (microwave, dishwasher, sink, full size fridge). If you're interested in saving money on food, you can stock your kitchen. The staff is accommodating. The hotel itself is in the middle of everything: 4 blocks from clubs/lounges, 4 blocks from metro, 2 blocks from Georgetown and plenty of bus stops to the various neighborhoods. It's in the middle of Dupont Circle, Georgetown and Foggy Bottom (where monuments are located). There are plenty of places to eat and shop. The biggest downside: It's a block away from Georgetown U Hospital so ambulance noise can be annoying.

Not enough parking even though I called before and they said that they have one space per room. Parking is pricey anyway. $44 with tax. We ended up parking a block away at an overnight lot for $22.

Beware! We reserved a double room and was booked into a single room!! And it wasn't even a standard room. It was a single pull-down bed in a room with a divider wall! When we talked to reception, they said they couldn't do anything for us because they were fully booked. Plus, they said that Expedia (hotels.com) only sends the number of guests and not requested room. Lucky for us we're sisters and small enough to fit! Both hotels.com and the hotel should have a better arrangement and communication so that this doesn't happen again to another guest! Until that happening, I suggest you call and confirm with the hotel before your arrival.

This boutique hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood but amenities are in very old condition. The worst aspect is that there is no noise proof; one can easily hear even chats/radio/TV from next door. Even the noise from the antique air conditioner cannot cover these noise.

We had a really nice suite at a really good price. A walk from many good restaurants and shops. Also close to the Metro so you can leave your car parked. Only complaint is that the hotel bar/restaurant closed too early on Tuesday night.

House keeping does a lazy clean as there were still tissue papers on the floor that had fallen the night before. There are no roll away bed options which was a bit inconvenient for four people to one rom with only double beds; but overall the area is central to metro stations and other food areas, and the staff is trained to over extend themselves it seems. The front desk attendant was a jerk. We went here for our WEDDING night and we showed up me in my gown and my husband in his tux, and the attendant did not once say congratulations, and apart from that he was rude and told me to calm down when I asked him what was taking so long. Gorgeous room, but horrible attendant. I talked to the manager in the morning and he said he would be refunding half the cost of the room. We will see if it happens. Gorgeous room though, it was room 900 and had a panaramic view of the city. AMAZING!

From the minute I walked in the attendant was "Johnny on the Spot". Took my bags, my car, big smile. I went to check in and was greeted by two smiling, friendly clerks. They put me in a fantastic room. Very clean, robe, amenities, quiet. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Just amazing all around. The front desk staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. Super accommodating room service was like having maid service they literally did everything from wash dishes to vaccum. The doorman were helpful polite and friendly. They don't mind helping with bags or swiping a key card. The Night Time Desk staff he remembered my name and made us feel extremely safe. The food and drinks are amazing especially the salmon that I had twice.Rooms are very spacious and open.
