"Nice hotel and good location"
The hotel staff is very nice, the location of the hotel was great and the rooms are spacious and clean. It was a little noisy in the mornings but apart from that, I do recommend it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, easy to get everywhere"
The staff is very polite, great willingness to provide great service.Genuine Expedia guest review
Loved the coziness of the room and the location was perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
Treadmills on second floor make for a pounding wake up call! No apologies. They also "generously" upgraded us to a suite that overlooked the garbage stuffed alley. To top it off they will park you for $37 while not mentioning you can park literally 3 feet further away for $10 less.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"enjoyed my stay"

this was our first time at this hotel and our first time in Washington D.C.!! Everyone at the hotel was very nice, including the valet team, which we used alot! i would definitely stay there again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Travelling for business - St. Gregory is a gem"
Good for work, great location and courteous staff, great working desk!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very friendly staff. Great location about midway between the Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom metro stops.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent location, close to everything"
The hotel was perfect for a business trip, with comfort and cleanliness. The only thing that would've be great is complimentary internet access. They charge a 24-hour fee for wireless internet access.Genuine Expedia guest review
"my two cents"
Overall stay in hotel was good and hotel was in a good location. I did have one issue. I had to pay $12.00 for 24 hours of internet per device. I had two devices which meant $24.00. In this day and age I find this unacceptable. Free wifi should be included in the room rate (just like hot water, electricity etc). For this reason alone I would not return […] to this hotel. "Friendly, engaging staff; fabulous accomodations."
Check-in was a breeze. It was my birthday and the manager was terrific in upgrading my rtoom! How cool is that. Everyone was friendly and helpful - I was directed to a lovely restaurant for some of the best cappucino and cake. Spotless room. Fantastic location - walking distance to beautiful Georgetown and many restaurants. I had a fantastic time and […] would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, but not perfect"
The room was nice, though there was an awkward looking divider between my room and the neighboring one. Complementary Oreos and the toiletries won me over. The heating/cooling unit is somewhat old and doesn't allow you to set a temperature (I got too hot during the night).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Anniversary Weekend Getaway"
Great place at a great price. Perfect central DC location to all of our favorite spots. They upgraded us for free to a suite because I told them it was our anniversary! Friendly staff. Thank you for making our weekend special.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is wonderful and i recommend this to other people visiting dc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great, clean, friendly small hotel in an excellent location in the heart of DC"
Excellent location in the heart of DC for our business meeting. Wonderful, friendly staff gave us great service, and the adjoining restaurant was quiet with delicious food. Rooms were very clean and the hotel had all the amenities we needed. A bit noisy out on the street, but a minor issue.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable with Friendly Staff"
We got this hotel via one of Expedia's "mystery hotel" deals whereby one chooses an unknown hotel in a certain part of town and gets a lower rate as a result. I chose an unknown in Georgetown, or so I thought, but the actual wording was "Georgetown Area," and sure, enough, the St. Gregory is a bit of a hike from Georgetown. But we were OK with this, […] because the hotel was also a few block's from our son's apartment, and friends had stayed here last May and been happy with it. The St. Gregory is a friendly place--the staff was very helpful--with a bar off the lobby. We had no complaints about the room, which had plenty of closet space and a mini-fridge. If there is any drawback to it for some, it's that it's not handy enough by foot to too many attractions and not in a hopping part of town. Also, the parking is expensive, but that is pretty typical of Washington. We did not eat breakfast here, so I can't comment on the food, but the exercise room has very limited machines. Everything about the hotel was enjoyable and first class - front desk attendants, housekeeping staff, concierge, M Street lounge, and cleanliness of hotel room and other rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but odd concierge"
Hotel and staff were both very nice but the concierge checking us in was odd and rude when he said "its a nice room don't trash it" completely uncalled for.Genuine Expedia guest review
"I liked it"
I was only there one night. Good location. Staffers were friendly. Room was clean. TV was situated oddly is really the only weird thing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, comfortable hotel"
Got a good price got this very good hotel. Weekend stay. Everything I needed for basic comforts, perfect location. Would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel but not really luxury"
This is a good hotel in an okay location in DC. There's nothing especially remarkable about it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel, noisy housekeeping"
This hotel is very nice, the only real negative that I have is that the housekeeping crew was very very loud (but very very polite!). I had a few late nights for work and tried to sleep in, and was very abruptly woken up by housekeeping in the room next store slamming doors and throwing things around. I was very annoyed by this and made me not want […] to stay here again if I know I want peace and quiet. Overall, very pleasant room, however. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent room in a mellow, slightly frayed hotel"
Arrived late - left early. Lobby was mellow. People were polite and helpful. The $37 parking seemed high, but at 9PM Sunday nite I wasn't going to look for cheaper. The room (deluxe) was really great. Big- very clean- large marble floor bathroom with all extras- comfortable king bed. Good price/ good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice balcony"
We stayed in a suite like room on the top floor which had a HUGE balcony that was really nice. We did not use any of the hotel service as we were only there very late and left very early. "It was my boyfriend and I's first time staying"
From the moment my boyfriend and I got there it was a wonderful experience. The doorman was friendly and directed us to the counter where we were given a complimentary upgrade because it was our first time in the hotel. The junior suite was beautiful and spacious. There was a business center so we could get some work done whilst at the hotel as well […] as a fitness area on our floor. We also had brunch at the St Gregory on Sunday and the food and service was immaculate. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to DC that wants a great experience. I received a great weekend price. The room was appropriate for what I paid. I would not however have paid weekday prices to stay there. The staff was the best part. Very kind and accommodating!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Appliances are old, front desk was not friendly or attentive as they should, space was great in the room and the location of the hotel is A+.Genuine Expedia guest review
