"Great hotel in downtown"
we checked in the Executive room which was clean and comfortable, however it was a bit chili at night. Overall it was very good and close to everything that matters.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel for a reasonable price."
Just the parking guys didn't speak English and didn't want to try too. The other staffs were helpfully. Well located hotel, good food and bars around. The hotel is clean with good service. Our room was clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Le Nouvel Hotel"
Nice view of the street, nice spacious room. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Good service and amenities.Genuine Expedia guest review
I don't think I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends , Internet didn't work, leaky pipes ,room smelled like stale cigarettesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel Le Nouvel"
Very quiet despite being on a busy street, close to everything. If you look, you can find parking on the street, but there is also paid parking right behind the hotel. Front desk staff were very professional and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Love the spa on site but they close 1 hr earlier than what the web said.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel if you want to shop and go out."
internet was a bit slow and the ethernet connection was broken, but they sent a staff member up immediately to try to fix it. Otherwise the room, (the king bed "condo"), was extremely large, comfortable, and well equipped. The bed was great and the pillows were very nice. The staff was very friendly as well and the location is excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Absolutely great for the price."
Considering the hotel was barely more expensive than the cheapest hotels I could find in downtown Montreal, I felt like I got a lot for the money I paid. Room was big, clean, and had all of the typical ammenities. Parking was available for a reasonable price in the basement levels of the hotel. The location of the hotel was great. It was an easy walk […] to St. Catherines street and there were lots of good restaurants and bars near by. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It is a very nice Hotel-my room was not ready and then when it was it was not the size bed I wanted, but took care of me and upgraded me to a very nice room. The only problem I found was it was not dusted very good. The location was good for the subway - bus and of curse the shopping I was a single female and felt very save. "Would not recommend"
Room was dirty. Pillow cases were dirty. Someones hair in the bathroom, and not 1. No cold water in my shower. The only positive part of my experience was that staff was friendly. This hotel is in need of updating desperately, which I would be ok with if it was clean. It was cheaper than most of the other downtown hotels, but I would have spent the […] extra $40 or $50 to stay decent room. "Perfect location & business traveler friendly"
I've stayed here on business several times over the last two years and find it easy to get into, and out of, which makes it a great base to travel anywhere to. Easy access all major highways and bridges. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Very clean & comfy rooms. I'd highly recommend the place to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location and fantastic staff!"
Very friendly and responsive staff - they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Great location if you want to walk around downtown Montreal and five minute walk to both the bus stop and metro station. The room was fantastic - extremely spacious and you could easily stay for 7-10 days in comfort.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was a goid stay nothing exciting. The staff are helpful and nice. I recommend this hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is in a super-convenient location. There was a problem with my check-in reservation made on-line which was quickly resolved by the front desk manager who was polite, professional and thorough. We stayed in the condo-suite/kitchenette part of the hotel. It had the basics: stove top, fridge, microwave. Minuses: noisy air conditioning system, […] the window sills need plastering/painting, the hair dryer didn't work. Parking is available for a fee (convenient & it's in a secure garage where you can come & go easily). "Close access to everything,"
Overall our stay was a little above satisfactory. I would rate higher if we had not had the plumbing problems in our rooms with showers & commodes, however, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. If the showers and commodes are updated, I would consider staying there again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location. Clean rooms. Nice atmosphere. I recommends to everyoneGenuine Expedia guest review
"OK For Price"
While I was expecting a bit nicer ambiance, the hotel is ok for the price. Our room was clean, but it certainly needs updating. I did not see the suites, so I cannot comment on those. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. I do not recommend the breakfast buffet. It was very average but cost an extra $12.95. The scrambled eggs were cold; I could […] not eat them. Our bill for the buffet included a gratuity; the only service the servers provided was pouring coffee. I am a generous tipper, but I prefer to leave that option to my discretion. "We got what we needed!"
The hotel is just ok! The furniture in the room is kind like old, I guess it needs a renovation. Room was clean, service was good. Hotel was very nice for the money. Beware, you must pay extra for parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room wasn't very clean, the linens were absolutely awful!! The white towels were grey with stains thet looked worse then my rags at home. The bathroom wasn't very clean, tile cracked on vanity, mold in toilet bowel. Someone had spit on the side of the bureau and it ran down the side and dried... It was right next to the garbage can so I'm certain […] the cleaning staff is aware. We requested additional towels and had to call again after waiting two hours. "one night stay"
2 blocks from the 747 stop (the bus from the airport), one block from Ste. Catherine's, where all the shopping is. Nice shower, nice linens but no free breakfast. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice hotel with a cheap Expedia price"
My only concerns were: 1) In my part of the hotel, there was no internet access. Because I'm from the US and my cell phone was nearly useless, e-mail was my only practical way to communicate with family. I had to go to the lobby to check my e-mail. That is the only reason why I rated the "condition and upkeep of the hotel" as 4 not 5. 2) I didn't know […] that the continental breakfast was not included. I got the breakfast and the attendant said my room didn't come with it so she'd give me a check after (after I filled my plate!). When it got the check for the breakfast buffet, it was over $16 US! The other days, you can bet, I had other arrangements for breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was perfectly adequate. Service was good and no complaints. I would stay there again next time I'm in Montréal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good downtown Montreal hotel especially with a car"
Nouvel Hotel is a quiet, comfortable hotel at an excellent price for downtown Montreal. It's a little farther away from the core city center than some hotels, but convenient to both the orange and green metro lines, easy to drive in/out of town, and only $15 for the self-park garage. It's a great location for attending an event at the Bell Centre, and […] it's close to the restaurants on Crescent St. For us, the only negative was a loud bathroom exhaust fan. "Nice hotel in downtown Montreal"
