"One night stop over in Miami"
We were on our way back from Capri and our flight took us thru Miami so my wife and I decided to make the most of it and stay an extra night. Knowing we did now want to stay in South Beach mega hotels we were excited to come across Casa Claridge in the Arts District. I immediately liked the decor and the size and its a very short walk to the beach (it is not ocean front). A pool would have been nice but oh well. Also the bar & restaurant looked interesting as well and was. And they have happy hour every day 4-7pm. All was great and we were pleased except there is a TON of construction next door and pretty much all over (from the Faena group which owns Casa Caridge and is developing the whole neighborhood and I'm sure will be amazing when it's all done ) but in the meantime it's pretty intense and the hotel could do a better job of making guests aware of the construction and obstructed views but overall staff was all very accommodating and very nice and professional and did take care of our requests. Also it's a great price for the location and cool boutique hotel. Definitley would recommend for short stay.

"Loud construction notice was disappointing."
The 2 reasons I gave the comfort level of the hotel a "3" for OK was because at 7 am was because the construction began outside our window and woke each one of us. It was pretty loud and annoying and awakened each one of us. Also, showers were taken at about 8:30 am and there was absolutely no hot water for any of us. It was very disappointing. Otherwise, the linens and towels were white, crisp and very nice quality....a tell tale sign of a better than average hotel. We stayed in Rm 31 with 2 queen beds, just as we were expecting.

"Claridge: feel the noize"
Very nice staff; nice clean room except for the lack of full length mirror. A block from the beach. Downside is our third floor room sounded like it was at street level in the middle lane: noisy as all get out at all hours of the day and night, like traffic was in the room with us.

"Flying visit"
Very late check in, night staff warned by phone, very receptive as was the night security when we arrived. Although when we checked out just four hours later with the same lady from our check-in she presented us with the a very large bill for someone who had been there for 3 days! Room very clean and well-presented, if a little cramped around the bed (only one bedside table and lamp probably for this reason); too much furniture other unnecessary furniture for a room that size. Disappointed that there was no coffee in room; needed it for our early get up and restaurant not open for another two hours. Overall design/layout/feel reminiscent of the many Spanish pensións that we have stayed at in Europe, so full marks for that. Would have liked to try the breakfast to see what the food was like but our timeline precluded this, shame. Beware of 2 things (not the hotel's fault!); location of this and presumably most other hotels is directly under Miami international flight path, for the record the last plane of the day thundered overhead at about 02:15 and the first one of the next (same!) day at 05:45; light sleepers bring earplugs! Road noise pretty loud too, but that's pretty much standard for such a central location from experience. Beware nearest available carpark (no hotel facility for this) opposite charges $1 a minute! from 08:00-18:00 overnight parking free, so we got away with it but others may not. Handy for the convention center where we had to be for business.

"Fantastic Boutique Hotel"
LOVED this little boutique hotel! Stopped to experience the Miami Beach area and found this a perfect spot to see the beaches, visit the tourist areas, but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Hotel was gorgeous and staff was extremely helpful, fun to talk with, and accommodated any needs we may have had. We have already referred others to this destination and will continue to do so. Thank you for a great little stop/stay.

Casa Clarion was being remodeled, it is still a very beautiful "Small" hotel. The noise, dust, were overcome by a wonderful staff. Walls are thin, you get to know your neighbors well. The rooms are beautiful well appointed, great beds.. Area Rugs in lobby and in rooms are slip and fall traps. Still gets a 5

"Stay as long as you dont mind the extra costs..."
We called ahead before making our reservation to confirm if they were "on the beach". We were told yes. They also said there was parking available across the street. The hotel is across a major road, Collins and the parking is metered and you have to go every three hours to feed the meter. Otherwise it is 28.00 a day to valet park. The hotel itself was beautiful and the people were friendly and helpful. The room was small with no real view of anything but the side of the next building. For the money we paid, we would have liked a better view and for it to really be "on the beach".

"Fantastic experience"
Great stay at this hotel. Easy, 3 minute walk to the boardwalk, newly renovated (finished august 2014), clean spacious room. Merges the classiness of the original early 20th century design with the convenience of today's amenities and luxuries. Comfortable bed, powerful A/C, incredibly kind staff that was eager to assist. Called for iron and board, delivered to room in 5 minutes. Wasn't even given the chance to lift my own luggage from cab up the stairs to the lobby before two staff members did it for me with a smile and warm welcome. Felt like I had arrived at an old friend's home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

"Nice hotel but beware of valet parking"
Generally a good experience. The hotel is lovely and about a 30 min walk from south beach attractions. The breakfast is delicious too (though expensive). One severe negative though was that a couple of chocolate bars in our car mysteriously dissapeared when under the care of the hotels valet parking.. Though I am not so bothered about the loss of some chocolate, the fact that they were hidden away in the glove compartment means that the culprit must have deliberately searched the car. Thank god we didn't leave any money or valuables behind!