Reservation was denied even with copy in hand frm Expedia. Gave us a room awaiting renovation (1 star or less) took two hours of debate next day to get what we had reserved two months earlier. Over nine days I passed by numerous people getting the same story at the desk. Staff were friendly and helpful; management not so muchGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Everything"
We haev stayed at St. Gregory many times and it is definitely our hotel of choice. Wonderful in every way.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Run-down hotel, rate not reflective of room qualit"
My room at the hotel was badly in need of cosmetic and functional repairs. The carpet was old and worn, the knobs on the bathroom door were two different colors, the pillows were horribly lumpy, the sheets were thin and rough, the TV sits inside the closet and does not extend out ( impossible to see from one of the beds), wi-fi is slow, bathtub had […] a large stain/marking of some kind, wooden blinds on windows look 50 years old. Excellent studio, although I did not request one. LOTS of closet space and a complete small kitchen. I could imagine living full-time in DC in a suite like this! Very clean hotel only a few blocks to Dupont Circle & METRO stop. I highly recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A great experience in DC"
This was my first time staying in any hotel in DC; St. Gregory made it a fine experience. The staff was attentive; everything was neat and clean. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. The minor nits that I have to pick - the breakfast at the in-hotel restaurant was fine but unremarkable. The wi-fi service in the hotel room simply could not be connected […] to any device, and I am an IT professional. Fortunately, my phone was getting a good signal to my providers data network, and we were mostly out on the town, so this was much less of a bother than it might have otherwise been. Those few things aside, it was a great experience. I would stay again; it was an excellent locale from which to launch my exploration of DC. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location great service ."
Everyone on the staff went out of their way to help us with any and everything we could ask for. The next time we are in Washington we will stay at St. Gregory.Genuine Expedia guest review
There was no bottle of champagne in the room which was one of the deal catchers for me. The telephone in the bed room didn't work and I had to go to the sitting room to use it. At $12 per unit per day for WiFi is just highway robber. $37 per night without a come and go pass is outrageous. I felt nickled and dimed at every turn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Upgraded to the best room in the hotel when we got there! It was the size of an apartment. Awesome experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good for business trip !!"
This is a simple hotel you can't go wrong with and there's nothing to complain. "Convenient for work trips"
Close to the office. Decent amenities. Could use a better gym, but my office has a great one, so it wasn't a big deal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I booked this hotel based off of expedia reviews and I'm so glad I did! The St. Gregory was lovely, the staff was excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room nice and clean. The water pressure in the shower was perfect. Seriously, the best shower I've ever had. I was actually sad to leave! Hotel was located in a nice, safe location near […] lots of restaurants and other amenities. "Nice hotel. Good value."
Liked the hotel so much I extended my stay one day. Issues with A/C and phones in the room were addressed immediately by staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
The first night, someone entered my room after midnight. The front desk had inadvertently placed another guest into my room. The second night a woman was assaulted on my floor at approximately 3:30 a.m. The response of staff was pro forma apologetic. I felt like demanding a refund. But since Expedia had already fouled up my reservation, resulting in […] my waiting three hours to be admitted to a room, and doubling my stay's cost -- when calling them they promised to "fix" the reservation by sending the hotel a fax (They promised three separate times, three separate phone calls, to fix the reservation to the correct dates, but never did.) I felt beaten down. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Our stay at the St. Gregory was fine. I've had more comfortable beds at other hotels, but something I need to point out is the value. Couldn't have had a room in that location for that price point at any other hotel. The hot water did take more than a few minutes to become suitably warm, but other than that, it did it's job. Also, it's worth 'checking […] in' on yelp. We were able to get free high speed internet through a yelp deal. The bar and restaurant could have more to be desired, but it was a perfectly fine stay. Check out is at noon, which I found just a bit early, but not the most egregious of issues. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good on a tight budget"
Checked in for only one night based upon reviews; we didn't want to be locked into something that we didn't like. It was a wise move. While the room was spotless, it was so poorly lit and outdated that we checked out the next morning. I specifically booked the St. Gregory to have a kitchenette but having a full sized ( and OLD) oven and dishwasher right […] in the room was not at all what I had in mind (we had a Junior suite). Not to mention that it took all potential closet and dresser space. the "living room" was so outdated and uncomfortable that we couldn't use it. the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom big and very clean but did not have a fan or window. I'd come back if renovations were made. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Accessible to all major landmarks"
It is a beautiful room with good interiors. It has lot of options for food in a walk able distance. With a quick walk we can reach White House from where all other landmarks are close by. i recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a luxury experience in a good price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a luxury hotel"
I'm not sure why this is listed as a luxury hotel. It was pretty basic. The decor was dated, and the service was a little slow, but friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
$12 per day per device for wifi, what? The wine that was advert. as 79.49 was really a 5.99 bottle???? No parking if you drive a pickup. The room was ok and the staff, but no free wifi, unheard of. Esp at "luxury" blah is how feel about itGenuine Expedia guest review
"A "Sleeper" Hotel"
This hotel is on par with some of the best hotels I have stayed in around the world for decor, comfort, and service. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and had a refrigerator. The staff was great. Only downside is limited lobby space and food options but that is more than offset by a great neighborhood location just a couple of blocks south […] of DuPont Circle where you can find a wide range of casual or upscale restaurants and coffee shops. No self parking but I was able to use street parking and save on the $37 daily valet rate. If you want to feel like you spent a night at a friends house in DC, this is it. I got a super low rate on Hotels.com for three nights, less than I would have paid at a much lower quality hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
