"I enjoyed my stay in the 2 room suite it was great"
The hotel was in a great location good price. They could use a preferred customer card to offer a few discounts on internet and parking but otherwise service was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is one if the best hotels you will find in DC. Friendly staff, very nice rooms, nice bar and outside bar. It is near metro and Dupont Circle. It is also a short walk down M Street to shops and restaurants in Georgetown. No desire to stay elsewhereGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Microwave did not work in the room however at dinner was given a discount for the inconvenience. That was good customer service. However was traveling on government and contacted the hotel to see if tax exempt was honored; the answer was yes but once checking out; it was not although showing gov't credit card. (: Was not happy with the switch on departure. […] So service would have been a five if it wasn't for this hiccup! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location but ..."
This is my third stay at St. Gregory, but I don't think I'll return. I had trouble getting a good night's sleep because of the noisy air conditioner and the sirens and ambulances that roared past the hotel on a Friday night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotels.com should be more specific about the parking. When we arrived the parking garage for the hotel does not accommodate mini vans. We had to park 2 blocks away. Not the most pleasant thing when you are not expecting this. And the parking cost $36.00. This to me does not count as parking on site. Parking on site is free. Will not ever return back […] to this to hotel. Way to far of a walk with a 1 year old for any of the DC sites. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, spacious room"
The hotel is conveniently located between Dupont Circle and Georgetown; easy walk to reach both areas. There is a nice restaurant (Bistro M) on the premises with a great Sunday Brunch. We would go back to this hotel with no hesitation. We only have two minor complaints 1. No hair conditioner was provided (my wife’s complaint) 2. The pillows were not […] truly comfortable (my complaint). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely hotel, convenient location"
Stayed here recently on a get-away weekend. The hotel is only a few blocks from either Dupont Circle or Foggy Bottom metro stops, and is close to several restaurants. The staff were all very helpful, professional and pleasant, and the room was lovely. As an Expedia Elite member, I was upgraded to a junior suite, so had a ton of room, as well as a full […] kitchenette, which I didn't really take advantage of, but would have been brilliant if I had been staying longer. The only possible drawback is that is located very much in a business district, so many things around it are closed on the weekend, but that worked for me in terms of quiet. I ate at the hotel's restaurant for Saturday brunch and highly recommend the chicken and waffles! Would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel loved location"
Really can't say anything bad the staff was great. Love the hotel bar and staff in the bar very friendly and helpful with ideas on where to go and what to do. Will stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
As a local only love 25 miles from the city. This will be my hotel of choice from now on when I can't make it home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Another Great Experience"
I have stayed at here 3 times in the last year. Always clean, friendly, helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location near GW and Dupont Circle"
This was conveniently located and surprisingly appealing. I like hotels that have a restaurant and this was good and reasonable, and also I could bring food and drinks to the room with ease. The Marilyn in the lobby set a fun vibe, and not your typical sterile hotel experience. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Second time around is better than the first."
This is a great hotel, that I will look forward to staying at again. Stayed here previously for a day. This 4 day stay was great with a day to relax after a conference in the area. The Hotels.com price was of great value to me, even though my office paid for it. Will be in D.C. in another month, look to stay at the St. Gregory.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The St. Gregory is nothing short of outstanding. Room was clean and luxurious. They also had live entertainment on Sunday morning at the hotel restaurant during brunch. Don't second guess yourself, stay at St. Gregory.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"i will never go again"
I and my friend shave tayed in sweet room for three days and it was terrible it was so noisy outside. I couldn`t sleep at all because housekeeping room is right next to our room. Also, heat was not working. I will never go again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Little Find"
The Valet, Bellman, Front Desk, and Housekeeping were ALL very pleasant and professional. Impressed with the security feature of elevators which require room key card to get to one's floor (although don't have both your hands full when you get in the elevator or you'll be juggling things to coordinate the room key card slide and button push). My room […] was very clean and all my expectations met. Location turned out to be terrific if one attends Catholic Mass and/or has interest in 175 year old Cathedrals - the hotel is only 2 1/2 blocks from St. Matthews, which has mosaics and artwork as part of its amazing architecture, an excellent choir, and for political history buffs, where the funeral Mass for President Kennedy was conducted (check out the floor tiles just in front of the alter for notation) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Solid place. Definitely worth the money for the location. The bed was comfortable, the service was quick, the room was clean. The location is great --- lots of bars, restaurants, sites, and the Metro within close walking distance. Only two complaints we have were the lack of free internet and the house keeping woman literally unlocked and walked into […] our room at 9:30am (we were still asleep, until I heard the door open) - check out is at 12pm, but I guess you really need to put that do not disturb sign on when you stumble back to the hotel at 2am. "Luxury in name only"
There is a certain level of attention that the word luxury implies. I was not greeted upon arrival, only asked for a credit card for incidentals. My room was on a floor under construction which was not disclosed to me at check-in. upon arrival on my floor I was greeted by a "please pardon our dust" placard. The room number was taped to the door. The […] room itself was on par with many of the rooms in D.C., which means not updated but well appointed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs a Refresh"
I've stayed at the St. Gregory before and have generally been very satisfied. However, I think things are becoming a bit dated and many details are showing signs of wear. e.g. blinds that don't work right, electronics (tv and radio) that are outdated and/or non- functional, leaky faucet in the bathroom, a faucet handle that turned in the wrong direction […] (the result of careless plumbing installation). So, I like the place but it needs an overall update and upgraded maintenance standards. The staff, location, convenience are all very good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel near Conference location"
The staff were very helpful at the location. The stay was for business and very enjoyable. The dining experience was good. The valet parking was expensive but the location was very convenient.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Could use updates, but comfortable overall."
