The hotel was located in a very nice area. We were about a 5 minute drive away from downtown and right across the road from the beach. Although we went in the winter the view was still spectacular and the drive to downtown was quick and easy.

The stay was just what we expected. We were in town for a high school golf tournament, and everything was great...from the room, right down to the pool area and continental breakfast. The boys enjoyed themselves as did the parents.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Meets the needs very well"
I was in town for a conference. Being that I carpooled with a colleague, I did not have my own vehicle. Being at this hotel, without a vehicle can be a challenge because the community does not have sidewalks installed for walking. There is a beautiful, paved bike trail, but to walk into Traverse City, it is a 2-mile walk. Would be nice if there was […] a bike rental nearby. There isn't convenient beach access to the beach. You can see the water, but access is not available. However, a park is under construction, so that may change within the year. WE GOT THERE SO EARLY BEFORE CHECK-IN, THAT IAN OFFERED TO CALL US WHEN AN EARLY ROOM BECAME AVAILABLE. WE RELAXED AT AN OPEN- AIR DECK DOWN THE ROAD (@ A TIKI BAR) AND ENJOYED THE TC AIRSHOW... Overall for the money this hotel is fine. Check in process was good. The room had a certain odor that my wife noted smelled like a dog or some other animal. Not real bad but noticable when you first walked in. The room didn't have a "no smoking" sign by the door, may have been the reason. I noticed the rooms on the 3rd floor did have "no smoking" signs. […] The breakfast area was basically un staffed. Tables were dirty, trash cans filled. Popular items were gone at times. Location was ok unless you wanted to stay right in Traverse City.