Very nice hotel. Booked through Hotels.com and was still given an upgrade since I was staying for the week. Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable 'condo' style room with kitchenette and laundry. Nice downtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Check-in and check-out was fast. All staff speak both French and English and some Spanish. The hotel is centrally located. Within walking distance to restaurants, banks and shopping. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the orange line of the metro is two blocks away. We parked for $15 per day […] in a secure underground lot. It was easy in and out. The hotel is a mix of residents and hotel guests. We were upgraded to a clean, bright condo studio in a quiet floor. Hotel is in a good spot, close to many resturants and bars easy 5 min walk to 2 metro lines and 8 min walk to Cresent street. Has in an out parking for $15C per day. "Great time at Le Nouvel"
The hotel was just as expected. Comfortable, clean, and the service was good. I liked the location as it was close to a metro station. It was a long walk from the Old Port but accessible by metro. Our room was very comfortable and we were given a King room, which we preferred, upon check-in despite having booked the two queen beds room. Wifi is free […] and worked well. The staff was so friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable and very close to the Metro. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to pay a little less to be off the beaten path, but still close enough to the action. I will be staying there again sometime in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Value in Downtown Montreal"
While I usually stay closer to the heart of downtown Montreal, I chose Le Nouvel Hotel partly because of its proximity to Crescent Street, and largely because of the perceived value for a crowd. We were not disappointed! Parking is in a garage, and cheaper than what I've paid elsewhere in the city. The hotel corridors look dated, but are clean. The […] rooms are similarly basic but clean, and the hotel is truly non-smoking, unlike other "non-smoking" hotels I've stayed at. I would have preferred an extra, more comfortable chair for reading, in addition to the rather stiff desk chair, but that's a small thing. At times, I wondered if we were the only guests at the hotel! The hotel is about three to four blocks west of Crescent Street, with the Guy-Concordia (green) and Lucien L'Allier (orange) Metro stops about the same distance away, and Sainte-Catherine's treasure trove of sights and shopping about the same distance. You're just close enough to the main drag without actually being there - so you miss out on the drunk partiers yelling in the street at 2am. If I weren't looking for a closer walk to the lounge and pub scene - for sure, Crescent has that, but there's so much more than just Crescent Street - I would gladly stay here again. Overall I had a nice stay, but this is not the 5 star hotel you might be expecting. The shower didn't drain, and it had a poor design so that it was incredibly easy to flood the bathroom. Items throughout the hotel were clearly old and deteriorating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, comfortable accommodations"
The location of the hotel was the reason we chose it---a chance to park the car safely and get around the city easily by foot and metro. We were pleasantly surprised to find our accommodations were attractive and comfortable, more than we expected.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK place to stay"
This hotel is located very conveniently to a major street with lots of dining options (also seemed to have a college party scene). The area is slightly suspicious but we didn't have any problems, making short walks at night. The room was comfortable but not dazzling. We had to ask for a little bit of service, which took a little bit longer than expected, […] but was ultimately satisfactory. The staff was very courteous, and bilingual. There's a fee to park in the garage, but easy in and out. I found the elevator a little too close to the front door and the street for my liking, making it feel just a little bit less secure. And the same elevator connected the guest floors to the parking floors, which I found a little odd. The halls seemed a little run down, but nothing serious. We did not try the restaurant. You can probably find better locations, but for our price, this worked out just fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap - ish"
It was the little things...no fridge in the room...things seemed on the cheap side. Loved that it had a work out room, however. I think it needs to be spruced up just a little.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyed my stay"
I stayed here for 5 nights. Upon arriving, I was upgraded to a "condo," which included a kitchenette and eating area. It was more than enough space for one person and could easily fit a family. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was okay, we were expecting better. The two queen beds were comfortable, old style TV. I was the other end of Rene Levesque, not in the center of town. The parking was half outdoors, half in the garage, a good system if you need use of the car during your stay. THe personnel were polite, and the price was low.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!"
This hotel was a disappointing one. The location was okay, but everything else was a thumbs down! The room had dirty sheets with holes in them. The air conditioner was awful. The shower head pressure was virtually nonexistent and left you feeling dirty. Even though they "upgraded" us, the room was definitely nowhere near upgrade status. The location […] of the "spa" and fitness area was right by the parking lot. WHO DOES THAT? The ice machine is also located by the parking lot. The corridor area leading from the parking lot into the hotel is drenched by a horrendous stench. It pretty much smelled like the sewer! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! "A good weekend"
Le Nouvel is a quaint hotel - it could use a bit of a facelift but it's not without its charm. It's clean, comfortable, affordable, and close enough to the big attractions of the city that guests can come and go without need for rush.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very old hotel that has a 90s renovation feel"
For the money, what should I expect. The carpet in the elevator had duct tape holding it down on the front- yes carpet in the elevator- who would have thunk it. Plus, it looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. The decor was very motel 6ish, or a hotel that is definitely not 3 stars, maybe 1.5 for quality and 3 for location, but that was about […] it. Not impressed, and feel that the pics, although accurate, were misleading of the entire rest of the building. There were young kids standing outside in the courtyard smoking at any time of the day, as this hotel is part of a larger apartment building it seems. Not for families or females traveling alone. Caveat Emptor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfectly nice place in downtown Montreal"
I've been staying at Le Nouvel Hotel for many years and have found it a comfortable and clean environment. I've also always liked the fact that the windows can be cracked open for fresh air at night. That is over. The windows are sealed "for safety" and the a/c is extremely noisy, so in my opinion, the attractiveness of this hotel is diminished.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