The location is great. The accomodations were comfortable and very clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"SUV's not welcome - walls thin - loud!!!!"
SUVs over 6 foot will not fit in garage, you must drive to Marriot down a couple blocks. Can be an unexpected hassle for a late arrival and early departure. Had a very noisy party next door - that quieted after security arrived. But was still too loud for sleep way into the night. An unpleasant stay - all in all. Room nice, clean. Staff pleasant.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good location. WiFi should be available at no charge. Parking very expensive.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very nice hotel in a good location Friendly stuff, good business center, good value for your money. I would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Next to my room there was extremely loud music. This went on until 0430AM, manager did not do much and did not return what I paid for that night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, not far from Dupont Circle."
The room was very comfortable, nice shower. It would be nice if wi-fi had been included; it was not. I also found the parking rate high. Otherwise, a nice hotel, close to Dupont Circle, which is one of our favorite areas of D.C.Genuine Expedia guest review
"1 year anniversary!"
Great rate through Expedia! Every thing went well food is great staff is great no complaints!Genuine Expedia guest review
A nice stay. Walking distance to sites, and convenient all around. Staff was courteous and helpful. Plusses - clean, convenient, quite. Minuses - beware the hotel guys calling the cabs... Typical scam... If you're out to the airport, they'll call their buddy and charge more for the cut... While you watch dozens of available cabs go by...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, lovely staff"
The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the Mall, the Smithsonian, the Capitol and the White House. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated and the staff was wonderfully helpful. The room we were in was on the small side, especially the bathroom, but was clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location. Understated, high quality hotel."
I visit Washington several times a month and move around from hotel to hotel. All business, rarely family travel. This was my second stay at St. Gregory and I was impressed. As part of the Expedia Elite program I got upgraded to a junior suite, which is the size of NY apartment. I had so much room I hardly knew what to do. The service and room quality […] were excellent. One small complaint: room service stops at, I think, 9 PM, which can be a problem (as it was for me) if you end up getting back, famished at 11. The immediate area is safe enough, but deserted at night with no restaurants or bars within the few blocks that I checked. Other than that, it's a good place. Would return. "Wont give you frequent airlines miles as announced"
Just to inform that even if they have a brochure to present your Airline loyalty program for hotel stays, they wont give it to you, unless you have reserved the hotel directly with them.... Which is very rare at these times that people will directly reserve. So, I had an argument with the manager since it did not say in the brochure. To me, this is […] false advertisement, and I really hate that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Jr. Suite at a Great Price"
Our only downside was the lack free wifi in the rooms or in the lobby. The business center did allow us to print our boarding passes for free, so that was a plus. Very nice hotel in a great DC area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"noise and lousy heating system"
Room next to dumpsters, very disturbing all all nite. Heating system hard to set to maintain comfortable room tempeture. Unjustified surcharge upon checkout, can only assume they expected me not to use the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice spacy room..."
... and very friendly staff, great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but, the room needed a lot of repairs."
The room was a nice size, but the kitchen was missing some utensils, the refrigerator was loud. There was a humungous square cut out in the carpet that had been poorly repaired. The pedistal sink in the bathroom was loose from the wall so all of the water didn't go down the drain. There was an 2.5" gap in between the bottom of the room door and the […] floor. So every noise and conversation that occurred in the hall could be easily heard. Maybe it was just the room I stayed in. Deffinately don't stay in room 412. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel, Great Location!"
Everything about the hotel was beautiful. The people were very friendly and the room was very clean. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that parking was an ADDITIONAL $37. as much as the room cost, parking should have been included for guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Beds and pillows weren't high end quality but sufficient enough. Location great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not so luxury"
very courteous staff, the room was very clean. the doorknob fell off, the television was set up in the closet and it was hard to watch it with mirrored closet doors. also the tv in the living room had no volumeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet Comfortable Hotel Near Dupont Circle"
Small, Quiet with comfortable room,s pleasant and helpful staff and a convienient DC location --what's not to like?Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel and room. Only thing missing was a place to buy bottled water. The options were limited to one vending machine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent! The hotel was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We arrived late in the evening so I called ahead and they pre-checked us in. All I had to do was show I'd and cc and room key was in hand in 5 minutes! The room was so big. I was in awe! The hotel is a few blocks from the subway but because of the cold we took a taxi which they […] had a few waiting outside. Loved the valet parking too. Hotel restaurant was also great. They had a restaurant month deal that's allowed us to choose anything on the menu. No will be returning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"place was terrible"
I'd rather sleep in a dirty hostile with overgrown zoo animalsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean rooms. Great price. Quality hotel, I would stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is way outdated with funky bedspreads from the 80's, beds that slope inward, and bathrooms that smell like either stale cigarrettes or stale chicken wings (we couldn't t figure it out). We paid for the upgrade they try to pitch you on but it wasn't much of an upgrade. It seems the strategy at this hotel is to get you in on a cheap nightly […] rate and then trick/exploit you on everything else. We were charged a rediculous amount per night for parking although the lot next door was only charging a fraction of the amount (we thought we were getting the same rate, but like I said, they trick/exploit you). We complained to the staff but they weren't appologetic. This place is on par with a motel 6. Just skip it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Night on the town"
Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Great rate and location in DC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I took an impromptu trip with our five year old daughter and stumbled upon this hotel. Everything was great except for the partying 20-somethings in the room beside us who started up around 6:00a.m. Hotel staff knocked on their door a couple of times and addressed the issue and then finally hotel security arrived. The noise continued […] for at least another 30 minutes. While I understand that this issue is more about the rudeness of the occupants, I believe that it is the hotel staff that is responsible for ensuring that their guests have a pleasant stay. It is their responsibility to fix the problem as quickly as possible and they did not in this case. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
