The hotel got off on the wrong foot; being an older hotel (but with nice amenities and lovey location), there are certain features it lacks, like a lift. If you want a nice upper floor room, be preprared to drag your luggage up/down many sets of stairs. The staff are polite and helpful, except when our toilet broke on our final day, and they were powerless […] to repair it - no engineer on the weekends. I find that rather ridiculous, since malfunctions aren't on a 5-day schedule the last I heard. They did give us an option to relocate, which is obviously inconvenient, especially when you will be checking out the next morning anyway. The room was clean, but why housekeeping cannot always give you the same number of towels every day is mystifying. I did note the lack of AC in our room, which we didn't need in the fine Spring weather, but I question how comfortable it would be in the heat of Summer. Read more

Stayed here with a few colleagues - rooms were incredibly cheap, less than £50 each. All rooms were fine - clean and well maintained, as usual got put into a room miles from entrance because it was a cheap deal but other than that ok. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room was great - double and 2 single beds for my family of 4 with adequate space. Tea and coffee making facilities in room also. Stayed with my Mum and loved the Spa, the infinity thermal suite pool is fab. The food in the restaurant was great (had the steak) although I agree with the other reviews about drinks being pricey. The tea rooms were also good value , although the pub was closed due to refurb so I can't rate this one.

A very nice combined old and new style hotel with friendly staff, great facilities and a restaurant that's not too expensive. This was my second visit and this time I was put in a room in the old part of the hotel where the rooms have all the usual amenities you would expect but in a unique layout. The best part was the bedroom, although it was a long way from reception, and involved going outside. The bed was not comfortable but the bedding and furnishings were fine.The smell in the bathroom improved once the filthy shower curtain had been removed. We stayed on a family room on a room only basis. Everything met our needs and we would stay there again. Extra bed was an actual single bed not a sofa or pull out bed. We made use of the swimming pool and spa which are recommended.

We have stayed here about 5 times now and love the leisure facilities and the surrounding views but overall I feel their standards have dropped somewhat over the past 12 months. This was still a lovely little mini break but we went with the sole intention of "spaing" the booking had to be bumped back a week as the spa was out of action when we arrived […] with no sign of it being up and running during our stay. On arriving at the hotel we firstly found out that we couldn't enter the reception from the main entrance due to us having a pram and it being a revolving door. For some reason the door next to it was locked. We had to walk around to find an entrance. Once at reception we were given our key and told where our room was.( Please bear in mind we had a […] small baby, pram and baggage) We headed in the direction that we were told and there was no sign of our room so we headed back to reception to ask again and to see if it was upstairs. Yet again the receptionist told us the same and that it was just down the corridor and not upstairs. We yet again went to where she said and nope you guessed it, No sign of our room! We decided we would have a look upstairs and Yes you guessed it there was our room! I headed back to reception to ask where the lift was and the answer was "Sorry there is no lift to your room" Surely the fact that I had asked for a cot in the room would make you think that I would need a lift? So we are in the room and trying to relax and BANG.. The doors of the next room slammed. Well I thought it might just be the one door but nope,, All night BANG BANG The spring loaded doors were so loud. Everytime one shut it scared my baby. Worse was to come, In the morning whilst packing, We checked under the bed for our belongings and we found a used vibrator. We did find it funny BUT I had booked a family room. We had a short midweek stay at the Last Drop and found it very comfortable despite being a little way from the main hotel in a room above a site shop. The staff were helpful and polite. The amenities included a lovely spa and gym which residents can use for free.

Room was not vacuumed during 7 night stay. Other carpet areas in hotel looked grubby. Breakfast was a nightmare, service was terrible, not enough staff. From what I've read in other reviews, I think the rooms are in two Blocks. We stayed in the one beside the Pool Complex and the room was excellent. We use many, many hotels as a base for Sports Trips (i.e. we seldom eat in) and this Hotel was perfect. Great room and a great pool complex to relax in.

Shame that arrivals are confrontational, not really what you need after a long journey. Had my camera stolen.Had bar lunch on Tuesday evening with camera. Went straight to room. When left to take luggage to car in morning room was being cleaned. Camera either stolen there or in bar. Hotel was lovely ... The spa was really nice too much better than we expected. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were superb. If I had to criticise one thing it would be that Hotel seems slightly understaffed ... however if you are patient to wait your turn the service is great.

We really enjoyed our stay, unfortunately, this was spoilt between 2am & 5am in the morning by a few drunken people, disturbing the peace, by shouting loudly, banging on room doors.