"Great find!"
08/29/15 Pineapples-a-Plenty Miami, Florida
Terrific experience! Claridge's may be new to us, but it happens to be an historic building right in the midst of Miami Beach. Had an exceptional time there. They are part of the Faena Group, the new eye-popping development that is currently under construction. Condo buildings, an amazing auditorium, and an incredible hotel. As for Casa Claridge's, it's been renovated, and staffed with a talented group of young people. It's small, comfortable, open, airy. Very hospitable team. We had an excellent stay.

"Outstanding Boutique Spot for a Weekend Get-Away"
08/29/15 DHR409
My wife and I booked Casa Claridge in Miami Beach on airline points and were delighted at the boutique hotel. Great decor, friendly staff, and nice location. The hotel is on the lower end of Mid Beach so walkable to South Beach without the crowds and noise. Small but nicely decorated room made for a great couples get-away atmosphere. The lobby bar is pleasant with very nice appetizers.

"Get Away to South Beach"

Hubby and I stayed at the Casa Claridge for 3 days. We loved the room and the service. Beach was right across the street with free towels, umbrella and chairs. Boardwalk across the street is wonderful and lite up at nite for a relaxing stroll. Restuarant was ok, didnt have many food choices. There are many other choices outside the hotel. Our chihuahua was welcomed warmly, too bad he wasnt allowed on the beach :-( . Valet parking was $27/day or you could choose the parking site across the street but you would have to deposit $3 every 3 hrs when the meter started over, not very convenient. The only down side to this hotel is the noise..there is construction across the street and right next door...the noise is constant all day long and we experienced one night of pipe moving until 1am. Hotel manager offered us another room but it was our last nite and it would have been too much trouble to pack up and move. Besides the noise this hotel is perfect for a slow relaxing stay on south beach.

"Great staff, beautiful room"
08/12/15 Brooks B Houston, Texas
The staff was great - they helped me out in a lot of ways, and were genuinely kind and attentive. It's a smaller hotel, so there were regular staff members who did not treat you like a stranger at any time. The room was fantastic and the hotel was very well-kept in general. Right across the beach, they have their own cabanas and chairs, etc, which each guest can utilize a couple of times without any extra charge. I think the only problem was all the construction in the surrounding neighborhood, but it seemed like all of Miami Beach and South Beach was under construction. It wasn't that big of a deal anyway. I had a great time! I always love visiting Miami, and will definitely stay at Casa Claridge's again.

"Noisy, noisy"
08/09/15 Urbangarden129 Winnipeg, Canada
My son and I stayed for a few nights in February. The hotel is located north of South Beach (about a 30 minute walk along the boardwalk). The room was well appointed and the one minor issue with the water being shutoff was fixed very quickly. There is a construction site right next door which had cement trucks delivering for over 30 hours straight. Our room faced the site and the associated lights and noise. I appreciate that it is not the hotel's doing but a warning about the construction should have been posted on the website as this project will be ongoing for a few years. Also a token of some sort would have been appreciated as the entire staff was aware of the construction continuing throughout the night. I booked the breakfast plan which was a waste as the plan only covers one of the menu items. The hotel would not credit the difference in cost of the breakfast plan as to what was ordered. Kinda cheapy cheapy on their part as this restriction was not easily discernible until checkout. That being said, the breakfast selections were all very delicious. The beach club consists of a small shack on the beach that dispenses towels and loungers. Again not much value. Overall the room and staff were good, the value not so much.

"Beautiful Historic Boutique Hotel"
07/26/15 Richard S
When we can, our preference is to stay in a member of the Historic Hotels of America which this artsy hostelry is. It was a beautiful, albeit short stay, more like staying in a grand apartment building which it started as than a hotel. The lobby and common areas were classic 1920s South Beach Beaux Arts feel if not technical architectural style. The room we stayed in was comfortable and attractive. There little restaurant was not remarkable in any respect, not a major drawback in South Beach.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Miami. it isn't your large chain hotel but I love the decor and staff here. The room was beautiful, clean, and the one I booked included a beautiful balcony with an amazing view. I really enjoyed the old but new Spanish charm. The bartender downstairs was so kind and made a great sangria. The location for me is ideal because its not directly located in the busy crowded and sometimes hectic south beach but close enough to walk or drive to it, if thats what you want to do. So during the day I enjoy the serenity of the calmer side of the beach and at night walked or took a cab to the action. I will return and always recommend.

"Good hotel but poor location for nearby restaurants & bars"
06/22/15 Andrew O
We liked this hotel although the location left a lot to be desired. It was a great location for the beach, however it is at least a 15 min bus ride away from the main bars and restaurants - there are only other hotels at this end of Collins Avenue. There was also ALOT of construction literally next door and opposite the hotel - we even witnessed one hotel being demolished! However, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable.  The hotel rooms were also lovely - we spent 6 nights in no.25 which was fine, however we also spent one night in no.22 and could hear everything the couple in the adjoining room was getting up to as the walls were very thin! The food was ok but very expensive for what we got and the drinks were also very pricey so we never went to to the bar for that reason. Apart from our comments above, the hotel, which had an Art Deco design had character and pleasant staff.  However we would probably not stay here again due to the location.
