In order to get to your hotel room you need to go through the man outside the elevator. I stayed at this hotel on April 27, 2013. When I booked this hotel, there was no notice that they would be under construction. I was rudely woken up by the sound of loud power drills and hammers right under me every morning. I tried to let it go, but by the second day the construction workers kept working until 10pm when I was ready to call it a night. I called the manager to notify them of […] the issue and how my whole stay at the hotel was a bad experience due to the loud noises. I was offered the option to move to another room, but that would have been another inconvenience because I was already in the bed trying to sleep. To make a long story short, do not stay at this hotel if you are used to staying at hotels that value the customer experience and will reimburse you bad experiences due to their part. A simple apology is all you will get and then you will awake to the same issue again the next morning... They do not care about retaining clients! Read more

This hotel was under remodeling . Pool and gym closed . I wish I knew that at the time of booking. In their defense, they had an agreement with hotel next door to make us feel welcome and use their facilities . The security in this hotel is an A plus.

I walked in one night at 2am, and there was no security or hotel personnel to be seen at all. No one! Not at the desk, not anywhere visible in the lobby. This is a high crime are, so needless to say, that was very disconcerting. Also, the pool and gym are undergoing repairs, so not having those facilities was very frustrating. I spent three days in The Hotel Magna and would recommend it. The price is very reasonable although the Internet is $9 a day. The rooms was very comfortable and the view was nice.

The hotel is currently undergoing a change in management so things aren't necessarily working as well as they will after the change is complete. I found the hotel to be very convenient for what I needed to accomplish and the resturant menu was of adequate variety and reasonably priced. The luncheon buffet was very, very overpriced......

When we arrived at the lobby to register we were greeted with a great tropical drink. the staff was excellent from the desk personnel to the maid. Great hotel was the Meila hotel but now under a new name. Easy check in. Rooms clean - beds amazing. Ocean view from some rooms are not very good as you have to look to the left to see it other rooms has a nice view of the ocean. Casino was very busy and the night club was good. Had buffet breakfast it was - OK not the best but it did the job. Prices […] for room service and drinks are very good. Car park was full late in the evening so if you go out you might have to park at the back a bit of a walk from the hotel. I woke up to find an old guy washing my car. I saw one or two short hairs in the bathroom (although I am very picky). The attention was terrific! Also, they gave me two free codes for the internet (one for my phone and one for my computer). They even offer me to go to their computer room to see if I could find a better rate on expedia!
